National Property Inspections

When I arrived at the property, Mr. Twyford had already arrived and begun the inspection. He was extremely through, and inspected every aspect of the home and its construction quality. He took photos, and when he had finished the inspection, he explained to me clearly on my terms each deficiency and why if was important, along with what the long-term effects of not correcting it would be. He e-mailed a detailed report the following day, which I forwarded to our builder. The builder forwarded the summary report on to each and every contractor & sub-contractor, ordering corrections to be completed prior to closing. While the inspection was extremely affordable ($325), I estimate he easily saved us thousands of dollars in potential repairs and problems down the road, at the very latest, when we sell our home in the future. Not only will I recommend Mr. Twyford, I will hire him to do a follow-up inspection following repairs.

Very profession, detailed and reasonable price. The inspection performed was of high detail with color photos. This particular home we were interested was upgraded inside/out and seemed move in ready. After NPI inspected and identified several serious issue with the roof, HVAC, and electrical that ultimately lead as deal breaker on not purchasing the home.We later called NPI again to inspect another home. NPI performed the same professionalism and attention to detail as before that we are purchasing this home.A phone call and online communication and payment was all it took.

Mr. Twyford and his assistant arrived on time and performed a very thorough inspection of our home and all major systems, both inside and out. They found issues that our pre-sale inspector had overlooked. They were professional and very knowledgeable about all aspects of the inspection. They took the time to review the report with us before they left and answered all our questions. The same evening they emailed us a detailed report with color photos and a summary report to submit to our home warranty company. Overall we were very pleased with their work. Our only regret was that we did not use them for our pre-sale inspection when we could have had several issues corrected before we closed on our new home. Mr. Twyford is an honest and skilled inspector and we would highly recommend him to our friends and family.

Superb! On-time, professional, ansered all my many questions, tested and looked hard at everything in the home and on the property. Distinctly point out the critical verusus the good to know issues and fixes. Emailed a very thorough report tha same day with color photos detailing all the same issues discovered during the inspection. Took the time to make recommendations and always respected the property ... removed shoes before entering the home. Brought all their own tools and equipment asking for nothing to get the job done right. Spent extra time on items and issues I question. They have earned the highest recommendation I can give. I would hire them again and again.

I'm building my first custom home and decided it was in my best interested to hire a third party and professional in the industry to inspect the construction at several critical phases during the build process. Based on location of home and soil type, I wanted the inspection process to begin before slab pour. Rodney?s company, NPI, is one of the few I contacted that could /would perform all the inspections I needed to include pre-slab pour, pre-cover, post finish and trim, and one final inspection prior to the expiration of the builders 1 st year warranty. NPI has completed the first two inspection and so far so good. Rodney scheduled the appointments on short notice, conducted very thorough inspections every time, found items that truly needed correction (not superficial), and provided his detailed report the same day. When this happened for the first inspection I assumed Rodney was being very accommodating because this was the first time we?ve conducted business. No, this has been the pattern of Rodney?s professional behavior and I have to say I?m glad I did my Angie?s list research before hiring NPI. The reviews were favorable and now I know why. NPI and Rodney offer consistently prompt, accommodating, thorough, professional service at a reasonable price. What more can you ask for. I?ll definitely continue to use NPI?s services in the future and highly recommend Rodney, his staff and NPI.

Overall I was very pleased with this Company. Rodney was very professional,polite and friendly. I am so glad I had him to come out and inspect the Mobil Home otherwise I would have never known all of the repairs it needed. I would not hesitate to recommend his Company to anyone needing a home inspection . Rodney also sent me a 30 page E Mail describing exactly what he found concerning the condition of the house,along with pictures. I received this report the same day he conducted the inspection.

All I can say is WOW!!! He is top notch, very personable, thorough and extremely professional. As others have said here, 'we got more than we expected.' He got there early as did the termite inspector. The water was not turned on yet, so he inspected the entire house and finally SAWS came to turn on the water and he completed the rest of the inspection including the sprinkler system. We had our reports that evening!!!!!

