John and TJ are amazing!! They are wonderful electricians!! All of their work is absolutely perfect. They make no mistakes.

a friend on Angie's list recommended Jones Electric months ago. They are so nice and professional that I immediately called them when this new problem came up. they are also the reason I joined Angie's list. If this is the caliber of business recommended, I am on it. thank you.

This was actually the second time Mr. Jones and TJ came to our house. On the first visit, they diagnosed the loss of electrical power on our deck: squirrels had stripped the insulation off our wiring for nest material. They gave us the name of a carpenter they trust who could repair structural damage before they return to repair wiring. On this visit, they installed metal conduit to enclose the wiring to protect it from further squirrel damage.

They were very thorough, even taking photos of problems on the roof with a cell phone, so that I could see what was going on. He explained that squirrels had caused our problem, told me exactly what he thought needed to be done, and gave us the name of a carpenter he highly recommends to repair some damage. After the carpenter finishes his work, Mr. Jones will come back to repair the electrical problem.

He found and fixed the problem with efficiency. I recommend them.

TJ contacted me by phone early on the day of my appointment and asked if they could come early as they had an opening, which I wholeheartedly agreed to. He and his father, John Jones, arrived at the appointed time and began to check all the plugs in my house which I had advised I was concerned about as some were not working. It was found that some of the plugs were in good shape and were working properly; however, several of the plugs needed replacing due to age and use. They then gave me an estimate of the work and what it would entail. I agreed to the price (which was less than I had been anticipating) and began to do the work. They were very professional and cleaned up after themselves, moved furniture that needed to be moved while they were doing their work and then replaced it to where it had been. I was very impressed with the professionalism that they conducted doing their work and it was quite obvious that they are very well versed in the electrical field. This is the second or third time that I have used them for electrical and will continue to call on them if I have another problem....

It went very well as the Jones's spent extra time with me going over a number of related concerns and issues. They also saved me some money by making some excellent suggestions. Very friendly and professional. I would use them in the future.

They showed up when they said they would and did the work I asked for. They were professional and cleaned up after themselves. My dogs liked them (which I think goes to character). I have no complaints except that $1,000 for 4 hours work seems excessive to me. I didn't get any other quotes, so if $125/hour per person is the going rate for an electrician then I'm just behind the times.

It went well. TJ. called to let us know he was on the way and arrived shortly thereafter. He was an exceedingly polite young man, with a uniform shirt and an ID badge and he put on shoe covers before entering the house. He quickly replaced the doorbell and wall socket with new units which he had on his truck. He had to go out to pick up the smoke detectors and was back shortly and installed them. He checked everything out, and instructed me on the smoke detectors, and made sure that everything was done to my satisfaction. He then went out and got his little vacuum cleaner and picked up the dust and paint chips which had fallen from the ceiling during installation of the smoke detectors. I was more than satisfied with the service and the only issue for me was sticker shock. I don't mind paying a little more because I like to use local family owned services whenever I can but this was more than twice what I figured on. Without my Angie's list coupon, it would have been a thousand dollars. I will not call John Jones again if I have an electrical problem.

There are a lot of things that go into installing the generator. They gave great advice. I had to get a switch box installed with the generator. There are tons of wires and intricate pieces and switches. They worked very hard. Also wore booties to keep the house clean. It was an expensive service. However the quality of work was fantastic. They were here for 3 days on and off. They were polite, professional, friendly. They were a real joy to have here for the service. They were confident and knowledgable about the work they were doing. If I had any questions that I had they were very easy to talk to. I highly recommend for anyone for electrical services.

We were able to get in touch with someone on our first call and schedule an appointment. TJ was our electrician and you could not ask for a more knowledgeable, friendly and professional person. Little things like him wearing a badge with a photo id and wearing shoe covers every time he came in the house are what differentiate this company from most others. He handled everything quickly and efficiently and I could not have asked for a better experience since hiring an electrician can be scary and expensive. TJ even took care of removing a timer that was on our water heater when we bought our house and did it for no charge. This group is the real deal.

The owner and his son TJ showed up at the scheduled time. They were both very professional and completed the work in a timely manner. I highly recommend John Jones electric for any electrical needs you might have in Bexar county.

We called the company requesting a same day appointment - Peggy, who received our call was very supportive. She listened to my question and staffed my query with the owner, electrician John. Due to my query and an opening in their schedule, John was able to adjust his time and visit our home on the same day. (My family appreciated this because we have such busy schedules) When John stopped by, he was accompanied by TJ, who took the lead of evaluating and completing the job. Both John and TJ were very professional, attentive, polite and were able to fix our electrical issue. I just want to share with other families looking to attain electrical work -- Peggy, John, and TJ run a tight ship and they will provide support with top notch service. For me: I've added them to my primary home support contact list for any future home electrical issues. Mr. Jones didn't know that he would be supervising tile and bathtub refinishing crews when he came to my house, but this is the third major job we have had him do and when the need arose he filled in. My 82 year old mother was supervising that day, but didn't feel well. Mr. Jones sent her home to rest and he followed up with the other two crews. It's not the only reason that I automatically Mr. Jones for electric work, but it's a major one.

