Description of Work: They started fixing a broken pipe four weeks ago and still haven't finished the job. They told me that it would be done in 7-10 days, but it has been over a month now and the job is still not done. I call the office to find out and they take my name and number and never call me back.

Description of Work: American Home Shield Insurance would not allow the repair of the A/C drain line under the plan. Immediate provided an estimate for repair of $2,450.00. I contacted another company for an estimate. Their estimate was for $1,015.00. |I liked what they proposed it was much better thought out then Immediate. I received a third estimate for repair of $129.00. It was simple and straight forward. The tech from Parker and Son actually got down on his belly and examined the problem before giving an estimate. He fixed it in about 15 minutes. He tested the repair by pouring a large amount of water down the drain line. He also blew out the drain line. The drain line has been holding just fine since July 7, 2015.

Plumbing: A. All drains passed city inspection. Jackhammering: B. They used my electricity. Refilling holes: F. Those two yayhoos were worthless. Their supervisor had to call me to make sure they showed up (which was at 5:00p and a new guy was doing all the work while those other two sat in the truck). Concrete: ?? I can't grade it until they do it. I'm on their schedule for May 14. This project began in early March. I'm scheduled for completion May 14. This experience has not endeared this company to me (nor me to them, I'm sure). I'll probably call someone else to run the gas line for my kitchen stove and maybe even someone else to install my dishwasher, depending.
Description of Work: The actual plumbing consisted of replacing the entire sewer out to the city main, repairing several leaks under the house, and replacing all lines with PVC. They jackhammered the filler from under the house for access to the leaky pipe where they found more leaks. They jackhammered a large portion of my patio for access to another leaky pipe. They used my electricity to power their equipment; I think I should receive some sort of discount for that. They sent two guys to shovel the piles of rip-wrap and dirt leftover from digging and jackhammering. They asked whether I wanted them to haul off the dirt or spread it around my yard; I requested it be spread. They shoveled three quarters of the rip-wrap and left for the day; said they'd be back the next day or the day after that; they never came back. I called the main office every week to remind them that I still had dirt piles in my yard and that they couldn't get the cement truck anywhere near the house to pipe in the new filler under the house. Concrete work still hasn't been done. There's a large chunk of my patio that needs replacing besides the filler underneath the house.

They were hired by the AHS warranty company to fix an issue with the water heater at a house we were buying. After their visit and "inspection" of water heater, they informed the seller's of the house that it was working properly. The day after we closed on the house we notice the water heater was not working properly. Since they incorrectly diagnosed the problem, the seller's were not willing to fix the water heater. I tried to have them correct the problem and gave them an opportunity to come back for a second look but they wanted to charge another service fee. I would not recommend them. I have since found another local company which fixed the issue and took the time to explain what the problem was all for less than their service fee of $60.00

But, did not Immediately respond to finishing the job. Had to keep calling them to see when they were going to fill in the big hole. They wouldn't return our phone calls.

The padding of the bill by this company is dishonest and unethical. Don't use this company
Description of Work: Hot Water Heater repair request. American Home Shield my home warranty company sent them out to evaluate and repair my 11 year old Hot Water Heater. I was scheduled to be seen in a four hour block 9 to 12, they barley made it to my house by 12:00 although I was the second person on the call out. After being asked not once but three times about the $60.00 call out fee the two repairman evaluated the problem and determined that the hot water heater needed to be replaced rather than repaired. AHS approved the replacement, and then told me that there were additional charges required, a $100.00 permit fee, a $ 120.00 drip pan for code compliance, and a $75.00 haul away fee. The 100.00 permit fee was/is not required because I live outside the city limits. The padding of the bill by this company is dishonest and unethical.

