Our 12-year old garage door opener decided to die at mid-afternoon on a drizzly Friday afternoon. We had used Overhead Door several times in the past - purchasing the reinforcing bar for the top of a couple of garage doors that had not had them installed before, and purchasing a couple of new garage doors and a new garage door opener for a daughter. The expertise and knowledge of the company made them our first choice to call concerning our non-working opener. As indicated in the services performed area of this review, the personnel at Overhead Door were very responsive, and, most importantly, provided us advice that we felt was honest and accurate. Even though it was a drizzly, cold day, and a mid-to-late Friday afternoon to boot, Overhead Door responded quickly in delivering a new garage door opener, removing the old system, and installing and fully checking the new v-e-r-y quiet opener. The quoted price on the telephone was the exact same as we were billed following the installation, and the price was quite reasonable. What made this event important is the speed and responsiveness of Overhead Door in reacting to our problem and request for help, especially on a late Friday afternoon. Their professionalism, quality people, and quality products made a dreary Friday afternoon brighter as a result of their efforts. We will continue to use them as our first choice for any garage door/opener-related service or product requirements.

There have been a couple of regular maintenance calls. One of the garage door panels wore out. So, I called them about 10 o’clock on Friday and they were out to look at it within 3 hours. They had somebody out here to fix it by Monday morning. It was $246.05 for the last service. I have had great success with them for years. They did an outstanding job of installing the door. Whenever I have had a problem which is rare, they have been here within a few hours to fix it. I can’t imagine the pricing being any better. Their responsiveness can’t get any better. I would definitely use their services in the future too.

The entire experience could not have been better or easier. My reference to Overhead Door came from perusing the available companies here on Angie's List and reading some of the reports from other customers. Please call these guys if you need a repair or replacement of any part of your garage doors.

Work was done to my satisfaction. Person was very professional and likable.

They called first to let us know the approximate time they would be there, and they were there within the time they said. It took less than 30 minutes to fix the garage door. They were great to come out and fix the door with little notice. I would use them again in a heart beat.

About a year ago, another company replaced a broken spring in one of our two garage doors. They charged $189. Later I noticed how hard the opener was laboring to open the door. Manually opening it (emergency cord pulled) was very difficult. They came out and adjusted the spring but it didn't help. When the other garage door spring broke today, I called Overhead Door. They replaced the broken spring, then explained that the other company had installed the wrong spring in the first door, a spring intended for a much lighter weight door. They exchanged the wrong spring for the correct one. The whole job cost us only $192!

I called at 10 a.m., Juan was at the house at 3 p.m. and finished at 3:30. He pointed out that the opener was 16 years old and I may want to consider replacing the whole thing for a couple of hundred more dollars. I passed on that, but appreciated the advice.

My garage door spring was inop and rusted. The garage door opener failed as a result of the stress from the poor condition of the springs. I called Overhead Door, original installer of the door and opener in 2007, seeking warranty information because my invoice did not have the information. When I explained what happened with the door I was informed that OD provided only a 1 year parts and labor warranty. Would have been good to know this when I was sold the door and it is partially my fault for not specifically addressing the warranty at the time of purchase. Anyway, the company did not appear to want to take the initiative to "make things right" with me just and said a new spring and opener would be somewhere around 4-5 hundred dollars. They did not offer to come out and inspect the issue. So, I went with a competitor and they came out the next day to "inspect" my garage. They repaired everything for $160. Turns out all I needed was maintenance on the spring, a heavy dose of oil, some new sensors for ones that had corroded and a coupler for the opener. Told me all the things I needed to know to perform preventive maintenance to keep the door in the best possible condition. None of this was said by OD when they first installed the original unit. All works like new now. My main point is that there are companies out there that will go the extra mile to establish a satisfied customer base. This company isn't one of them.

He showed up when he said he would and did the job. One person did the entire work himself. There was no crew. He was here the whole day. Overhead Door Co. was reasonably priced. I would highly recommend them.

Representative came the day before to insure site was ready and there would be no surprises. Technician arrived a little before expected time for the job (called before arrival). Completed on time and in a professional manner. All contacts were pleasant, courteous, and professional.

After they fixed it for the first time, the door was jammed on the side that was not broken. I called the office back the same day to report the problem. They sent another person out the next day in the afternoon. He was able to get the door to open but it was slanted when trying to open it. he said that was the best that he could do and left.

