Junk King San Antonio

Initially when they came, I had some problems with the end result, but I met with them, we discussed the problems and they worked very hard to resolve all problems. I must commend Junk King on their diligence and willingness to not rest until I was satisfied with their work. As a result, I am updating and editing my review to show that I would recommend this company.

When the guys sized up the removal they jumped in and was done before I finished my coffee. These guy were just down right great. Lifting a sofa bed and an entertainment center that was 20 years old and HEAVY and out the door in twenty minutes was great. The removal of the two item were worth the cost. If in the future I need to have stuff removed I will sure use Junk King. They were just down right great.

The crew from Junk King showed up right on time, was very professional, and worked very efficiently. After a quick tour of the items to be hauled away, they worked very quickly. They took care when removing the large TV from inside the house, and overall, it was a very satisfactory experience. I would use them again.

I purchased a big deal for trash removal. They came and said my trash pile was larger than what I purchased. They pulled out a grid that had prices with sizes of loads. When I purchased the deal it did not have a size of the load removal I purchased. I was not surprised that this was going on. I told them I would not pay any extra money and just remove the amount of trash that I paid for. The guy had to call his boss and discuss all of it. Then he charged me 10.00 extra for a mattress removal and they told me that this was also not on Angies list notated when I purchased the trash removal. It's always an angle to get more money out of the homeowner. After this experience, I will not purchase any special deals or promotions from Angie's list. They should have offered a trash removal deal and had small, medium, and large and sizes associated with these loads. My trash pile was not that big and I was able to load my car up with the leftover and dispose of it myself.

They were professional about the scheduled appointment and the whole time they were here. They worked quickly and completely removed everything. I think the cost was reasonable and would definitely hire them again.

I got to the store room about 10 minutes ahead of the appointed time and they were already there. I'd bought a half priced discount for a small load. Of course, they did up-sale, but they were very non-aggressive about it and in no way hassled me...just told me what more it would cost for a full load. As I looked at all the stuff in the store room and did the math on the monthly cost, of course I agreed to the full load. They left me alone to think, rather than pressure me. So they took everything I wanted them to take, did it quickly and did it cheerfully. They moved keeper stuff out of the way to get to the junk and then put the keeper items back. Nothing kept was broken or in any way damaged. They took a lot of weight off my shoulders. When they wrote up the bill, they credited my prepaid discounted purchase as though I had paid full price thus reducing the overall price from what it would have otherwise been. Very professional, very pleasant and very respectful. I would and will definitely use them again and would recommend them to family and friends.

Large pieces of concrete which was a part of a patio. Excellent job. Clean up was outstanding. Could not have gone better. They missed the estimate by almost half which is understandable as the rocks were in three piles and hard to estimate. Bottom Line very pleased.

They called when they were about 20 to 25 minutes away. Once they arrived they removed all of the items from the back yard and the deck. They then removed the old refrigerator I did want. They went through each room and removed the items that had been identified. This covered 6 rooms. They also swept up any debris on the floor. Once they finishe d they had my neice check each area to make sure it was completed satisfactorily. The three gentlemen were very professional, courteous and very hard working. I would definitely hire them again and recommend the Junk-King to others.

I had bought the Angie's Deal coupons (2 - $89 for 1/8 truck load) back in February which were good until mid-July. I first tried to contact the San Antonio office by email but after a couple of days of no response, I called and was scheduled immediately. The crew, Russell and Albert, arrived on time and were very friendly and informative. They explained to me that my two coupons combined would equate to 1/4 of the truck (which holds 18 cubic yards according to their ads) and gave me the option of loading my larger items first and filling in with small stuff or just starting to load the small stuff until I'd met my purchase quota. Being a single, senior citizen, I opted to have the larger stuff loaded first. They didn't have a direct route to move the old appliances out of the garage because of fencing that had been installed after their placement, but they worked and manuvered until it was accomplished. After the larger pieces were loaded, there didn't seem to be room for any small stuff. I was somewhat surprised since I have moved households in the back of pickups many times in my 60+ years, and could have packed a dryer, fridge, and twin bed mattress & foundation in one pickup bed, which is what the coupon equated to "1/8 load", and still had LOTS of rooms to fill in. And I was anticipating a quarter load, not just an eighth. Maybe my math is just fuzzy (I never did well in solid geometry !), but aside from being disappointed in the amount of stuff hauled away, I found Junk Kings to be VERY professional, friendly, punctual, and easy to deal with.

