John Jones Electric

It is a small family run business, which I believe in. The electrician was the son of the man who owns the company. I received excellent service. He replaced the circuit in a timely manner and for a good price. He came right out when I called him. It was very easy to deal with the bill.

The company was very pleasant to deal with from start to finish, from the initial call to request the service to the completion of the work. The service call was made within a week, which we felt was very reasonable. In addition to hanging and wiring up the ceiling fan, the installer had to work in our attic on a blistering hot summer day to install a fan brace box. He also checked the house ground, which I had problems with in the past, and had fixed myself; it was good and here was no charge for that. He was very professional. He wore plastic booties and put down a tarp to keep our floors clean. He took away the trash. This company was very pleasant, competent, and professional. The cost was a little higher than we expected, and I almost gave this a "B". But given the hot attic work he had to do, as well as the quality of the work, the price really deserves an "A." This was a three-hour job.

We have had electrical system problems for a long time and had been told by another electrician that we needed a new breaker box, which is a significant cost. We planned to have the work done, but in the mean time we blew the outlet for the central air conditioner blower. Our central air was running off of an extension cord. We called John Jones Electric based on their Angie's List recommendations. John's wife, Peggy, answered the phone and returned my calls promptly. John was dependable and was on time for the appointment. He found that the cord for our central air unit was bad. He repaired the cord and the outlet. When he looked at the breaker box he replaced a breaker or two but said that the entire box did not need to be replaced. We we thrilled with the outcome and with John Jones Electric. We will definitely use them again.

Performed work skillfully,professionallyand neatly. Gave expert advise on the best lighting for areas based on our requirements and then supplied specifics on purchasing. I wish I had known about them when we first moved in!

John Jones and son arrived in time and completed the work in a very timely and professional manner. I had called this company previously during the latter part of 2008 to replace two track lights with four recessed lights and called again in May to replace the third track light with four more recessed lights. This company had also done some work for me lin 2008 by replacing a ceiling fan and heater in a bathroom and replacing an outside door light. Every time I used this company, the father or the son came to my house and gave me an estimate of the work to be performed. They came on the date and time we agreed upon to do the work and left the house clean after all was finished. My bathroom ceiling needed some sheet rocking and painting after the fan/heater was installed and they gave me the name of a contractor who finished the work. I am very happy with all the work.

I am satisfied with their service. They were accommodating and I would recommend them to others.

The light fixtures tripped the breaker and I was unable to reset it. I called John Jones the next morning. He and TJ came out the same afternoon and replaced my light fixtures with motion lights. Unfortunately, one of the motion lights was defective so they came out again and replaced it at no charge.

We moved into a custom built home about 3 months ago. Over Christmas, the exterior lights tripped the GFCI switch, and I couldn't figure out where the heck the reset switch was (turns out it was in an upstairs bathroom!). In addition, 2 interior outlets seemed to not work. In fact, half of each outlet was a slave to a light switch while the other half of each outlet was constitutively on. In essence, the electrician showed me how my house worked, that nothing was actually wrong. Fee paid for a service call to the home. The electrician was a kind and jovial young man.

The technician came out to give us an estimate on installing three ceiling fans. We live in an older house and the wiring was unusual enough that we did not feel comfortable doing the job ourselves. He checked out all of the outlets and installed the three fans. He was polite, efficient, and wore plastic booties to protect our floors. He gave us an honest upfront estimate on the recessed lighting as well. We definitely plan on using him for the next job we have.

Peggy returned my call on the same day (Tuesday) to let me know that she could send TJ out Wednesday morning. I had asked for Thursday but she couldn't guarantee that someone would be available and said I might have to wait until the next week. She assured me that she could send TJ early on Wednesday. The next day, TJ called to let me know that he was leaving the office and arrived just before 8am as promised. I showed him what needed to be done then left him to determine the cost. Called me with the charges which I approved and provided a credit card number in order to start the work. Took him less than 3 hours with no additional charges (thank goodness.) He was very pleasant, polite and professional.

TJ called before he left the office and arrived shortly thereafter. He came in and assessed the problem, quoted me a price and got to work. He finished quickly. He then checked in the attic to make sure recessed lighting could be installed, discussed his recommendation for installing them and gave me a price quote on that.

Fresh looking uniforms/friendly and professional/respectful of my home (wore shoe covers)/explained when they left my home. What they were going to do/answered all of my electrical questions with patience COMPLETELY CHARMING! They were the father and son team!

The father and son team were very professional, punctual, and friendly. I trusted them in my home while I was at work. They did a very high quality job.

Very well in simple terms, they were able to undo a web of do-it-yourself errors, and got my lights and outlets working.

I called John Jones Electric Co because my bedroom circuits started to trip whenever I used my new vacuum upstairs. I called and was able to get an appointment within about a week. The receptionist was polite and efficient. She worked with my busy schedule to come up with a time that worked for me. I was told that the technician would arrive at my home after 1:30 p.m. The tech called just after 1:30 and showed up at my house before 2:00. He wore booties to protect my carpet, which was a nice touch. He was very pleasant, courteous, and efficient. He diagnosed the problem, thoroughly explained why it happened, and gave me an invoice with the dispatch fee. I would definitely use John Jones Electric Co again. My overall impression was that the company is run by honest people and that the employees enjoy their jobs. One negative is that the receptionist did not mention the dispatch fee. I would have liked to know how much it cost before the tech arrived.

John Jones responded promptly when contacted, gave a written estimate for the work asked for, came when they said they would, were cooperative in adjusting requested tasks and reducing price accordingly when some job parts were out of my budget, and did a professional job of all the work performed.

We really liked them a lot. They told us exactly how much it was going to cost and they held to it. They came back the next day, on time and with everything they needed. The job was done in no time at all and I was very pleased.

Job was far more expensive than I thought, so I declined. However, service technician was extremely prompt and helpful. He wore plastic over his shoes to keep the house cleaner. Estimate also included military discount. I would definitely call them again.

I spoke to the company and made an appointment. They arrived on time and diagnosed the problems. He went right to work and had the job done in forty minutes. The price may have been high, but I felt I got what I paid for. He was excellent.

They were on time and efficient and they were very neat in their work. It was a man and his son and i would recommend them to others. If I need more work done I will be calling them.

I called on Sunday and the office called me back on Monday. I scheduled the electrician for Wednesday evening and he completed the work promptly.

I am really really happy with their billing procedure and the way they act with you, and call you right back. They care a lot for your property and don't do any damage to it and clean up after themselves beautifully. They really do a great job, I would recommend them to anyone.

It went very well. They came when they said that they would. I asked him to give me an estimate on another job while he was here and he did. He was very personable. He gave me some advise so that I could get more light in my kitchen.

Excellent! One of the best experiences I've ever had with a contractor. He worked long and hard to satisfy me and make everything perfect. Was able to meet my schedule on short notice. Worked from 9am to 8pm. Above and beyond the estimate, he also helped be unbox and install 110 pound audio amplifier, and did a minor repair on my exterior wood trim which had been broken previously. Bolted outlet box to stud for strength. Not cheap, but quality never is.

They were wonderful. Very knowledgeable, very punctual and professional. He was good, he was really ,really good. They put paper booties on his shoes to make things even cleaner, they cleaned up and vacuumed, they brought their own vacuum cleaners. They were awesome.
