My Repairman

Could not ask for better service. I sent an E Mail over the weekend and first thing Monday AM they called and asked for a description of the problems. The secretary who called was very knowledgeable i.e.. asked about locks, key numbers, etc. She mentioned that they could have a repairman out this day. I agreed, and about 1PM received a call that the technician was on the way. He arrived within 15 minutes. The patio door lock was frozen on the inside, technician removed lock, took it to his service van and returned in about 15 minutes with a perfectly working lock (The same lock he took off). After installation of the fixed lock, he went to each burglar bar window lock and every door lock in the house & garage and applied a special locksmith compound product that made them all key & turn better & made us 3 additional keys we asked for. Absolutely outstanding from the first call to the finished product. Service technician was polite, knowledgeable and did a first rate job on everything he reviewed. repaired. Rest assured, if I need lock or key service again, River City lock & Key will be the first company I will call or ever use. Thank-you for the prompt service and outstanding work.

Alex, the repairman, called before he arrived to let us know that he was on his way. He arrived within the requested time period. He diagnosed the problem with the washer. Luckily, it was easily fixed. He showed us what we could do if the problem happened again. He was very polite and friendly. Since the problem did not require any new parts, he charged us only the amount of the trip charge.

Called My Repairman, got an appointment for the next day. George (senior) called 30 minuets prior to his arrival on day scheduled. Used about 45 minuets to diagnosis problem.Gas valve in dryer was not shutting off completely when dryer was finished hence, this is what was causing the gas to leak. He had to order part from Maytag warehouse. He stated he would have part in a day ore two, we selected Tuesday 20 Dec to complete the repair. Again, 30 minuets prior to arrival, George called and arrived on time. He replaced the broken valve and although he had to basically take the dryer apart to make everything work right he completed the job in an hour and did not increase the agreed upon price because of the extra labor involved. I found this company and the repairmen dependable, honest, and very knowledgeable in their profession of appliance service & repair. I definitely would use them again and highly recommend them to anyone who needs appliance repair. Phone conversations with staff was courteous and professional. All around fine company to do business with, very pleased.

He is a very honest person, comes in and says, "Okay, your refrigerator is 12 years old. I can repair it or you can just get a new one. It's a 50-50 proposition because of the date." That would have meant he would not have had a call and I appreciated that honesty. His point was, you do what you want. Since we liked the refrigerator, we said we're going to take the risk and do it. It was a good price I thought, it was fair. He tells us in advance what he thinks it was going to be, before he gets the parts and sure enough, it's fair. He doesn't surprise you with anything.

We have been pretty pleased with his work. He is very good. He is efficient and come out when he says he is going to be here. The charges are always reasonable.

The tech, David, checked everything, cleaned the coils on the refrigerator, explained that there isn't much to be done with the dishwasher as all its parts are encased, repaired the agitator dogs (I think that's what it says on the work order...ha!) and cleaned the dryer. He did a great job, was professional and punctual. This sort of work is well worth our peace of mind.

Repairman arrived on time as scheduled. 5 minutes of inspection indicated that the heating block was bad. Replacement cost quoted was $171, he had one in the truck and could install right away. He suggested that, because the dryer was 12 years old, was to not repair it and to purchase a new dryer. All things considered, we agreed with the repairman's suggestion and will purchase a new dryer. Service call was $45, which included a $10 senior citizen discount. The accept cash, check or credit card.

Provider spent less than 10 minutes in my home. Was not very cordial. Found the problem with the burnt out wire. Stated we needed to bring in an electrician because the Dryer was not getting sufficient amps. I was shocked the cost was $98 for the less than 15 minutes he spent at my home. I assumed the service fee of $55 would cover his work and not at all pleased with the cost. Could not explain why the Dryer has been working fine for over 10 years with the current amps and he could not provide an answer.

This is the second time I have used this company, and both times they provided excellent service from the time I phoned them until they left. Both of the repairmen, Robert and Alex, were knowledgeable, efficient, and friendly. They answered all my questions and told me exactly what they were doing and how the appliances needed to be repaired. My dryer was not working at all and he identified the problem right away. I will definitely use them again.

Robert, the technician was very friendly, got to the job right away. He explained as he was diagnosing the problem. He was very quick, and professional. I would definitely hire again.

