+ -1 moreBought the deal and contacted Garage door inc pretty much immediately. Can't remember the exact date, but it was around the first week of June. Scheduled an appointment and when it was two hours after he was supposed to arrive, I called and it was like he had no idea what I was talking about. Once he did remember, he was rude and almost made me feel bad for him not being there. He performed the services quickly, but not in a thorough manner in my opinion. Would not recommend this company.
Description of Work: Bought a deal on Angie's list for $99 for garage door tune up and a few new rollers.

He changed the parts, pointed out a few things I could do if I wanted to, demonstrated the use of the garage door after the job was finished, and was professional throughout the whole process. It was a delightful experience. I would use this company if I have any future garage door needs.

+ -1 moreService was excellent and I plan to have him return & tune up the other garage door now that the garage is cleaned out.
Description of Work: Mr. Lindner (company owner) arrived at the time he stated, he was friendly, professional and performed a tune-up on the garage door as requested. When he was finished the door moved quietly & without the shaking & jarring that I had previously experienced. He did suggest that I place a piece of metal on the door top that upon opening prevented it from pushing the door beyound it's track therefore causing a lot of unnecessary damage. Something that the installer of the automatic door opener should have done (that was an extra $10). The best thing was when my husband came home & opened the door. He immediately wanted to know "who fixed the door" because it was so quiet.

Description of Work: I bought the $99.00 deal and called to make an appointment. The gentleman that answered my call made an appointment. They came out on our appointment date and did the work AND turned a piece around that had been installed backwards. It did not take a very long time and my garage door works more quietly than before.

+ -1 moreThey arrived on time. They made an analysis. Made the correction. Found that it was the wrong answer and performed trouble shooting until the problem was resolved. The whole process took less than an hour. Quiet and focused gentlemen. I would definitely hire them again.
Description of Work: One side of the double garrage door wasn't working properly so we couldn't get it to go up or down simultaneously.

Description of Work: On Friday, my garage door wouldn't open and I could not manually lift the door either. I called Garage Door Repair and he was willing to come out on Friday (but I was working) so I made the appt for Saturday between 9-10 am. He arrived on time and knew immediately what needed to be done and had the parts in his truck. Within an hour, he was finished. He replaced the spring over the door.

Mr. Lindner & his assistant came out on time & replaced the rollers per the deal & adjusted the opener. Everything worked great for a few weeks & then the opener started balking again (going down only so far then going up again). I called Mr. Lindner & he arranged to come by the next day. It turned out the sensor had been knocked out of line. He pointed that out, fixed it,& we chatted a few minutes: no charge!

They allowed me to purchase my own garage door openers rather than utilize those that they normally install at a higher cost. They did not press to do unnecessary work and completed everything efficiently. This is a family owned business and they treat people with respect. I would highly recommend them to others.

I had several questions which they answered thoroughly. The door now works very well and has worked fine for several months. It was much noisier before the maintenance and it is well bananced than before the work. It was a great deal for $99.

Description of Work: We bought the Big Deal not knowing what to expect for our older garage door. Chris, the technician knew what he was doing, did an excellent job explaining what had been causing our problems and fixing everything. There was an issue that was not covered in the Big Deal. A part was ordered. As soon as the part arrived Chris was back to install it. It is like we have a new garage door at a very small price. We would not hesitate to recommend this company.

+ -1 moreWhen out previously to replace rollers, They reversed the sensors to see if that would fix problem with not closing on sunny days.(doors face east ). That didnt fix so I called them back. Came out next day as agreed, replaced the sensors and I purchased a new remote from them to replace broken one. No more problems. Only charged for the parts. Couldn't ask for more.

Description of Work: We have a very old opener and old steel garage door 1960's moldels. The garage door for the past five years has made a tremendous amount of noise when opening and closing, we feel sorry for our neighbors. The opener was so old, there were no remotes, only a key on the outside of the door. I emailed the Garage Door Repair Co. on Saturday, Irvin, the owner called me back that same day. He came out Monday and gave me an estimate of $290.00 for installing an new opener with remotes and $50.00 for a keypad on the outside of garage door. He's Son-In-Law arrived Tuesday on time, installed the new opener and keypad. He worked an hour or longer on this old steel garage door, replaced a roller, hinge and worked on the spring, he got our garage door as quiet as a new door. I paid the amount Irvin quoted me, $340.00 total. No extra charge for the labor on the garage door. Irvin and his Son-in Law are very professional, show up on time and do a job well!

+ -1 moreThe following week, the door would not open all the way. I called them after a week and they came out right away. They discovered that the rollers were off track. After a while, the garage door still kept opening only part way. I have since called someone else to fix the garage door.

+ -1 moreIrvin visited my home to look at the situation even though I wasn't home at the time. He turned around a quote for me almost immediately. He was very helpful and has clearly been in the business forever. He had no problem with me getting a second quote from another company which was very comparable in price for a door that wasn't as durable. He was able to get my new doors ordered and installed within a week including windows. The price for my two 9' doors was originally less but the windows were an additional charge. I felt that I was being dealt with honestly the entire time and I would absolutely call Irvin again for any garage door repair.
