Didn't get past the first call. I understood my slot for a plumber to work was from 10 to 2. I confirmed this. Day of, They call at 130 to tell me someone will be here in 30 minutes. I was confused and this "manager" complained to me how hard it was to reschedule and became very combative. Canceled with them and thankfully AMBITION PLUMBING & DRAIN SERVICES (210) 904-5209 Got back with in 5 minutes of this call and set CORRECT expectations.

Do not use this company. They do shoddy work and are very slow to follow up on work orders. The faucet they repaired less than 30 days ago is already not working. When I called them, the dispatcher, named Amanda who 'claimed' to be the manager was rude and condescending. When I advised her they did a bad job, she replied, 'that's fine.' Very unprofessional.

This is the second time I have used this company. I never write reviews, but after seeing the reviews above I had to weigh in. I have had a wonderful experience with this company. They have been very prompt in coming out, identifying my plumbing problems, and fixing the problem efficiently and competently. This last time I had water dripping into my garage and thought it was a plumbing leak. They took their time and really looked at every possible source for the leak. It turns out I did not have a plumbing issue but a roof issue. They were able to guid me in the right direction to get my problem resolved. They were very thorough and did not even charge me since they were right down the street when I called. I cannot say enough for this family owned business that had repeatedly been there for me. I highly recommend them and am sorry if anyone happened to have an isolated negative experience.

Had the misfortune of working with them via American Home Shield. Not only did it take forever to get an appointment both times that we did, but when they finally replaced the broken kitchen faucet, with a lesser model, needlessly removing the hose that was attached, they didn't tighten the mounts to the sink that they had loosened for the installation properly. We didn't know this, and four days later the caulking that was somehow still holding the sink up broke/tore and the sink started dipping in the middle and leaking water everywhere. We're now replacing the entire sink and the garbage faucet they installed. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!

Company was sent out by our Home Warranty provider to repair plumbing leak. Upon arrival, plumbers cut multiple holes in walls but were unable to locate leak, so they decided it was an in-slab leak. I was given a price of between $550-$950 to "pinpoint and isolate" the leak, and a verbal quote for an additional $2,700 (approximately) to repair the leak once pinpointed and isolated, and their other technicians were schedule to come back to complete the "pinpoint and isolate". When the next batch of technicians arrived, they determined that in order for home warranty to cover the "pinpoint and isolate", the entire repair would have to be paid upon completion, for which I needed times to raise funds. They would only do the "pinpoint and isolate" (without repairs) if I paid the $550-$950 out of pocket. Since I still needed to raise funds, they left. The next day I had another plumbing company come out to give me quote for "pinpoint and isolate". The second company quickly determined that not only was there NO in-slab leak, they actually found the in-wall leak 6 inches from one of the holes cut into wall by Immediate Response Plumbing. It is my belief that Immediate Response Plumbing would have gladly taken my money to "pinpoint and isolate" the supposed in-slab leak AND the repairs for same, and I would have still had the original in-wall leak. I do NOT recommend this company.

I am usually quick to praise companies that provide great service and do not like to respond negatively. I could not let this go by without commenting. In June 2017 I contacted American Home Shield regarding a a water heater that was not working. They sent out their contractor Immediate Response Plumbing to replace the unit. September 2018 I had to replace an AC unit in the same house. (AHS would not cover being "pro-active" and replacing unit before it went out-have since cancelled AHS!) Plumbers replaced the water heater but used the old corroded connectors and never mentioned the drip pan that obviously should have been replaced at the same time? My AC company provided the attached pictures of the damaged pan. Called AHS and they offered to send THE SAME PLUMBERS out (for a fee) to replace the pan. Thank you - but no thank you! Had my AC company back out and they did a great job but it cost me an additional $1835.00 to have the unit drained, new connections added, electrical outlet replaced (old was not up to code) and a new pan installed. Very disappointing.

