Description of Work: I was referred to one of the professionals at Etter Tree Care by another tree guy who knew they were all certified arborists. I was concerned about some brown branches on several of my live oak trees. These branches were at various places in the tree and turns out, were caused by squirrels. Apparently, they eat the bark around the base of 1-2 year old branches and the stripping of the bark causes the entire limb to die really quickly. David Vaughn at Etter Tree Care told me these branches wouldn't hurt the trees and I could either leave them or cut them off. He gave me an assessment of ALL the trees on my property and told me what to do to properly care for them. A consumate professional. I would use Etter again and recommend them highly to anyone who cares for their trees!

 + -1 moreAll of the work was performed exactly as was promised. All of the workers were courteous and my yard was cleaned of all twigs and leaves. The trees were trimmed in such a way that they should not have to be trimmed again for years. Whenever they do have to be trimmed again, they will be trimmed by Mr. Etter.
Description of Work: Mr Etter thoroughly examined all of my trees and gave me an estimate of the cost to remove and or trim any diseased trees or portions of trees and to cable limbs of trees. He was careful to make sure my roof was cleared of tree limbs and also that the workers would not be on my roof when the temperature was over a hundred degrees in the afternoon.

 + -1 moreWe called him 3 times, but he did not answer. He probably felt bad about it and brought his daughter along to take a look at the tree - it was a nice gesture on his part. His daughter is his assistant arborist, and is undergoing training. They are professionals, but they are busy and are hard to get a hold of.
Description of Work: I got Etter Tree Care to come and take a look at a tree. They gave us an expert opinion on how to truss it up and to support it.

 + -1 moreWe have two MAJOR oak trees that we cannot chance losing. Alisha Etter came to our home the day after we called, gave us an estimate and a specific date to expect them. They came the next day to remove two limbs so that we could get into the driveway and returned a week later to feed the trees. Then on the alloted date they finished the job. It was a wonderful job, cleaned up nicely, and in a timely manner. Because I abhore trees, "dehorned" and cut with no thought of the tree, I was certain that was not done. I was assured that they would not dehorn my trees and that they disliked that too and would NEVER do it. I am very pleased. The price was high but the fine work and expertise was worth what I paid.
Description of Work: Trim two very old and large oak trees, feed the trees, trim limbs away from the house and remove dead interior limbs.

 + -1 moreWhile you might have to wait a day or two for Etter's to come out, he is worth the wait because he is so knowledgeable about all types of trees, different types of tree problems and diseases, and how to treat them. His crew is great, very respectful, and does a nice job of cleaning up. Once they begin a job, they stay until they are finished rather than going back and forth to different jobs. I would highly recommend his company, especially if your trees are diseased or declining in any way.
Description of Work: Etter has trimmed, fertilized, diagnosed and treated our trees for several years. He has worked specifically with our very large live oaks that were declining because of having the flare roots covered with soil too deeply, fertilized them, and his crew has removed ball moss from them as well. The cost I've listed seems high because it covers several jobs he has done over the past few years, and is for several very large trees.

 + -1 moreEtter Tree Care did a great job. The workers that came out were very nice. They all worked very hard. The price was great. It seemed like a lot, but the tree was huge. I would definitely use them again.
Description of Work: They removed a large fifty-two inch tree that had fallen in our yard. They cut it up to remove it.