They were hilarious. They came out through the home warranty. I just paid the home warranty. My experience with them was not good. They did eventually solve the problem, but initially it took several days to get them out here. We were completely without water while we waited for them. They may not have known that it was an immediate situation. It could have been that the information didn’t get to them correctly from my home warranty people. Once they were out here, they fixed it and created another problem and then having to get them back out here took a couple more days. There was a second problem that they were supposed to look at from the beginning. There was a leak and I had a toilet that had a problem. The guy just didn’t seem like he wanted to fix it. He kept making excuses. He said that it was supposed to have a piece on it and he couldn’t diagnose it as the plastic piece was missing. This was a fabrication and I knew that there was nothing missing. It was a problem within the tank and nothing had gone. It did always look that way. When they had to come out to fix the second problem that he had caused, I insisted on a second technician. They send out another guy who fixed the problem right away. The problem was that the toilet was leaking from inside the tank which the first guy didn’t want to fix. I would not use them again in the future.

I had a leak in my restroom that i didn't discover until coming home after work about 6PM. I called Immediate Response expecting them to be closed but a real person answered and told me they could have a technician over within the hour. I was a little skeptical because it was a friday evening but they delivered...a truck pulled up to my house within the hour. The two men that came to fix the leak were very courteous and informative. They explained everything as they went, showed me where the leak was, what it would take to repair it and the cost.I gave them the ok to go ahead with the job. They brought out a carpet to place where they were working to protect my floor, they were wearing shoe covers the whole time and cleaned as they worked. I really couldn't believe how respectful these gentlemen were to my home. Once they were complete with the repair they tested everything and made sure that i was satisfied with the repair. They cleaned up their area and were on their way. I will definitely use them again and again. Thanks Immediate Response!!!!

they were the best solution to a terrible problem and fixed everything I asked and took great care of my property !!!!!!
Description of Work: I called IR plumbing on a sunday morning about 6:30 am, I was suprised to reach the owner of the company instead of an answering service. I explained my toilets were not draining and that there was sewage in the tub, He told me he would have someone at my home within 1 hour. About 45 mins later a service man arrived and augered out the drain pulling back a large ball of roots. I was very conserned about this happening again but he was able to open the main drain so it would flo. The next day I called them back to run a diagnostic test on the sewer. They ran a video camera down the pipe and found 2 large breaks in my sewer line. They suggested I have it replaced and I agreed. they had an excavation crew out at my home within 2 hours. They replaced about 65 ft. of sewer line and did a wonderful job. They cleaned my yard and raked out all the rocks and even planted the 2 bushes they needed to remove. The previous week my husband purchased a water softner we had it scheduled to be installed by a home depot contractor. I was so impressed with the knowledge of this company I canceled the water softner and had Imediate Response do it. I would highly recommend them they were professional, prompt, and very informative.

It was a Sunday morning and walked down my driveway to get my Sunday paper noticed water half way down my drive. I started looking around and found a very wet area in my front yard close to my water meter. I called the city water provider they sent a man out and he said it was on my side of the meter (meaning it was my responsibility). I am a senior citizen and get nervous when these type things happen so I called a friend who rferred me to Immediate Response Plumbing.I called and spoke to a very nice man he told me he would get a plumber out within the hour. Sure enough a plumbing service truck arrived at my home took a look at the leak and before starting the work gave me a price of $165.00. There were 2 men sent to my home they were polite, knew their job and had my leak repaired in about an hour. I cannot praise them enough for helping me out and now I have a plumber I can count on. Good job Immediate Response I will tell my friends about this service.