I made an appointment for Tuesday morning. They said they would call 30 minutes before sending someone out. I missed the call because I was in the shower and called them back 10 minutes later. They said the plumber had already moved out of my area and I would have to reschedule for that afternoon! I had to completely re-arrange my day because of 10 minutes, and they never told me in the first place that I had to answer the call to have the guy come out! The receptionist on the phone was incredibly rude as well. The entire thing was an abysmal experience. The work was completed, but quite frankly I will never do business with them again

The plumbers that came to the house were very nice, the problem is the office manager! Over the course of a month I was trying to get my tankless hot water heater repaired. Part of the time issue was working around the constraints of the home warrantee contract. However, Immediate Response only has one person that works on tankless hot water heaters. After the first visit, it stopped working again and the plumber came out and said it was blowing the breaker and I should get an electrician out to look at the circuit, which I did, and the electrician said it was fine. The plumber returned days later and this time decided it was a bad heating element. He called the company and they didn't make parts for that brand anymore. The home warrantee company called me and asked if I would like to replace it or take a cash buy out, I opted for the buy out. Unfortunately, Immediate Response was my only choice to do the replacement, and instead of ordering a highly rated locally available tankless hot water heater, they placed an order through a company that took several days to send a more expensive lower rated unit. There is clearly a disconnect between the plumber and the awful office staff. The plumber comes and says nothing has been ordered, which my home warrantee company confirmed, but the office manager said they were wrong and the order was confirmed to be in that day or the next and refused to book the plumber to come out... three days later she confirmed the items were received, but then we had to wait through the weekend to get the repairs done. I pleaded with the office manager to schedule the plumber to come out as soon as possible, and that I would be available at a moments notice because I had a houseful of guests coming for the holidays. She suggested that maybe I should have taken the buy out and done it myself. To date, I still do not have a fully functional water heater.

The plumber came out and determined that the sewer line was clogged, not the toilet. He ran a probe down the line and stated that the line is clogged with roots and the pipe was broken. The pipe was supposedly broken under the foundation slab, near the edge. The plumber gave an estimate of $12,000. He stated he would send all the details to us the next day, which he did not, even after two days. Two days later, we called the company and they stated that they will not provide an estimate unless I commit to them doing the work. I stated I needed several written estimates for a bank loan. They refused, unless I was willing to sign a contract.

ON SEPTEMBER 14-15, 2016, Immediate Response was contracted by American Home Shield to come out and repair a wall leak at our residence. They dispatched a journeyman plumber that commenced cutting through sheet rock on the outer walls (living room) of our half-bath. Which was done because there was a wood panel inside the half bath. Only then did they inform us that to get to the leak we would have to pay them an additional $100 to have them cut through the wood. Which if they would have informed us initially about the wood panel entry and the charge (and not cut a holes on the outside of the bathroom ), we would have promptly removed the wood panel rather then cut holes in our living room walls. While we were removing the wood panel they decided to depart asking us for payment and to reschedule for tomorrow. On the way out they checked our water pressure and listed the measurement on the invoice and tried to sell us on replacing the water pressure regulator (Cost - $550) because our pressure reading was 114psi. When they returned the following day they again checked the water pressure and continued to sell us on replacing the regulator. He then informed AHS that the leak was due to a failed regulator! The leak was less then a centimeters from a 90 degree joint that had wear on the bottom of the pipe as it sits on wood and a metal protective plate. Because of the journeyman plumber guess as to why the pipe failed AHS denied our claim. Contacted the Owner only to be be-littled and hung-up on. Multiple Issues with this company. *Inexperienced and untrustworthy plumbers *They give a diagnoses based on up selling and not true and valid findings. *Owner is not willing to take constructive criticism, combative and very unprofessional. Refuses to believe there is an issue and thinks the customer is only trying to screw him out of money, which seems to be the other way around. * Fair Market Price to replace regulator $250. Immediate Responses was $550. Consumer Warning - went through a second opinion process and convinced American Home Shield to agree to cover repairs. Stay away from Immediate Response Plumbing! They will take a relatively easy repair and create a full blow costly mess. As well, they will try to take you for every possible dollar through false diagnosis and misrepresentations. If they are your only option, make sure that you get them to tell you everything upfront because if you end up with an issues the owner will not be of any help to you. He will say whatever he can to justify the actions of his plumbers and stick you with the bill. BUYER BEWARE!

Called American Home Shield for a plumbing stoppage in my garage apartment. They sent Immediate Response Plumbing. The plumbers could not find a clean out for the garage building. They then went to the clean out for the main house over 40 feet from the garage apartment. They put a camera in that line and said we had roots growing in the line going to the sewer at the street. That was the opposite direction from the garage. They said that hydrojetting the line would clear the problem at that garage. After nearly $600 in hydrojetting cost plus the $75 AHS fee, nothing was fixed. I feel like we were the victim of a bait and switch. AHS needs to find another plumber.

