Barry was the only company who actually treats the wood by sealing the boards, not just the top of the boards. They showed on time and did quality work. If you want the cheapest, Barry's system isn't for you but the service he does provides great value and the appearance is awesome. First, completely cleaned deck down to the natural wood color. Treated for mold and added a wood brightner. Let dry and came back and used oil penetrating liquid to treat the entire board, not just the top of the boards. The end job looks great. Had to come back and do a few touch ups. Did them in a timely manner. I would recommend Barry's system to anyone who wants to preserve their wood, not just cover it up.

His crew was very good, cleaned up after themselves. They also called if they were going to be late. I would recommend them.

I will be using him. I was impressed with his knowledge of the deck. I called four of them and two of them never came. One of the companies told me they would be in the area and they would come to give the quote, but they weren't around. I got a quote from the second company. The third company couldn't come because they had a death in their family, so they were out of town. Deck & Patio Care By Barry Hagendorf told me that what he would be doing in my deck will not just be a cover up, but it is going to help preserve it and I don't have to replace it. The other company said they would just repaint it. Deck & Patio Care By Barry Hagendorf showed me the mold on it and that he would treat it. He was going to take the stain off and get it down to the original color. He would preserve the wood, so it would have original color on it. He would replace the board that wasn't good. He quoted $2500 for the job. I heard back from him and he came on time. I called him with questions that I had and he answered my questions.

Barry Hagendorf did a great job restoring our 8 year old deck. We had used a stain previously (do-it-yourself job) with less than good results. The product we selected wasn't decent and did not wear well or protect the wood like we expected. Barry came in, assessed the condition, cleaned and restored our wood and saved us from much more expensive options. His cleaning process and team were easy on our landscape and the oil-based stain looks really good (natural). I will call Barry for periodic reconditioning with the stain. It is obvious why Barry has been in this business so long.

I had to call him twice but he didn’t get angry about it, he came out, he sent his people back and took care of it. He seems to have a lot of common sense and has good people skills. He has a couple of teams that work for him. When you hit him, you got to get booked out, he is that much into it, he can even come in the next day.

He was very good with explaining everything that he had to do. I have always been real impressed with the quality of the work. I can go to home depot and buy whatever sealer and whatever stain or something like that and spend twice as much time as they do and not even approach half the quality because that's one of the things they do, they seal stuff and then clean it up and make it look new again or they build them.

Mr. Hagendorf was prompt, and performed the deck refinishing exactly as he described. I appreciate the explanation of what was to be done when he gave me an estimate. I would not hesitate to recommend.

Barry Hagendorf provided detailed estimate of work and scheduled date of service. Afternoon one: team cleared out deck boxes & placed decking boards over openings.The team removed at least three 55 gallon bags of dirt and accompanying hardware. Day two the team thoroughly stripped and cleaned deck surface.The team prepared the work area, performed chemical and physical removal of the old finish and used a power washer to rinse deck clean. Care was taken not to damage the deck or surrounding landscape. Final day, team lightly sanded and sealed deck surface. Team sprayed product onto deck surface and followed with brushes, paying attention to detail and using thorough workmanship. All crew members arrived in a timely fashion with tools and equipment required for the job and all crew members were detail orientated.

The price was what we expected it to be. The quality of their work was good. I rate them high overall. I will use them again in the future.

I needed an estimate for re-staining my deck. We are planning to put the house on the market. He was very prompt in returning my phone call, as well as punctual when he came to my house. He explained his process for treating the deck and why he uses his process. He tested a spot on the deck to see if the process will work and provided an estimate. He seemed genuine and honest during the entire visit.

The results were just as Barry said they "wood" be.

The powerwashing ruined the cement, the gazebo, and part of my front porch. The spray was so powerful, it took the paint off of my gazebo and took off the top layer of the cement! I now need to have everything refinished.

The job took longer than expected, but 90% of it had to do with things we found when the existing boards were removed.

I thought his prices were a little high. They scrubbed it down with a wire brush and looks great. He came and gave an estimate. He came back and did said what he said he would do.

As above; I do not think we will hire him, as his pricing is crazy, and I'm still uncomfortable with him not getting back to me from the start. I think that if his product was as wonderful as he states, it would be used more by other people, not just himself. Seems a bit fishy to me.

The deck looked dismal! It now looks great! I am very pleased with the work done. Workers arrived when they said they would and completed their work with minimal impact. The price was more than I had intended to spend, however, the effort/work involved was more than I realized plus, the result was so much nicer than anticipated.

THIS GUY HAS OVER 20 YEARS EXPERIENCE. HE HAS CREATED HIS OWN STAIN THAT BY FAR BEATS ANYTHING ON THE MARKET. HE IS VERY FRIENDLY AND PROFESSIONAL AND FAIR IN PRICE.

I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH THE EXPERIENCE. I FIRST HEARD OF THE COMPANY THROUGH A CIRCULAR SENT IN THE MAIL. BARRY VISITED THE HOUSE FIRST AND SHOWED ME THE STEPS HIS TEAM WAS GOING TO PERFORM. I AM VERY PLEASED WITH THE OUTCOME.