Overpriced, unresponsive and discourteous. Never again! Immediate Response was dispatched by American Home Shield, our home warranty company. Our tenants reported a leak that was outside of the home and, therefore, not covered by the home warranty. The technician called us to collect the service fee over the phone and said that he could dig a hole for an additional price, but gave no other details. We refused until we spoke with our tenants. There was no answer when we called Immediate Response, so we left a message. The receptionist called back later that day and said she would have the technician call and explain where he thought there was a leak in the yard. There was no return call from the technician. We called back the next day, and the receptionist said that she had pictures that she would e-mail. No pictures were e-mailed. We called back the following day, and the pictures were e-mailed but looked inconclusive. After talking with our tenant again, we agreed to pay Immediate Response the fee to dig the hole. Big mistake! We should have gone with an Angie?s List contractor. Immediate Response refused to give a ballpark estimate to repair the coupling at the PVC and copper junction until they dug a hole and we paid their fee. The technician dug the hole on the specified service date. We received a call from the main office and were given two estimates: one for having a 5-foot section of PVC replaced and another to have the entire 60-foot length of PVC from the meter to the house replaced. Both estimates were high. We then called an Angie?s List contractor for a same-day second opinion. When we told Immediate Response that we wouldn?t contract until we received the second opinion, they demanded immediate payment and told their technician to cover the hole, which did not leave the junction leak visible for the other plumbing company.

Response from Immediate Response Plumbing Inc
Immediate Response was first contacted by the Landlord’s Home Warranty company on Dec 14th to investigate a potential leak at the property. We responded to the service request on Dec 15th to find a leaking water line somewhere in the front yard outside of the foundation. We informed the tenant that anything outside the foundation is not covered by this policy and that we would have to contact the landlord. We tried to reach the landlord on Dec 15th but no one answered. We asked the tenant to have the landlord call us should they happened to speak to them before we had a chance to. The landlord responded on Dec 16th at which time they indicated this problem had happened before. Photos of the general area were requested and sent on the same day. Furthermore, we explained that the home warranty call turned into a “do not collect” service fee and that our quote to excavate the area to examine the leak would be $125. Again, the landlord indicated that this was a reoccurring problem and that they knew the pipe was buried 3ft deep. The landlord instructed us to coordinate with the tenant to schedule a time to visit, excavate and examine this leak to determine an appropriate long term solution for this problem. Due to the holidays the tenant was unable to allow us to perform this work until Jan 10th at which time we sent our crew out. Once excavated, we found a low quality temporary fix from the previous leak. Photographs were taken of the problem area. We proposed that in order to properly fix this problem, we would need to replace a 6’ section of the water line that would require us to excavate an additional 5’ of ground and additional material. Our quoted price to complete this work to the landlord was a total of $595 of which we would apply the already agreed upon $125 initial fee for excavating the area. This would be an additional $470 to complete the proper repair and that it would come with a 10 year warranty. Landlord asked if they could call us back in 30 minutes at which time we left our service technicians on site awaiting their response. Upon calling us back, the landlord said they would like to seek a second opinion from another company. We had no problem with them seeking out a second opinion, however our technicians had to go to their next service call. From a liability stand point, we could not leave exposed holes or trenches on a property or we would be held liable should an accident occur while we are not there. We instructed the technicians to backfill the hole and proceed to next call. The landlord also requested copies of the photos on Jan 10th which we sent the following business morning. In summary, all that was collected was the original $125 agreed upon, not the $185 stated in the original report and the customer went with another company. Also, coverage under the landlord’s warranty policy was properly explained and a high quality solution was proposed. In response to the customer’s responses at the end of the report: 1. We feel that we were right on with our estimate and price. We also feel that the $125 collected over 2 trips and proper diagnosis of the problem is a fair market value. 2. We feel we responded promptly and provided a fair estimate for the work we proposed to perform. 3. The covering of the hole is something that we have to do in order to keep our company from being liable for accidents 4. $125 is not an unreasonable amount for the work completed nor is the $595 total for the proper repair.

Requested they evaluate and fix a leak under kitchen sink. They found the garbage disposal was not working properly and was causing the leak, and they replaced it for $285.00. The leak, however, recurred within the next couple of days and again they were called to fix this. It was fixed and to my surprise, I was charged $165.00 for fixing the leak. Just two months later, the garbage disposal they had just installed stopped working, and when I contacted them to repair what they had just recently installed, I was informed that there wasn't a warrantly to cover this since it was almost 2 months ago and I would be charged full price. In conclusion, the quality of their work is very poor, and they are overpriced.