We had water coming out from under the toilet when we used the bathtub in our guest bathroom. Since we use American Home Shield for our home warranty, I called for service, not having any idea what the problem was. I was contacted fairly quickly by Immediate Response, and they set an appointment for the next day, which was a Sunday. That made me happy. When the team of two arrived right on time, I told them about the problem. They wanted to see where the septic tank and clean outs were. (We have two septic tanks, and I knew which one was the tank for this portion of the property). They opened the clean out lid, and found that it was not draining properly. They went to get an auger. I was in my studio, which is 20 feet from where they were working. After they said they augered, they came and told me that the septic line was broken due to roots invading it. That puzzled me because the nearest tree was 40 or so feet from the line, which had a path that was about 5 feet long until it dumped to the septic, and past the tank was where that tree was, but I figured they would know more than I. They asked me if, for an additional $175, I wanted to run the camera down so we could see the break. I decided that was a good idea, knowing the fix could be costly, and perhaps they really were not sure, so I agreed. They went to get the camera equipment, and I told my wife what was going on. They were finished with in just minutes, and were back in front where I was conversing with my wife. They said indeed we had a break, and it would take digging up 6 feet of pipe, and replacing it, and that the work would be warranteed for a year. They said it would cost $2300, and they could start in the morning, no one had to be home. Did we want a bid/contract filled out? We said ok. They went off to the truck to get paperwork going. While they were out there, I began writing out the check for the $175 plus $75 service call, as that bill had already been presented. But then I realized I had not seen the camera footage, and I really knew nothing about this company, let alone septic systems in general. So I darted inside, pulled up my trusted Angie's List, and was less than thrilled by what I read from others who had posted. When the guy who made out the deal came back, I asked it I could please see the camera footage. THEN he said that they couldn't see, because the clean out drain was full. Now I may not be knowledgable about septic systems, but even I could see the drain was full, so is this why they had completed the filming so quickly? Immediately I knew something stank, something other than my septic. So when he presented me with the bid/contract to sign, I said I would have to sleep on it. At this point, I already felt ripped off. The next day I contact a friend of a friend who knew a lot about plumbing and septic, and out of the kindness of his heart, he advised me to call the septic company who had pumped my main tank a few months earlier. He said that was the best place to start off, by eliminating potential problems with a smaller bill first. I called them, and they came, pumped this auxiliary tank and said I had a blockage at the T where the clean out went into the tank, 2 feet in. By the way, NOT roots. $300, cleaned tank, blockage gone, and no more problems. I really think the first company was trying to take me, and shame on them. And as an aside, it might be a good idea to send employees who don't continually gag while working on your septic. It makes the whole situation so much more awkward.
Description of Work: Looked into one of the septic clean outs, and supposedly augered it. Supposedly sent down a camera.

We use American Home Shield warranty for our home, and called them to fix our broken insinkerator water dispenser. The plumbers arrived on time, but from the start they did not present a professional manner. They were sullen and non-communicative. The absolute worst was that there was one person here, and then while we were talking to him in the kitchen, a second person walked in without knocking or even giving any sort of greeting. Although the home warranty clearly states that all parts and repairs are covered, they said that since the part was "missing," the repair was denied. They offered to install a new unit for $570, but they would not do anything with the existing unit. We felt we were being scammed, so told them we were not interested.
Description of Work: We called them out to fix a hot water dispenser at our kitchen sink. Some time ago, the lever for dispensing water broke off at the base. I had tried to reattach it myself, but as the metal had broken, there was no way it could be done. As we knew it could not be reattached, it was thrown away. The workers looked at the unit and said they don't replace missing parts.