I purchased an $89 Big Deal back in January '13, and they contacted me via voice mail message very promptly to set up an appointment. But I let the info get lost on my desk til June. I emailed them and they responded right away and we set up the appointment at my convenience. They arrived as promised and I was just bit disappointed that the "deal" part covered a smaller percentage of my items than I expected, but I guess that's the going rate for this. But the representative was very conscientious about calculating the difference and was generally quite fair about things. He worked quickly and diligently in the heat, gathering the items we had collected and also took a couple other items we pointed out. He provided a receipt and the entire transaction was professional and quite satisfactory. Really my only minor complaint was that the deal covered such a small amount of material (roughly the equivalent of a single layer of stuff on a small pick up truck), that the final cost ($107 more than the original $89 deal paid in advance) was about twice what I anticipated. But that is not the company's fault I guess - it's the first time we have hired someone to haul items away and i guess I was just a bit naive about the expense involved.

The driver called about 20 minutes prior to their arrival to let me know they were on their way. They arrived on time and after reviewing the the work to be done the crew went right to work. Due to the amount of trash it took them about two hours to finish the job. The crew was very courteous and professional and cleaned up after them selves. I was very pleased with their work and would definitely hire them again.

The 2 guys that came to our home were great. They arrived within the scheduled time slot and even called to let me know they were on the way. I showed them the items that I would like removed and they told me what would fit in the space that I had purchased. It was nice being able to select which of my items I wanted them to take (per the space allotted) rather than them just loading things until the space was filled. They were fast and efficient. I would definitely use them again.

They came in on time and did what they said they would do.

We paid $89.00 for service. When they came and picked up our "junk" we had to pay an additional $40.00 as they said we were over what was sold in the Angie's List Deal. We did not want to argue so we just paid the additional fee. This was a somewhat misleading "deal".

Great, they worked fast.Took less than one hour.

The first day they stated the truck they had was almost full and stated they would need to reschedule after calling there office they explained that the $89 deal was for a certain amount of trash. It cost about another $80.

After we bought the coupon from Angie's List ($39), we scheduled with Junk King to pick up several items from our house on 2/23/13. They arrived on time and, as promised, picked up everything we wanted to get rid of from wherever the "junk" happened to be. We had a little more than the coupon was worth, but the extra was well worth the additional $47. The guys who came to pick up the items were very professional and fast. We will definitely use Junk King for any major hauling we have in the future.

So far it has gone very well and I expect to use their services in the near future.

The first time Junk King of San Antonio came the weather was bad and they had a full truck from the previous address so I told them that was fine to come on Monday. I think because I agreed to it it was fine. It was well worth the convenience of them doing that. Just to be aware 1/8 of a truck is a small amount, they have different truck sizes so depending on which one they're driving it makes a difference. But all in all I thought it was great and well worth the convenience of having somebody just come in and haul it off. I would use them again in the future.

They came at the time scheduled, were courteous and professional, picked up my junk from two spots, and left.

They were very courteous and worth using. What impressed me was that they were courteous on the phone and took no for an answer. They gratefully called me back to set me up, and then the driver called several times to tell me where he was. After getting the coupon, he called me; I did not have to call them. I told him that I was not ready and that I would call them when I was ready. We had a lot of telephone business before we finally got to the point where I was ready and they were ready. They were responsive. I thought they were very fair. I used the other competitor and it got to be $200 real quick. I am not sure they even have $200 worth of stuff that they hauled out for me.