Saturday night, I contacted American Home Sheild about a plumbing problem. I thought there had been a broken line and that dirt was being brought into my piping, because there was a brown, grainy material coming out of my shower, toilets, and faucets. This happened at approximately 1:00 a.m. Sunday morning. A gentleman from your company contacted me at approximately 10:15 a.m. Sunday morning, stating that a repairman would be at my home between by 2:00 p.m. He told me that my water softener resin tank had burst. At approximately 3:15 p.m., I contacted the gentleman who told me that there were two calls ahead of mine but the servicemen would be out at approximately 5:30 p.m. A few minutes later, I contacted the gentleman and suggested that it would probably be helpful to him and okay with me if your servicemen delayed coming to my home until Monday morning. He thanked me and told me that his servicemen could come out first thing Monday morning. At approximately 7:45--8:00 a.m., Richard and Dimitri arrived. Richard worked at my home (in the garage) for approximately 1 1/2 --2 hours, but then he left. Before he left, I asked him to give me a cost for the repairs to my home. He told me I needed a new water heater and mentioned several other items, including flushing the lines downstairs and, if needed, upstairs. The price he quoted to me was $2280.00. A short time after Richard quoted a price for the job, he left, leaving Dimitri behind, digging to place a pressure valve regulator. When he finished working on that, Dimitri found himself waiting for 3 1/2--4 hours for Richard. Richard had left him no tools, no means of transportation, nothing. Richard returned. Eventually, when the work was finished on the downstairs plumbing, Richard asked Dimitri about the water lines upstairs. Dimitri told him that some faucets were running while others were not. I found out that the ones that were not had been clogged by the resin sediment and, after rinsing out the aerator, the faucets worked well. Apparently, for each of my sinks, the charge per "flushing" was $60.00. Richard, who had replaced the water mechanism in both toilets downstairs, did the same upstairs. He also cleaned out the aerators on the faucets. For this, I he charged me an additional $600+. Instead of the original quote of $2280.00, my bill ballooned to $2925.00. PS: When I spoke with the business manager today, she seemed surprised that Dimitri had been forced to wait in my garage for 3 1/2--4 hours, but assured me I had not been charged for his time or Richard's time during Richard's absence. Of course, the invoice does not include detail about labor charges. While my wife and I were taken to the cleaners on this, it is my hope that others will avoid the same. Realtors and property managers should also be aware that this company is probably treating them similarly

Don't call Immediate Response unless you like being taken advantage of. Don't waste your money on a home warranty; even if the seller pays for it, it's a big waste of money & time.
Description of Work: These people were sent by my sorry excuse for a Home Warranty "First American"; I had called about a stopped drain. They supposedly cleared the stoppage but stated the shower pan was leaking and I needed a new one. I stupidly allowed them to tear out the floor of my shower. They dumped the mess in front of my house. I then found out by checking with other contractors that I could have the shower pan replaced, the entire shower retiled for less that half of what Immediate Response was going to charge me. I called them & cancelled the rest of the work. They wanted to collect the rest of the money, but I refused to pay it since all they had done took less than 2 hours, and they left a big mess. After having the entire shower redone by a reliable person, I then found out that the blockage in fact had not been cleared at all! Immediate Response is a disgrace to plumbers everywhere. I would also like to add that you can never trust a service provider sent to you by a Home Warranty Company!!!

This company was sent out by my homeowners warranty company. I stupidly had them do the work (which was not covered by the warranty) without getting other estimates, assuming that they would be a reputable business. I later found out from 2 other licensed plumbers that I was charged 2 to 3 times what I should have been. Also, after they replaced the flange the toilet kept running and I had to call them out again to fix that problem.