Rodney was able to accommodate our schedule by coming during a holiday week. He went right to work and inspected everything inside and outside. He provided written details as well as clear pictures of all areas of concern, most of which we were unaware. The report was e-mailed to us the next day and included a summary prepared for the builder that we easily forwarded. He was friendly, polite, and thorough. The experience was pleasant and painless. The discount was a nice surprise, too.

They got out here very quickly during the holidays. He only charged me $75 because I was a member of Angie's List. I didn’t really expect anything more than him coming out and inspecting the chimney but he also went back and wrote up a detailed report the very same day and sent it to me, along with the photos that he took, which was really nice.

Mr. Twyford arrived early and immediately began the inspection. He inspected both the interior and exterior of the home, including all electrical appliances, outlets, plumbing fixtures, HVAC system and sprinkler system. He took multiple pictures of any area of concern, and once the formal inspection was complete he proceeded to load the pictures on his computer and then reviewed each picture with me, taking the time to discuss what each picture represented. The overall process took approximately 3 hours. I found Mr. Twyford to be very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. He e-mailed the completed inspection report within 24 hours. I would highly recommend his services.

My boyfriend and I are first time home buyers and we had no idea what to expect from a home inspection. After reading all the great reviews on Angie's list, we decided to call NPI to get more information. Rodney was very polite on the phone and answered all of my many questions with patience and kindness. He explained everything that would be covered in the inspection, and gave me a price quote up front so we knew what to expect ahead of time. Knowing that the property was a foreclosure, we decided to also get a termite inspection at the same time, and Rodney was able to bring a certified inspector, and he was able to quote me upfront for that as well and include it in the total price (and I am glad we did because we found out the property has termites).On the inspection day, Rodney was very prompt, courteous, and professional. He conducted a very thorough inspection of the home and took the time to go over every detail with us in person. We received the pictures he took, alongside his detailed report, within 24 hours; something we really appreciated! If we decide not to purchase this property, we will definitely use Rodney again, and I will be referring him to any of our friends who may be purchasing a home in the future

The first property was a short sale that had been empty for some time (and had some damage from weather related issues and deferred maintenance). Rodney showed me everything that needed to be fixed and things that were "ok" but should be upgraded. I used his input to know what I was comfortable offering the bank. Although the deal didn't go through I was comfortable with my offer because I was an informed consumer thanks to Rodney's diligence. The second property faced the same scrutiny and again Rodney's report was professional, detailed and key to me formulating an offer. I would recommend Rodney as an inspector to friends, family and realtors alike.

Mr Tyford sent us a detialed report with all the pictures. He did find a some things that needed to be fixed or dealt with, even some small things I would never have thought to check for. He did a great job and I would recommend him to anyone needing an inspection,

We contacted Mr. Twyford due to the positive reports we had read on Angie’s List. Mr. Twyford conducted a painstaking systematic inspection of the property and did not hesitate to crawl under the house or go into the attic although the outside temperature was well over 105?. Mr. Twyford brought along Mr. Esparza from EPEST to conduct our requested termite inspection. Mr. Esparza also conducted a very detailed inspection and provided us with an initial verbal assessment and sent us a complete written report the next day. We received the written report from Mr. Twyford the next day and although we knew that the property had some obvious problems we had no idea that the problems were so extensive. We are very happy that we spent the time and money to get the home inspected by Mr. Twyford and appreciate that he conducted such a comprehensive inspection. We are happy that we walked away from the property that we felt was going to end up being nothing more than a true money pit. Mr. Twyford and Mr. Esparza are true professionals and we will not hesitate to contact them again once we find our next potential dream home.