They inspected the drain and told us that we had a broken pipe due to roots. They did not give us visual evidence of the root or broken pipe, and said that because it was due to roots it wouldn't be covered by the warranty. We decided to get a second opinion and called out another company on our own to do a video down the line. We stayed with this plumber throughout the entire time, and he showed us in the camera that the pipe was in fact not broken, but bent with no cracks or holes, so there was no possible way roots could have gotten in. Never doing business with this lieing, cheating company again.

see above comments. Basically paid $75 for nothing, He did not say bye, have a nice day, nothing only that If i have another problem in 30 days with the same issue I won't have to pay a service call.
Description of Work: The contractors were contacted by AHS to do work for us since the tub had a back up and the toilets were not draining quickly enough. Prior to the getting to the house I cleaned out the tub when the water receded and plunged the toilets. They came out and literally flushed 2 of the 3 toilets ran water in the tub and looked in the clean out while asking me to flush the toilets. They came in and said they didn't see any problems and they could call to get approval to put a camera in the clean out which AHS denied since they told them there was no issues at this time. I requested that they snake the toilets but he refused stating there was not a problem and no reason to do that. That the issue was probably paper that was gone after I plunged it. After repeated request to snake the toilet he refused and stated that he would look at the tub. He did find hair in the sink drain and removed it. But everything that was done could have been done without the plumber.

They gave me a sound estimate, showed up on time, did everything I asked and more, and it was all done correctly and quickly. I asked Immediate Response back to do this work because they had done four other plumbing repairs for me through American Home Shield. Although I did not select them, they again showed up for every job exactly when they promised, quickly assessed and corrected the various problems, kept me fully informed through the entire process, and were extremely professional and considerate of my needs. Problems ranged from a broken drain pipe that was causing damage in my kitchen, to a leaky drain in my wet bar. I was so happy, they were the only ones I considered to address my punch list in preparation for selling my home.
Description of Work: Made a variety of repairs required by home buyer prior to selling my home. Included putting new siphon proof valves on my outside faucets, clearing slow drains, fixing a toilet that didn't flush properly, and replacing fixtures in the sink and tub of my bathroom.

This company was contacted to work on our hot water heater by via American Home Shield. However, they refused to accommodate the fact that neither myself nor my wife would be able to take off work so quickly to sit at home for a 4 HOUR window. The person on the phone was extraordinarily rude and had limited knowledge of liability laws and policies. She acted as though I was bothering her despite the fact that we are the ones without hot water. She claimed that requiring someone to be at the house was an AHS policy which it is not. We've had other workers at the house when we aren't at home. As long as they are bonded then it's not a problem. Apparently, they don't trust their own employees. I initially scheduled an appointment but was concerned that we would receive less than adequate service as retaliation.

The Technicians came to my house and said they could repair my electric water heater again. However, I had it repaired before and I said please just replace it. I was shocked at the price they gave me. They told me they were having a special on water heater replacement. So not only are they an HONEST COMPANY but very efficient. They had different types of water heaters and other items in their truck. I was real impressed by how organized this company is. I didn't have to wait for another day to have my water heater replaced. Way To Go Immediate Response Plumbing. You are and will always be my number one San Antonio Plumber! This is not the type of company you should welcome into your home. There sales technique is fear. Elderly people and single women beware of their tactics. I knew precisely what the issue with my water heater was prior to there arrival. I had slow delivery of hot water due to lime build up. upon their inspection it was determined that it was leaking and dangerous in addition to the lime. I was told not to plug it back in. Of course they were prepared to save me from danger "right now" for about a $1000. They could not produce evidence of a leak but assured me that it was leaking...and DANGEROUS! Before telling them to leave I inquired about other stunts I had read about on Angies List ...no response was forth coming. Needless to say...water heater is not leaking...and will be repaired next week by a different vendor.

You suck and I would not recommend you to my worst enemy.
Description of Work: American Home Shield sent them out for a sink stoppage. Before they even examined the kitchen sink stoppage they stated that the garbage disposal was leaking and needed to be replaced. They replaced it, even though we had never seen any leakage. Within 5 minutes of running the auger they determined that we had a collapsed pipe in the foundation caused by tree roots. American Home Shield does not cover this and Immediate Response quoted $4,000 to fix it. The next week I called the office to schedule the work and they stated that they determined there was a major defect, but without running the camera they could not determine if it was collapsed or if it was by tree roots. They had already told the home warranty it was tree roots, but they stated that could not be determined without running the camera. I told them to come run the camera, and they would have to call me back. This went on for a week, before we called out another company to do the work, and they said it was not tree roots. They stated it was a 45 year old cast iron pipe that had deteriorated and needed to be fixed. Now I'm fighting with my home warranty to get this fixed. They can't trust our plumber, so they are sending out another plumbing company to determine the problem. We have been without a kitchen sink for two weeks and we have not dishwasher. This is a major pain.