They were punctual and came when they said they would. The work took less time than I expected.

The workman was very professional. Arrived when the office said he would arrive. He assured us that the problem was not as bad as we had thought and quickly fixed the door in less than an hour.

It could not have gone better. I called in the morning; this was not an emergency, yet they said they would have someone out that afternoon. He needed to less work than I thought - a big plus. He was efficient, knowledgeable and pleasant.

I didn't shop around because the price seemed fair. they showed up the next day to do an assessment, and the following day to do the work. No problems

This company was on time, on quote and performed the job in an hour. Even with me standing there asking him questions. He cleaned up and took my credit card info and was on his way. My garage door is quieter and works perfectly. Also he never tried to sell me anything or upgrade me.

They were punctual. They were clean and cleaned up the mess when they left. They did everything perfect. You couldn't ask for a better job. They were willing to take time and make sure we understood what was going on. We felt that they went beyond what they needed to do.

Wow! Talk about a loud, crashing noise in the middle of the night! I woke up thinking that a car might have crashed into my house! Well, my 2-car garage door had come crashing down. I made a total of three different calls to see who could come fix my problem. When I called Overhead Door they were pleasant & professional AND could make a same day service call! Juan, the technician showed up at the allocated time slot. He was courteous and professional and went quickly to work to find out what needed fixing. As far as price goes, I feel this company came under the other quotes I got on the phone. I was very pleased with this service and would recommend to anyone.

We were very pleased with the work. The price was very competitive and it was less than what I thought it would be. They made an appointment and got here on time. It only took about three hours which we thought was out standing.

I will be selling this house shortly and buying another one. I not only will call upon these folks to install another system for me, but will also highly recommend them to my friends!!

Technician, Juan, arrived at the agreed-upon time. He was professional. I felt that he was urging me to replace the whole garage door opener system, and order 2 new remotes, while I needed to just replace the gear & sprocket parts. He stressed that he could not guarantee his work if I only replaced the parts, and stressed the protection of a full warranty if I replaced the total system. His quoted price for total replacement of the system with 2 remotes was $316.08.

I called Overhead Door Co. on a Monday to request service. They were able to schedule a technician for the next day. I asked for an afternoon appointment because the problem was most evident in the afternoons. I was told to call back on Tuesday morning around 8:30 to verify the time for my appointment. When I called on Tuesday at 8:30 am, I found that I had been scheduled first thing in the morning at 9 am. I explained that my problem didn't normally happen that early in the day, which is why I requested an afternoon appointment. The dispatcher on the phone told me that someone would call me back right away, but no one did so I called back 30 minutes later at 9 am. Fortunately, they were able to switch my appointment to the afternoon. The technician called before he came out to the house and I wasn't home; I missed him by about 10 minutes! I called the dispatcher back as soon as I got home and the technician returned immediately. I'm happy with the result even with the few mix-ups.

I called Overhead Door two days before we were leaving on vacation. When I explained the situation, the facilitator promised to get someone out the next morning, which he did. (The work order was marked, "early as possible.") The technician could not find a reason for the random opening and closing, but he lubed everything and said there was a 90-day warranty if it happened again. I asked about a replacement remote, and he had one on the truck. He also volunteered to lower the wall console to make it easier for me to use from my wheelchair, and showed me where the off-switch was so I could insure that the door would not open while we were gone.

I had used these folks previously to install a new garage door opener, so they were my first choice when I needed new doors. The workman arrived on time and took the predicted two and a half hours to install both steel garage doors. I got the color and design I picked out at their showroom, and he did a competent job of installing the doors. Based on previous checks I made, I think the price was on par with what other companies charge for that quality of door. I did get windows in each door, which raised the cost a bit, but I prefer having natural light in the garage. The only complaint I have is that he left a large (3 inch long), pointed screw in the driveway that could have punctured a tire if I hadn't seen it before I got into my car.

The company technician arrived at 2:15, in their scheduled 1pm to 3pm window of service. The technician did an outstanding job and replaced the broken spring in under an hour. He also instructed me on how to lubricate the new spring. The estimate from the front office was $118 to $125, and the actual cost was $123.65. I highly recommend this company for garage door repairs.
