Jacob and his helper arrived on time with the necessary materials (i supplied the edging but they installed) and completed the work in a quality and professional way. both had great attitudes.

Jake is a great guy with lots of ideas for your yard. We continue to use him for our normal routine lawn service, and may use him in the future for some more serious landscaping. Although he is very busy, he sometimes can run behind. But all in all, great service and professional in his work.

Initially Jake was very responsive. Then there were several conflicts that prevented him from meeting his original scheduled times, but he called to let me know of the changes. He mowed my lawn and sprayed for weeds and was going to get back with me with some plant prices and times to do other work and that was 3 weeks ago. I called and left a voicemail requesting an update and return phone call as to what his intentions were in returning. That was a week ago. Jake is a very nice man who may have just had more than he could handle at this time. However, his follow through with me was lacking in professional efficiency.

I had a whole lot of leaves in my front and backyard because of the red oak tree plus I have a fruit tree so it was $250 but it was comparable with what I had with ABC. He's well equipped and he's excellent. He's just really good at what he does.

Jacob has been d*** these services for me since October 2011, and I am always 100% satisfied with his work and what he charges. He and his helpers are very conscientious and willing to do the job as I wish it to be done. There have never been any problems, and his prices are fair also. Another thing I like about Jacob is that he will use organic methods to treat my yard, and I have had far better succes with that than when I was using chemicals. My neighbors have seen how well he has done over here, and they have hired him for some services as well.

The provider showed up and quoted exactly the tasks he could accomplish. He work over three days to get all the work I wanted done. Jacob installed a fence in my backyard which was made up of all concrete so it was very labor intensive. Jake also laid mulch and compost in the front and back yards. He also brick off my treess in the front to add some great landscping in that area. I was very please with the outcome and the two changes I requested were made without hesitation or additional costs. Also, Jake has done my lawn cuttting for two months now and there has been no problems. He even modified my fence into a gate without cost for my and his usage.

I have always been in agreement with him as to what he charges for the work that he does at each visit. He is also responsive - I asked him at one lawn-mowing visit to trim the bushes near my front door, and he did it right then and did a great job. I couldn't be happier

Jacob and his crew came out quickly and provided a quote, then did the job in one day. Our yard had become overgrown after my tractor stopped working. My hours had been crazy at work and the yard was suffering at all angles. He gave some great advice on tackling some of the tough areas for future and made short order of the work that had to be completed.

I am very impressed with the service they provided and the quality was excellent.

Jake and his son have been working very hard getting the yard back in shape, it looks awesome! He has replaced all the dead plants, manicured all the overgrown bushes, plants ,cactus, and trees. He has added some great spanish Daggers in old whiskey barrels, re graveled all of our pathways, and make some beautiful rock islands around a bunch of our trees. He has no problem getting huge rocks and adding them to the area. He always calls, and is great about communication. He comes up with great design ideas and his prices are very reasonable.

First time user of Angies List. List was friendly and was able through maps and comments to make a good decision as to what vendor to pick. Made call and set up job real easy. Establish a good price up front. Vendor polite. Solid good work. Left customer happy. Plan to use vendor again for same work and additional hedge trimming.

Very punctual, explained things well, very likeable, professional. Prices seemed reasonable.

I was very happy with them. He has been back three times and I just called up this morning to setup again. He was on time and gets here. He does his work. He also cleans up. They were on the Angie’s list and he was the only one who answered my call. I called some others but they did not answer my call. I just called him and within an hour he told me he was in Arizona but he would do me next week when he was back. He was very reasonable. He was a nice guy. I can send him to my mother’s house; he was that type of guy. The experience was good. I had to leave the house and he finished the work. He picked up my call on a vacation. One time he was late but he called me up.

I am hestiant to write a review of Jake's services because I fear it will be so glowing he will become too busy to help us. Jake is just simply the BEST!!!!!! He has helped us for about 8 years and we could nor maitain our house and yard without him. WE have an acre of land that Jake has help transform into an outdoor pardise. Jake is honest, professional, reliable, extremely hard worker, timely and always delivers beyond our expectations. Weither it belawn mowing, building a deck, or desiging and building a rock walkway Jake delivers. jake is simply the BEST!!! a grade of A is not high enough

Jake is a true professional. He enjoys his work and states if he didn't, he would not do it as it is hard work. He checked and double checked evertything they did to ensure it was as good a job as could be done. I will say out of all "Handyman" type jobs I've hired, he is by far the best. I got more for my money than I thought I would, so I definitely will use him again.

