We were having problems with our washing machine and since we didn';t know anyone to fix it...we went to Angie's List. We ended up calling NextService,. When calling, the receptionist was really nice and professional on the phone and we ended up setting an appointment for the following day between 4-6 pm. (we both worked so afternoon was better for us) The tech came out at around 5:30 and tested the machine to find out what the problem was. It ended up being the timer, which he didn't have one for our make of washing machine and so he asked if he could come back the following day during the same hours. We said yes. He did come back with the timer, fixed in quickly, and our washing machine is now working great! This is a small business, and they were very good! We would definately have them again! They handled everything professionally and was friendly and respectful while working on the machine. I highly recommend them to anyone who needs any type of large appliance repaired!!! THANK YOU NEXT SERVICE..FOR A job WELL DONE!

The appliance is from Sears and we have a warranty. Within a year’s span, they came out three different times and the ice maker was still leaking. When Next Service came out, he was able to complete the repair right on the spot. They were very quick and able to come out the next day. Both the husband and wife were very friendly and knowledgeable. Compared to the costs that Sears was charging the warranty company for the previous visits, Next Service was very reasonable. The man who came out was very fabulous, knowledgeable, and professional. Everything turned out very well with the service.

I needed repairs to my washing machine and dish washer. The company had someone come out the very next day. The technician asked my which item I wanted to repaired first than did so keeping me appraised of the time it would take and cost. I had him return the next day to fix the other appliance because it was getting late. Excellent work, recommend them highly.

He did everything he said he was going to do. He showed up on time and everything was good. The deal was that he was going to come in here and troubleshoot and diagnose the problem of my clothes dryer and that money would then go towards the repair if I decide to make the repair. When the gentleman came over here, he looked at it, but because of the age of the dryer and the fact that the actual model number couldn't be located, he couldn't do anything. He gave a basic checkup and called up a week and a half later to tell me he could not find the part and the only thing he would be able to do is to tear it apart and then try to find the pieces. However, I couldn’t afford to let the dryer just sit until he could find the parts.

I had processed the elimination figure down that it was one or two things but did not have the equipment to do a certification, and that is what he did. He eliminated it, tested it, confirmed it, and gave me a written diagnostic that there was a manufacture defect. It went well and was well worth the money. They booked their contact to confirm the appointment, spelling out exactly what they were going to do. It was diagnostic, it was not a repair, and I would have an answer before the test, and all those things came to pass. I would use them in the future.
Description of Work: We used Next Service. We had purchased a big deal for the service and it turned out very well. He checked a dual refrigerator, and the freezer was problematic. It was dispensing ice, but it was not dispensing water, and that line was frozen.

The technician was very professional and punctual. It helped that I provided the model of the refridgerator, and he had to go get the part, but was quickly back and had it fixed before I knew it. I would highly recommend this company for any appliance fixes. Also extremely fair on the price. I felt it was a good fix.

Dispatch was prompt and friendly. Technician was on time and friendly. Quickly diagnosed the problem as low freon and said it would cost about $184 to refill. Said there was a leak in the lines but because the lines are in the walls of the freezer, they can not be repaired so there was not way of knowing how long the freon would last. Recommended not to refill and replace the Freezer. The Freezer was over 20 years old. I would use them again and recommend their service.

The owner and staff were very punctual and professional. I did have some trouble reaching the office in that when I left a message I did not get a return call. I had to call them back. The product that was installed I am having some questions about. We have had to call them back out several times for problems and there is still something wrong with the unit. The owner has been very responsive but it is still a frustrating process.

The office called to say the technician was on the way. He arrived on time and diagnosed my problem. He needed to order a part to do the repair. There was a miscommunication about the part order and it took several tries to get in touch with the company. Once I made contact with them and got the details cleared up they gave us a 10-2 o'clock window for the repair visit. The technician arrived just before 2:00 and made the repairs.

We discovered early Saturday morning that our refrigerator was not cooling. Called several repair places, but they were either not open or were already booked. Tried NextService and was very pleased. The technician arrived in about an hour, diagnosed the problem and was able to find the part that we needed locally. He immediately drove to pick up the part and returned within an hour to install it. After installion, he checked to see that it was working and carefully cleaned up after himself. This was our first time to use Next, but we will definitely call them again.

The were awesome they were on time very professional. The young man that came out discovered a few issues and drove across town to receive a part we needed. He was gone a hour and a half due to traffic and how far he had to go to receive our part. He then came back and completed the job and I am very satisfied with service.

The repairman showed up on time and quickly diagnosed the problem. We agreed on a time for the repair work to be done but rescheduled once for our convenience.The work was completed on the rescheduled day. We appreciated the flexibility to accomadate our busy schedules. Our dryer is working like new!

Our dishwasher was working intermittently. So we had them look at it. The first time the technician took the door apart and inspected it and suggested that everything seemed ok and we try using dish rinse saying that it might be causing the beeping and to call them back if that didnt fix the issue. We tried the suggestion and it still was having the issue. So we called them a second time. The same technician came and suggested that we get the computer on the door fixed. He said it will cost $120 for parts and $80 for labor and it will come with a 3 month warranty. Seemed like too much to spend for a 4 year old appliance and we decided not to go with the repairs and replace it instead.

