Outstanding. The manager, Michael, was a City Forester at one time. He is very knowledgeable. All of the technicians were efficient and did beautiful work. Jason was very client oriented.

They did an overall estimate on general health regarding growth, patterns, locations, disease, etc. They did not have the package that we wanted. They gave us the best package and service price for the package. The came in and trimmed eight or nine trees. They took down one tree that they thought was a hazard to the house. They did an excellent job in removing it. They followed up a week later with a stump removal crew. They came and took care of that. Grinded it down, gave us all the much. Offered to cut it up for firewood for us. Without a doubt would recommend them and use them again.

The consult went great. David was punctual, professional, and knowledgeable. He examined all the trees on my property, plus a large row of my prized Burford Hollies. We discussed potential issues and long term care and pruning. David was very patient and we discussed each tree at length. It was a pleasure talking to a true professional who is dedicated to his craft. I took notes and learned a lot from David. In addition, he even took some time to look at my neighbor's Live Oak that I asked him to look at to determine the long term effects of some storm damage.

We had gotten quotes from a couple other tree trimming companies, and they were substantially less. Enough that we got cards, and gave all to our neighbors. They were on time.

Their prices were very reasonable. They were very knowledgeable about the trees. They are arborous.

Everything went very well. Miguel and Rafael, the Etter Tree Care team, did a great job. Took about 6 hours. It was a tough job and very hot. The guys were very professional and careful in going about their work. The yard was cleaned up before leaving. I will call Etter Tree Care in the future when needed.

This was the 2nd time we had Etter's out to trim our trees. They are very thorough and professional. They offered advice for DIY to save a bit of money. Very appreciated!

David, the arborist, was professional and detailed in his description of the disease in the large, 20 year-old Red Oak and recommended immediate removal before it could pose a danger of falling on the house. We made an appointment and the crew were on time, careful in their work and cleaned up all the debris. The job was complicated by the fact they had to remove the tree over a 6 foot concrete wall. The pruning of the other two trees was completed at the same time in the manner David had stated.

We just bought our house last year and fell in love with the huge, old oak tree out back but had no idea what type of care to give it. It was overgrown and hanging over our back fence and had heavy limbs pushing down on telephone and cable lines. We knew we had some dead limbs as well. Ed came recommended by our neighbor who wanted him to prune her trees that happened to hang onto our roof. He walked the property with us identifying the many transplanted species we have. He assessed the health of all of the trees, noted which ones needed pruning and which ones had been over-pruned previously. He made recommendations on the work to be done, including removing the vine from the oak tree and pruning dead limbs that were positioned right above our driveway. He was very professional and very friendly. On the day of the job, he was on time with a full crew to start the work and answer any questions. We were thrilled with the work done, we will be using them again!

Etter Tree Care was recommended to me by a local talk radio host as someone with a good reputation. I called them and they scheduled David Vaughan to come for a consultation. He looked at the trees in question and gave me a very detailed explanation of what the situation was concerning both of the trees. He answered all of my questions fully and in detail. David is extremely knowledgable, an all around friendly guy and just plain fun to talk with. He spent about 45 minutes looking over the rest of my trees and making suggestions on anything else he thought I needed to know. He also left me some printouts to read. I was more than impressed with him. I thought I got far more than my $40's worth of information!

Showed up on time, cleared away all debris. I could not be more satisfied with their work and will definitely hire this company again

Mr. Vaughn suggested heavy composting and explained detailed watering instructions. He did not think we needed expensive aerating or fertilizing other than the composting. I would highly recommend this service.

They are top notch. They are extremely knowledgeable. They are the most knowledgeable arborists that we have dealt with in San Antonio. We have a magnolia tree. We have really been in danger of losing it for the past five years. We hired them and they have been giving special fertilizer treatments for it and diagnosing its problems. When we asked them about pruning they said our other trees had not been pruned properly. They did a beautiful job of pruning our trees too.

. They were certified arborist. They know about trees and its diseases and how to take care of the trees. They were very professional. They came out and looked at all my trees in the property and gave me some advice on how to care for them. As for quality of their work we need to use them for years. So far it is good. They were responsive to phone call. They have recommended some pruning in summer so I will be having them come back and do that.

They were highly recommended by one of our horticulture supply people here. Also, they had different seals of the American Arborist Society and things like that. On the surface, they just seemed very well qualified. Their quality of work seemed very good, but there were a couple of things that count for the survey. One is that it seems like the price was being all too expensive for what they were doing. The other is that the last time over here a couple of things happened. One is that the chief arborist or the tree expert looked at the tree and then gave some sort of instructions to his team and then left like immediately. Then, there was a mix up on price. From the price that was quoted to us what I understood was that it was like double of what it was going to be. The good thing is that I told him and questioned the thing. He assured me that now the price is right, but he was sorry for the misunderstanding. He reduced it, and I was happy with that. At least he did not brush me off, but still it kind of disturbed me that there could be such a discrepancy between what I thought I was going to pay and what they billed me. I have been very reluctant to go back to them. The work they did still seemed like it was pretty good.

The experience was fine. I had contacted them last fall about grinding down a couple of large tree stumps. I scheduled that and the work was fine. They also gave me an estimate for the tree trimming. I wasn't ready to do it for a while. I called and they called me back when they were ready to put it on their schedule. I watched them because I wanted them to know that I wanted the tree trimmed very conservatively. It is not a mature tree. They were fine. I picked them because I felt I could trust them not to butcher the tree or take too much off. I was happy with what they did and they checked for dead wood. They were very careful about that and they were thorough. I certainly would use them again.

These three large oak trees played a major role in my buying this house. I have had Etter out twice now in the last 5 years. The same gentleman came out both times to price the job. He was very knowledgeable and personable, taking the time to point out different aspects of the trees' conditions and discussing what Etter would do and why. The first year they came out (2005) they removed a cedar and some soapberries, ground down the stumps and trimmed the live oak. They stated the two red oaks in the back were in good condition and didn't need anything done. This time they came out and trimmed all three, raising the canopies, thinning the tops and trimming to encourage a dominant main trunk. They came when they said they would and the yard was clean when they left.

They were fantastic. They were prompt, reasonable with their pricing, knew what they had to do, and the clean up was great. It was a great experience and I will continue to use them.

Etter arrived at the appointed time with all the necessary equipment. We discussed the work to be performed as described in the estimate we received earlier. The crew got to work and did exactly as discussed. They ground the branches on site and cut and stacked larger limbs to use in our fire pit. Finally they cleaned up the work site and were gone in about 90 minutes.