Jake, Casey and Al came to the house a day or two later and Jake gave me an estimate of $650. I asked him about the 10% senior discount. Al spoke up and said he would clean out the leaves in my pool instead of the discount so I said ok. On Thursday, April 5th, Al called and said he would be coming out to start on the work. He arrived around noon and completed the front yard. He came back on Friday around 10:30am and completed the back yard. He began to clean the leaves from the pool but didn't finish because I didn't have the right tools. When he was ready to give me the bill, I said I had the Angie's List coupon for $10. At first, he didn't want to accept it because he said he did extra work (I never asked him to do anything extra). Then, he said the $650 didn't include the tax. When I expressed surprise, he backed down and said he wouldn't charge the tax. He did finally accept the $10 coupon, but stated that this was really a $1200 job (which would have been over $100 an hour). Then, I asked him if he accepts credit and he said he couldn't that day because Jake had the credit card machine. He asked me to make out the check to him personally rather than to Jacob's Lawn Service which made me feel a little uneasy. Although the work was acceptable, I would not do business with this company again because of the lack of professionalism.

My back yard was COVERED with a forest of these monstrously tall weeds ... I call them milkweeds. Seemed to spring up practically overnight. I've never seen it so bad; I always have a few each spring, but nothing like this. Absolutely horrified. There was no way that I was going to be able to pull those monsters by myself. Found Jake Hansen on Angie's List and called him. I couldn't help but keep apologizing for the horrific state of my back yard, but he calmly reassured me that it wasn't just my yard! He promised that he would tackle the problem and get me "back online." First, he sprayed the forest and then treated for grubs to aid in the restoration of my St. Augustine's grass. He came back the next week and mowed, edged the front and back yards. Cleaned it right up. He came back the following week and shaped the tall hedges for me. Now, I can walk around my back yard! I'm going to call Jake when I need the lawns (Ha.) mowed this season. So far, so very good. Thank you, Jake!!

My husband called to schedule service because they were so highly rated on Angie's List. However, no one answered and he was unable to leave a message because the inbox was full. This company is losing business because they are not listening to, answering, and deleting messages.

Bob, was on time, was the only company from four that I called the returned my call, and it was within an hour. Scheduled an appointment quick. Well priced, great service and I highly recommend.

VERY SATISFIED. Hope to have him as a regular this summer.

What I ended up actually working with, on Angie’s List was, I was interested in someone who would do some specialized yard work for me, digging out some bushes that were over grown and weedy bushes that were taking over the area. I found through Angie’s List, Jacob’s Lawn Service and I was very happy with him. He took care of it and ended up doing some more bigger projects that came afterwards. It had gone beyond what we had originally contacted him for, which was cleaning out a difficult corner of my yard. It turned out to be landscaping that he had done. I am very delighted with him. He has done a tremendous work, way beyond the original reason I contacted him for. He was amazing. He was extremely caring and very reliable. He came when he said he was coming, which was a problem sometimes with lawn people. They won’t come when you necessarily wanted them to, because they were not willing to take on some of the projects you had for them. In Jacob’s situation the projects kind of grew and also the dealing with him. All kinds of things we had been wanting to do over the years, we suddenly decided to do because he was so easy to work with. He just rose, as he was doing all these other projects. I never hired him for lawn and yardwork but he did it and he did it very well. He noticed what was wrong with our yard, went out, got some corn mill, and killed the fungus that was killing my lawn and it was coming back great. I would definitely continue to use his services again in the future.

Since I am unable to mow my yard at present, I found Jacob Hansen trhough Angies's List and called him about my need. I got Jacob on the line each time I phoned, and he was most agreeable and came the week I requested him to come. He gave me what i consider a fair estimate to mow and trim my yard each week, and he will dispose of the clippings as I requested him to do. He agreed also to come each week on Friday, so that way I can plan yard treatments, watering etc. Since I am not very good at trimming, Jacob did a very good job of that.