Lubricate my dryer belt and been working ever sense.

George responded right away and accommodated my schedule. He showed up on time and called me 30 minutes before he arrived. He explained everything he was doing and why he was doing it. He completed the job within a half hour. He was very professional and friendly. I would definitely hire him again.

My washing machine has been out of balance, well forever, and I finally decided to call someone. I called yesterday morning and scheduled for My Repairman to come out the same day with a window of 1:00 to 5:00. He called around noon and said he was running ahead of schedule and could he come earlier! He arrived and we told him the problem, he checked out the machine and made some adjustments, got it back into balance and now we can run the washer and carry on a conversation at the same time! It was really getting bad and apparently, when we moved 3 years ago, the delivery guys had not locked the feet (?) and that's why it was out of balance. Alex charged us for a service call of $55.00 which I thought was extremely reasonable. I would definitely recommend My Repairman and will call them again if my appliances need service.

George came out to look at a clients Jenn Air gas cook top; one of the burners was not working properly. His was the 2nd company that we had come out to inspect it. The first company diagnosed the problem somewhat correctly (small burner valve not working, needed replacement),but the part was nla, (thanks, Jenn Air!) and they didn't have it inventory. Prior to calling My Repairman, I made numerous calls to appliance parts companies, internet searches, including Jenn Air - and no one had it. I then decided to call My Repairman, and I met George (the owner) at the appointed time. After checking everything; he decided that there were 2 parts needed; an igniter switch, and the small burner valve). The switch was available but needed to be ordered - and the burner valve that I spent hours looking for - he had one in his truck! He and his assistant checked everything else to be sure it was working correctly, and ordered the switch. The office called me a few days later to schedule the completion of the work when the part came in - I met George back at the house - he completed the work, and double checked to make sure everything was working properly. They did a great job, and saved my clients several thousand dollars (from having to purchase a new cooktop) Extremely happy with the work he did - My Repairman is at the top of my list, and I would recommend to anyone in need of an appliance repair company.

I texted My Repaiman when my dishwasher started making a strange grinding sound. They tesponded quickly and we set up a day for them to come out between 1-5 in the afternoon. He called before arriving about 2:45. He introduced himself and came in and listened to the noise for a couple of seconds. Then he drained the dishwasher and took the bottom apart. He found several pieces of melted plastic down in the drain part, put it back together and that was it. The whole operation probably took about 20 minutes. He was very personable but he was so fast that I barely had a chance to decide. He charged me the price mentioned in the Angies List ad and was out the door. He very obviously knew exactly what he was doing and the whole experience was very easy. Totally worth the money.

Service was prompt -- they came out the day after I called, in the time window promised. Technician was very polite and took the time to explain how my refrigerator worked/wasn't working. Part needed to be ordered so it couldn't be repaired same day, but the tech was able to rig a temporary fix to get us through until the part arrived. The only reason I listed "Professionalism" as "B" instead of "A" is because the person who came out the second time to put in the new part drove an unmarked car (as in, a regular car, vs. a van with the company's name printed on it). It just struck me as odd and a little unsettling. I would call this company again if I had an appliance issue.

George Estrada arrived when scheduled, recommended repair vs replacement. Had to order a thermostat. Scheduled to be back in two day, came back on scheduled. Very professional. Would definitely use him again on any appliance.

George and his teammate showed up on time. I called the day prior and they were able to come straight out. Our washing machine was leaking pretty bad so he recommended looking at a replacement and would provided an estimated cost so that we can make the best economic decision. I have used this company before and will continue they're great.

The dryer wouldn't turn on and the light inside wouldn't come on when the door was opened. We suspected it was something to do with the door switch. The microwave showed that it had electricity (clock worked), but wouldn't turn on; again, suspected it was the door switch. Called for an appointment and made sure to tell the brand of the appliances and what was going on. We were given an appointment for the next day and George (the owner) showed up within the time frame. He explained what he found with each appliance, told how much it would cost to fix it, noting that he'd have to use "universal" switches since neither company was still making those parts (the dryer is 10 years old and the microwave is 20). He was tidy, efficient, and very professional. We plan to use him for all appliance repairs in the future.