We were very happy with Rodney Twyford's home inspection. He responded the same day to an email inquiry, gave a firm estimate beforehand (with a discount for Angie's List members) and was both prompt and thorough. He caught all kinds of items that we didn't know about and are getting tidied up now. Fortunately, there wasn't any major defect in the property, but he spent the time to go over everything in detail, and we're glad he did because now we can get these things fixed. He sent the full inspection report, with color pictures, back to us within a few hours of the inspection, and included a second summary report for the builder that contained just the items needing attention. As a final note, he has some kind of thermal camera which can read heat patterns in walls, something which many inspectors don't have. It turned out we were missing several squares of insulation in corners and we never would have known otherwise. I definitely recommend Rodney Twyford to anyone who wants a careful home inspection and a prompt report.

Mr. Twyford was very prompt and on time. He performed an extensive inspection of all rooms and the exterior of the house. He went above and beyond to inspect all areas, especially areas known for deficiencies. After the inspection, he compiled the results and provided a comprehensive inspection report complete with pictures. I was quite surprised to see what he had found. He noted my bathroom faucet was off-centered, upper wall area of shower was improperly sealed and areas of the exterior missing paint. There was an electrical wiring deficiency that needs some attention. I am very glad to have had this housing inspection accomplished by Mr. Twyford and completely satisfied with his professional work. Wish there were more honest people out there like him accomplishing exactly what customers expect to receive for their hard earned money. All of his positive feedback speaks for itself and will gladly recommend Mr. Twyford and NPI to others!

I highly recommend Rodney with NPI. He was very responsive to my email, showed up on time, did a very thorough inspection of the house and spent a great deal of time going over the inspection with me. He took a lot of pictures and showed all the areas of concern. I really appreciate that Rodney is not an "alarmist" inspector, but told me the facts and explained many construction issues and electrical issues in plain language. I felt completely comfortable with him the entire time and thought he did an outstanding job.

Rodney was very responsive to my initial contact and able to fit my schedule. He arrived on time and had already started when I reached the house. I found his process to be methodical and thorough. He did not appear rushed and took his time in inspecting everything necessary. At the conclusion of his inspection he went over dozens of photos that he took of the property and made sure I understood every defect that was identified and offered his own thoughts as the the seriousness of the problem and how best to approach them. He was clear in identifying those things that should be brought up as major issues vs. normal wear and tear for a house of this age -- this was very useful for me. His report was received less than 18 hours after the completion of the inspection and was again full of photos and the same information he delivered verbally. I would certainly use Rodney again myself and would recommend him to others without hesitation.

Rodney's was incredibly thorough, and even though he inspected the house in the afternoon, I received the inspection report that evening. I was anxiously awaiting the report and really appreciated the quick turnaround time.

Mr. Rodney Twyford of NPI is meticulous with his home inspection. He is punctual, professional, courteous and informative. He is thorough, organized, and knowledgeable. He pays attention to detail and patiently answers questions asked of him. He appears to have perfected his craft in the methodical approach to the home inspection. He starts outside and works his way inside. He documents his findings with clearly marked photographs and an explanation for each problem. He is prompt and follows-up with a 'General Summary' and a 'Detailed Inspection Report.' He visually inspects every room from top to bottom and follows-up with an infrared heat gun. He gets into each nook and cranny and finds things that the customer is unaware of. He is very thorough with each area that he inspects. Rodney takes approximately 1 1/2 hours to inspect our home and an additional half hour to explain his findings and the reports. He explains the two different reports that he sends via email the following day. He informs us that both reports will have pictures and explanation for each finding. The 'General Summary' is for the builder for warranty repairs. The second is the 'Detailed Inspection Report' for our records. He volunteers to help should the builder have any questions with the 'General Summary.' Mr. Rodney Twyford gives exceptional service. We will gladly recommend him to anyone needing a Home Inspection.

Exceptional service from start to finish! Rodney contacted me within a couple of hours after I made my request via email, and was ready with a quote. We were able to book him immediately. He was very professional on the phone and in person -- showed up promptly, explained everything he was going to do, then sat down with us afterward and explained his findings. He sent us a complete report (with photos) via email the next day, and it has been extremely helpful. We are neither selling nor buying a home, but simply wanted Rodney to give our 11-year-old house a thorough inspection so we could identify and prioritize various repairs and/or upgrades.