In the effort of saving money to our clients we always suggest the least expensive options first in this case a free second visit was needed to follow up and we quoted the member in our second visit and he decided not to go with the repairs and replace it instead. I own a rental house and my tenant was complaining about the dishwasher not working properly. The technician checked it out and found nothing wrong with the appliance but he suggested to the tenant that she run the hot water in the sink and the garbage disposal before turning on the dishwasher. That and my suggestion of using better quality detergent did the trick. There have been no more instances of globby glasses and my tenant seems happy.

NextService actually came out for a washer call but we starting talking about air and heating units and they told me about a special that they had till the end of the month for complete new air and heating units. It was a deal we did not want to pass up. Called them back in a couple of days and they were out the next day to evaluate the job. The job was done in the time stated and the price quoted. Workers were great, friendly and so professional. Thanks NextService.

We had purchased a big deal for the service. I talked to my renters, and they said they were very thorough, checked everything out, and gave a written report of what the issues were, which weren't too many. They came out and did what they were supposed to. They put a pound of freon in, and he said something was set too high, and he had to do something to make it more efficient, and I had to pay more for all that he did. The price for the big deal was very good, and I thought the price they charged for the repair was reasonable.

After speaking to my wife last night, we've decided to cancel our request for service/repair. I called Nextservice twice this morning (10/23), starting at 9:05 and only got an answering machine. The second time (about 9:25), I left a message informing Nextservice of our desire to cancel and apologizing for my poor behavior the day before. Please do not order the water pump, as your Service Manager (Azael) and I discussed last night. Now, I would like to address the before mentioned situation from my perspective. Monday afternoon, 10/21, I purchased a Nextservice repair diagnostic voucher through the Angie's List web site. I asked for an appointment for either the evening of 10/22 or the evening of 10/23. I also provided my washer's make, model number, serial number and the error codes we were experiencing. The next morning, 10/22, I "googled" Nextservice, found their phone number and called to check on the appointment. I spoke with a young lady who told me she had received my request for an appointment and that they would be out that afternoon between 2 & 6 p.m. (She also told me a message had been sent to that effect through Angie's List messaging.) I told the young lady I didn't even know there was such a thing and asked that she contact my wife and I by phone instead. I also asked if she would let my wife know of the afternoon appointment. She said she would. At 3:05 yesterday afternoon, 10/22, the young lady called me and said that the service tech was on his way, but my wife hadn't answered her phone. I asked her when the tech would be at my house. She said in about 20 minutes. I reluctantly left work and headed home, arriving by about 3:30 p.m. As I was driving, I called my wife and she admitted receiving a call from Nextservice but hadn't been able to answer. I asked her if she had received a call from Nextservice that morning, giving her a "heads-up", so she could plan her day. (As we were speaking, she was 25 miles from home.) She told me "no". Not just a little frustrated, I called the young lady back and expressed my displeasure over the lack of good communication. I asked her why she hadn't called my wife, after we had spoken in the morning. She told me she had sent a message through Angie's List messaging. I told her that wasn't my understanding and wasn't good enough. I told her I was on my way home and then, abruptly hung up the phone. (I fully admit that I could and should have handled the situation more calmly. I am sorry for not doing so. In my defense, while highly frustrated and agitated, I never cursed or used offensive language.) Upon arriving home at 3:30 p.m., no service tech was present. At approximately 3:45, I called Nextservice. I got an answering machine. I called 15-20 times over the next 40 minutes and continually got an answering machine, until the Service Manager (Azael) finally answered the phone at about 4:20 p.m. He informed me they had decided to not come out, as they reserved the right to refuse service, saying I was impolite and abusive on the phone. He also told me the cancellation was communicated via Angie's List messaging. (As I was driving and don't even own a smart phone, it was not possible for me to know about the cancellation. Had I received a call instead, I could have returned to work, having only been away from the office for no more than 5 minutes.) I calmly explained my side of the story to the Service Manager, who then asked me if I would still like for a service tech to come out. I said "yes" and gave him the machine information I had provided the day before. He called me back in about 20 minutes and told me he thought the water pump was bad and it would cost about $300 for the repair. He asked me if I still wanted to have the repair done. I said "yes". He told me he would track down the pump and come out himself, within the next hour or so. He called me back in about 5 minutes and informed me that the water pump was on back order and would not be available for approximately 10 days. I asked him to give me a call when it had arrived, so we might schedule the repair. He said he would. (As a side note, the Service Manager told me that Angie's List requires "Big Deal" providers to exclusively communicate to customers via Angie's List messaging. Obviously, at least in our case, not a very effective or efficient communication method.) I then called Whirlpool customer service and was told the price for a new water pump, including shipping would be $174.08. I could receive it in two days. After my wife got home, we discussed the events of the afternoon and decided to cancel our request for service from Nextservice. We both felt uncomfortable with receiving a diagnostic over the phone, given the fact we had purchased a voucher for an in-home repair diagnostic. What if the problem is something other than the water pump?
