If you are thumbing through reviews I hope this one catches your eye somehow though it may be tough since all the reviews are "5" and this will likely blend in to the others. I initially contacted GDR solely based upon the reviews and I couldn't be happier with the service received. Pace was great to work with throughout the entire process. Kolten was great to work with during the install. Great family owned business that sees things through from start to finish. Use them, you won't regret it!!

I contacted the Garage Door Repair Company to fix a garage door that I had accidentally backed into one morning. They were simply awesome! I sent them pictures of the damage and within minutes I had a quote back on how much the repair would be and we scheduled the repair date. On the day of the repair, the technician contacted me about 30 minutes prior to the scheduled arrival time that he was on his way. He arrived exactly on time, completed the repair in about 45 minutes and we were charged exactly what was quote two days prior. The technician (Kolten) was also extremely professional and courteous. I'd recommend these guys in a heartbeat! Great experience!

Excellent, affordable and fast service once again!! Just after my husband put his car in the garage yesterday afternoon, and then closed the door as he normally would, the door stopped about 2 feet above the floor. Then suddenly the door fell, slamming shut with a very loud BOOM. The main spring had broken in two. We immediately called Garage Door Repair Co., which was made very easy since Todd had stapled one of their cards right by the control panel in the garage. But because it Sunday afternoon my husband didn't expect a call back until the next day--today. Well, the owner did call back! He told my husband that he could have a technician come by the next day (today) at 11 a.m., which normally would be fine. However, my husband was to drive to Kerrville and needed to pick someone up at 10:15 a.m. The owner understood and then re-arranged the morning schedule, telling us he would a technician at our house by 9 a.m. (Monday, Jan. 7th). Well, the technician was actually early and got right to work. We ended up replacing both springs, since they were both installed when the house was built in 1999, and the job was finished at a little before 9:30. And, the price was very reasonable, in our opinion. Overall assessment: VERY professional; we highly recommend this company!!

Left message for company and 20 minutes later was advised tech would be here 2 hours later. Kevin T. (tech) called to let me know he was on the way. Very nice guy, got to work immediately and the job took 20 min or so. From beginning to end, very good! Most excellent, and would hire again and refer to anyone and everything!

Kevin T. the technician was very professional. He took time to explain what the problem was and what steps he had taken to have the door working within 15 minutes. Great job.

They are the best! Very professional and quick! We decided to get a new garage door and since our original one was still good and my mother in law desperately needed one we had them remove her old rotted wood one and put our old one there. They were very efficient in getting this all scheduled and completed in the same day at both houses. We are very pleased! Their prices are also lower than the big companies. I am also a property manager and use them on the rentals I manage and they are also quick to respond and their prices are very reasonable. I would not use anyone else!

Kevin checked my system and replaced my opener and also programmed my car. Service was super efficient and punctual. Would use them again any time. My garage door mechanism is getting old and if and when I replace it I will call them back and Kevin said my new garage opener will work with whatever new system I choose and will not have to pay for a new opener. Kevin did repairs to the door and it is working better then before. This is an older home and we have decided to have Garage Door Repair Co. install new and better doors. Technician was pleasant and very professional. We would absolutely recommend this company.

The technician, Kolten, came to our home punctually and explained what needs to be done before the door replacement work, e.g. moving the car and motorcycle out of the garage and any other items that would hinder the job. Kolten is an extremely courteous technician and knowledgeable about the work. After the installation of the new garage door, he cleaned the area and door panel. Thank you for a great job!!!

We have a large garage with three full-sized doors in Oakwell Farms. We had Kevin (on time - friendly) come out to give us a Spring tune up and handle adjustments. Our doors have never been more quiet and smooth! The price was excellent - it was literally 1/3 of the "tune up" price being heavily advertised in mail pieces right now. (I called on the mailer and discovered that their "special" was PER DOOR!). The folks are Garage Door company are excellent.

Without a doubt, the VERY BEST OPTION for garage repair services in San Antonio!! Pace Talley--the owner--took time to quickly explain how nefarious companies operate in the area: extremely high estimates, unmarked trucks that show up at your house, how repair technicians sometimes do NOT provide an estimate (only a question, "...what did your previous company/technician give you for an estimate?...") As I got several estimates from various companies (sadly, all of them were in the Valpak coupon local mailers!), every single one of the scenarios that Pace explained played out!!!! Wasting no more time, I called back Talley and he sent a technician over the very next day. Kolten (Pace's stepson) was an absolute and courteous genius. He took less than one hour to complete the conversion and showed me exactly what happened to the old system. He further explained the history of his company and it is indeed rock solid, honest, truthful, and by far, the most price friendly option in town. They have built a business that I would be glad to share with any person looking for assistance in anything regarding garage doors. Pace's candor is reason enough to use this company. Do not get a random stranger in an unmarked truck/van/car to visit your house. Trust a professional technician in a company marked vehicle that takes pride in their work and their company. I will share their company name in all social media platforms that I frequent--especially in all neighborhood/community outlets. Bravo for a job well-done!!

I called the Garage Door Repair Company. Specifically due to the high ratings on Angie's list and elsewhere. Also, because of the word "Repair" in the company name. I could not be at home, but the employee that did the work was fantastic. He installed a special reinforcement bracket that solved the problem. Also, he checked the whole system and found a few other things, which he took care of. Total price was, I think, under a $ 100.....a very honest and great company that does exactly what they say they will do. Very responsive and courteous on the phone and prompt.

We exchanged pictures via text to agree on scope, cost and time frame. Kevin T. arrived on time and finished the job in just under 2 hours. The price quoted included parts and labor and there was no additional cost once the job was complete. We are very satisfied.

Even though it was a busy day for them, Kevin was at our door by 5}15. He rapidly determined that a spring had broken preventing our heavy door from rising. He replace the spring, checked the system out for any other problems and made sure my husband had a can of silicone spray for the future. Kevin was prompt, efficient, thorough and courteous. We had the same company out in 2013 and will definitely call them if we have any problems with our garage door.
