Good Electric

They charged me quite a bit more than that $99. I am going to say maybe another $200 or so. And all they were going to do is that, take down the old ceiling fans and put new ceiling fans up there. That is all they were supposed to do so I thought that was a little bit on the high side. The experience was okay, it is just the price was more than I had thought it would be. I would suggest, better price expectation and not in the sense that low balling somebody, but it just didn't sound like... at least to me, that it was that big of a job, that it would be another $200 on top of the Big Deal. The pricing was the one that I had problems with. I did not have a problem with the quality. They were pretty responsive. I would ask a lot of questions before I use them. I want to have better expectation of price instead of...if I were to use them I would ask them a lot of questions next time.

Electrician was very nice, clean cut and prompt. What I didn't like is that when the electrician got here the first thing out of his mouth was that there is a $200.00 diagnostic fee. Wait, what? were my thoughts . It doesn't say that on the deal you purchase the deal for $99.00 for $ 198.00 worth of electrical services. Even though he did a good job, I feel I was scammed, the company or Angie list should make sure the customer knows this when purchasing.

The electrician, Rafael, arrived on time. He was professionally dressed and carried booties to protect our wood flooring. He quickly grasped the issue and set about troubleshooting. Rafael traced the entire circuit including crawling through the attic. He was able to discover where the problem was and quickly repaired the circuit. Best of all, he kept me informed of his progress and fully explained what he had done. Rafael was very pleasant and I would recommend him and Good Electric. Their price was very fair and the receptionist was very pleasant. Others that I called first went to voicemail which is very frustrating. Wonderful experience.

This is the second time I have hired Good Electric LTD, and requested their technician named Ronny, for work on my electric system. They promptly scheduled Ronny and he arrived on time after giving me an advanced call to let me know when he would get here. Once again his work was outstanding. He is fast, efficient, careful, and expertly skilled in his approach to electrical systems. He is meticulous in the details of inspecting, evaluating and repairing electrical equipment and systems. Exercising extremely careful, safe and disciplined approaches, he gets the job done without wasted motion and he leaves the work site neat and clean. I will definitely request him for future jobs.

It went good. They arrived during the timeframe they communicated to me. They provided a written estimate for the work I requested and explained how the special package amount applied and what the additional cost would be for the work. There were 2 electricians and they finished up the work quickly and kept my house spotless.

Terry showed up on time with a smile on his face. He took the time to listen to my request and then went over the home to look at what I was asking for. He then gave me a straight quote. Once I went over it and approved it he went straight to work. Once he was finished he explained everything he did and made sure the work was to my satisfaction. He checked all outlets, removed 3 outlets in my kitchen which were not the right type and installed the correct ones, and secured a loose wire under my sink. I will be using them in the future as he was professional, polite, listened to me and the quote he gave me was the price I paid.

It was installed as per my expectations and the installer answered all of my questions.

He was very nice. Seemed to be very knowledgeable in his field. Even gave me some personal advice on my wood staircase. :-)

good electric was excellent to work with. i called after i had a gas cooktop installed and noticed that i only had a 220 volt outlet and the gas cooktop required a 110 volt for the electric line that is needed to light the burners they were available within two days of calling and were able to install promptly and professionally. they honored my angies list deal and were able to give me an additional discount i was able to enjoy my cooktop quickly!! Thank you good electric for and exceptionally great experience!!

The electrician that was sent this time did just as good of a job as all others sent by Good Electric. These guys are fantastic - they are friendly, professional, pleasant and always take time to answer questions and explain what they're doing. You won't be disappointed if you choose this company!!

The crew that came out here did a nice job, but the office staff were terrible. They were supposed to show up and didn't at one point.

Received a call at the appointment time to let me know they were on the way. Arrived shortly there after. I knew that I wanted a new light put outside for a specific purpose. I wasn't really sure where and how to place the light. Terry was very patient and we discussed several ways to do the work. The light is a perfect placement and it is less intrusive than I would have placed it. Both Terry and Johnnie were polite, neat and conscientious workers. Throughout the process, Terry asked me if I had any questions. They cleaned up their work areas when they left. Costs were reasonable and I will ask for them to return for any additional electrical work I have.

the price was 28% higher than competitors, after the big deal reduction for joining angies list. the business called ahead of the appointment to ask what work would be bid. I told them the specific number of replacements needed and they were not on the truck an additional had to be delivered. a 1 1/2 hour job became 3 1/2 hours. 10/08/2015 Update Subsequent to the initial experience I received a call from the owner of Good Electric, Mr. Larry Good. He read my review and called to address the fact that his electrician had forgotten to make me aware of a service promotion which was of greater benefit than the discount coupon received for purchasing "Angie's Big Deal Discount" at the premium level. The difference in the two the two cost figures was major. Mr. Good informed me that "after 31 years in business, we always try to do the right thing by our clients". Yesterday I received a refund for a thick percentage of the payment I made previously. This business practice is to be applauded and should (will) be rewarded, I intend to use this firm's services going forward and recommend them to others. John Boecker

They arrived when they said that they would, performed the service in an efficient and pleasant manner, and fully explained how they treat their customers and how they package their business and do their fees. It all seemed very fair and refreshing to deal with. We even managed to have a few laughs along the way. I will definitely be using Good Electric again.

Ronny called on the day of the appointment so I would know when to expect him. In my kitchen, he changed the two prong outlet to a GFI outlet. Ronny is professional, knowledgeable and courteous. I was given the Angie's List discount. I have used this company in the past and will use them again when necessary. I highly recommend Good Electric, LTD.

Completely removed old boxes and fittings, rewired the pool pump and gas heater and outdoor outlet connection, supplying all parts. The old system used 14 ga. instead of 12 and was fused instead of on breakers. He then reviewed remainder of electrical system outdoors, service entrance and indoors panel. This was very important to me, as the house is 50 years old. He made an appointment with me for a followup installation of surge suppressor. I concluded that appointment with his office scheduler. No fuss, no mess, no problems. Extremely nice electrician.

Very professional, very knowledgeable. Bought $99 deal for $198 worth of services. I think we still have a credit with them since the bill was less than $198.

Two guys showed up 8am promptly. The were very courteous, introducing themselves and putting on shoe covers so as not to mess up my carpet. The evaluated the speaker and the install location. Before the installation, we covered the floor and the bathroom counter with cloths to miniize the dust The guys worked as a team. One guys went to the basement to ensure the loation of the installation was in the proper location. They drew a circle to ake the cut, installed the speaker in about 20 minutes.

The analysis was correct, but the hissing was a pinhole leak in the pipe. The tech never suggested "Call a plumber." At first, I regarded this as an honest mistake, but it occurred to me that something this common--for someone in the trade--might have elecited a warning that the problem was elsewhere. I pointed this out to the ownership of the shop. The email got baot said, in essence, "We're not plumbers." True enough, but when I responded to the email with the observation that the tech might have suspected that an audible hissing went beyond a normal sound--I never heard it before--I got one of these elaborate "It's not our problem" emails that must have taken longer to compose than the tech spent on the problem. That irritated me no end. Mistake or no, it is your problem, but my wall was damaged far more than it would have been had I called a plumber quickly. I was relying on these guys because they had a good rating here. How would I know. I'm not an electrician period. No offer of a refund. In fact, no response to my second email. Period. Ok. Just be certain you know how these guys deal with a problem--they don't.

The whole experience with the company was pleasant. The person who arranged an appointment over the phone was personable as well as thorough. The technician came on time and answered all the questions we have with great details. We were very satisfied.