(JOB 1) Santiago and helper were quick and courteous, and cleaned up work area before departing. Price seemed high for kitchen faucet work, but Santiago insisted it was fair price. They provided materials except for faucet, and worked for 30-45 minutes. (JOB 2) Steve P seemed knowledgeable, was very professional in attitude and conduct. Haven't yet verified diagnoses. Cleared stoppage quickly, seemed thorough. Did not leave a message. The home warranty company refunded the $5 overage on $55 charge that should have been a $50 service call.
Description of Work: (JOB 1) PRICE 315.00. $50 service call from home warranty company. 3 bathroom lavatories were not flowing. Quickly determined that aerators were clogged with sediment. First the warranty company does not cover faucets. I replaced aerators, and all is fine. $265 to repair leak under kitchen sink by replacing two angle stops and supply lines, and to replace a customer provided faucet at the kitchen sink to stop a leak at the base of the faucet that could not be corrected by a cartridge replacement. 90 day warranty on angle stops and supply lines ONLY. No senior discount. (JOB 2) PRICE 55.00. Determined toilet stoppage/overflow was due to calcification in toilet drain. Examined 2nd toilet and recommended it's replacement before a stoppage occurred.

Service technician continually pushed to have additional work done. When he cleared the line and showed me the video, he said that I needed to have the line replaced immediately. Encouraged me not to wait and assured me that it could be completed that afternoon with service fully restored. Job was not completed and sewer line was left open. Workers gave no assurance anyone would return on Sunday to finish job. Called them twice Sunday morning to get status of work and commented on recording the I was considering canceling credit card payment if no one returned my call or showed up to finish the work. Owner finally called me back late morning and told me he didn't appreciate my "threatening" calls and didn't need my business. Then said he was rescheduling five other service calls just to get my work done. Sewer line was finally reconnected late in afternoon. Took 3 days to refill trench and I have yet to receive promised work statement that I can use to seek insurance reimbursement.
Description of Work: Called to unclog sewer line on Saturday 10/14/06. Ran rooter through outside trap and pulled out numerous tree roots. Cost for that work was $125. Suggested video probe of line for additional $175 which I agreed to. (Later saw yellow page ad saying they offer the video inspection free.) Pointed out what appeared to be additional cracks and roots in sewer line to street. Urged me to have line replaced immediately for additional fee of $3250. Company required immediate 50% payment and final 50% when sewer service was restored but before trench was backfilled. I agreed to work but it took 24 hrs to repair and reconnect line (Sunday afternoon). City inspected on Tuesday morning but trench was not refilled until Thursday afternoon.

This work only took plumber -30 minutes or so. I really feel stupid, as I know I could have bought a much more attractive faucet at Home Depot, as well as checked things out more thoroughly. I'm really glad Angie's List is available, and will definitely refer to in the future.
Description of Work: After just purchasing my home, I discovered the faucet in my bathroom was leaking. I was unable to even turn off the water supply under the sink, (probably due to age of equipment). This is why I didn't get more quotes. Immediate Response Plumbing replaced this faucet with a very basic faucet as well as replacing 2 PVC pieces (H/C angle stops)

It did not fix the drain, and it overflowed again within an hour. I called him back (owner), and he informed me there was no guarantee and to look at the service agreement I signed. It was signed after the work. Also, they advertise 10% discount for seniors. I had to remind him of this, and he refigured the bill, but still did not grant the full discount. It was a BAD EXPERIENCE ALL THE WAY AROUND FOR US. We called another company to come out, and it was repaired just fine. We would never call Immediate Service again. The owner was rude, insulting, and insisted he had great plumbing knowledge.
Description of Work: They ran a small rooter device down the drain of the washing machine and said that should fix the drain.

THE SERVICE TECHNICIANS WERE VERY KIND, HARD WORKING AND I AM VERY PLEASED WITH THE EFFICIENCY OF THE NEW UNIT. WE NEVER RUN OUT OF HOT WATER ANYMORE.
Description of Work: MY 12 YEAR OLD WATER HEATER CRACKED DUE TO SEDIMENT ACCUMULATION. THIS COMPANY WAS SENT BY MY HOME WARRANTY COMPANY TO SERVICE THE UNIT, WHICH ULTIMATELY THEY DID NOT COVER. I BOUGHT A NEW 40 GALLON GAS WATER HEATER.