He was really reasonable and did it in only one afternoon. I thought he did a great job. He was very professional.

This company is busy so I had to book my appointment 2 weeks in advance. They came out on time and basically inspected everything electrical in the house and outbuildings. (We recently purchased this house and property; it is 35 years old.) Mr. Jones and his partner, his son, took my inspection report, read it thoroughly and went to work checking out everything mentioned. There were no GFCI plugs anywhere, so they installed those where needed. They also replaced a faulty 4 way switch. I was impressed that they did not automatically say I needed to do everything on the inspection report, but rather looked at everything mentioned, and then decided what was necessary and what was not. That saved me considerable money. The two men were there for almost 6 hours, and when they left, I felt like my older home, barn and RV shed were safe to use. They were probably not the cheapest, but I feel like the electrical system of my home is something worth every dollar spent on it, and electricians just cost alot. But I was paying for their knowledge and expertise, and I felt like I got my money's worth for sure!. These men were very polite, professional and very knowledgeable. I am one more of their very satisfied customers and will definitely use them again, as well as recommend them. Thank you for the outstanding service and excellent work!

Great service! All the lights and power in a section of my home went out. John and TJ were able to come out sooner than expected. They quickly identified an outlet with a loose connection, which had partially melted :( They were able to fix it with no problem. Awesome father and son team - very courteous and professional! I would definitely recommend!

They are very nice people who do good work. They are reasonably priced.

The work entailed rewiring and upgrading the circuit breaker. The job was done flawlessly without any glitches.

This has got to be the 10th time we have used John Jones Electric and we will continue to use them until the day they go out of business. These guys are the BEST electricians we have ever had the pleasure of hiring. Not only are they amazing at what they do, but they are professional, courteous, punctual, kind, friendly, and just class acts all the way around. Having knowledgeable electricians is very important when it comes to things getting done correctly to prevent any type of problem or fire, and John and TJ know what they are doing! We've never had a problem yet and again like I said we have used them at least 10 times now if not more.

Originally, I had called another electrician but got an answering service that required me to wait for a call back. John Jones Electric was second on my list. Peggy Jones answered the phone and was able to make an appointment for me after I described that I was a new homeowner who needed the electrical items on my home inspection report further investigated and fixed. She explained that the trip charge would be waived if after receiving the estimate from John and TJ, I decided to hire them to perform the job. Even with the inspection report emailed to them, they had to see it in person to give an estimate which I thought was prudent and fair. They came right on time and even brought their own shoe cover booties. They got to work looking at everything brought up in the inspection report, then wrote up their job cost, and did the job. I plan on hiring John Jones and TJ Jones for future electrical and lighting needs.

Apparently it wasnt too complicated. They had wired into the GFIs instead of running the wires as stated on the circuit box. So it was only a matter of tripping the GFI and fixing a ground wire. Very appreciative he didn't try to upsell or find other "issues" to charge more. That being said he was only there 30-40 minutes so I thought it was a little on the expensive side. But he was great and I'm always willing to pay a little more to someone I know I can trust to do the right thing.

If you want professional service at a reasonable price, these are your guys. It took about 10 days for them to get to us, but it was not an emergency. They arrived within the 1 hour period they promised and called to let us know they were on the way. They wore shoe covers in my home, which really impressed me. They got the work done quickly and properly. They were completely professional and a pleasure to deal with. They cleaned up after themselves, leaving no mess for me to pick up. The cost was more than I expected, but if I paid a premium for superior service, that is okay. They are worth the price considering the alternative of sloppy "professionals" I've dealt with. I do not hesitate to recommend John Jones.

This was a great experience from start to finish. The dispatcher was very responsive after our initial phone call to schedule an appointment. We received a courtesy call to inform us that the electricians were nearing our home. They arrived when expected, meeting us at the door with protective booties over their shoes! They were professional, friendly, and respectful of our home at all times. At the end of the job, they cleaned up with their own portable vacuum. They completed the work we called them about, but they also made necessary changes to keep our home in compliance of more recent code changes. My husband and I were both inspired to observe the mutual respect and professional collaboration demonstrated by this capable father/son team. We will not hesitate to call them the next time we need an electrician.

The job was well done, but too expensive.
