Description of Work: New A/C unit. Our 2nd from them.(a 2 unit house) We also have a maintence contract that works out really well, they remind us to get service done twice a year. They ALWAYS are clean, on time, and careful. Best A/C company I have ever dealt with!

Description of Work: Our old unit stopped cooling. They carefully explained all of our options from replacing the part that went out to replacing the entire unit. They made us a great offer so we decided to upgrade and replace the entire unit. The workers were very professional and we are completely satisfied with our purchase. Description of Work: I woke up on a saturday and my system wasn't working. I called before 8am & a tech was at my house before 12pm. The service was great. The tech was on time, assessed the problem, showed me the damaged part and made sure I was ok with the price before doing the repair. He gave me cost free suggestions to improve my AC system function. I definitely recommend Comfort Designs and plan to enroll in their service plan.

 + -1 moreExcellent overall experience. The company responded quickly to my e-mail request via Angie's List system and made the appointment for the same day. The office called when Lee, the technician, was on the way and he arrived early within the time frame promised. Lee quickly found the problem and set about fixing it. He was also very helpful in explaining what he was doing and why. I will certainly use Comfort Design for my routine twice-yearly a/c and furnace service and any future services as needed.
Description of Work: Deiced and monitored a/c system, added refrigerant, tightened caps and valves.

 + -1 moreWe have had great customer service with Comfort Design since we began using them two years ago. They generally call every six months to schedule the bi-annual check-up. On the day of service, I get another call letting me know they are on their way to the house. They are almost always on time or early. They even wore surgical booties over their work boots so as not to bring in mud into the house. Usually, we are required to replace an expensive accordion style filter every year but ours didn't need it yet. They told us we could wait and save the extra $70. They spent about an hour servicing our A/C. Also, we had scheduled a local company to clean the air ducts two days later. What we didn't know and what Comfort Design informed us was that the type of ducts we have are not metal and cannot be cleaned in the way this company would have done it. It saved us $100.00. However, when we inquired about the stuff blowing out of our A/C vents, they let us know that what was blowing out was from the attic dust, and that the ducts were not properly sealed. They are coming back with no additional service fee to evaluate the situation and seal the ducts.
Description of Work: Comfort Design came out for the bi-annual check-up on our A/C (heat pump) system. This included checking the A/C filter, cleaning parts, checking the system for leaks, and other technical checks.

 + -1 moreThe routine service turned into needing Freon for an additional $169. I was supposed to be notified if a/c needed anything other than I was quoted. I was not notified! Report told me that both units were old and should be replaced (even though they were working okay). I requested a quote for replacement. I was promised one but never received it!
Description of Work: I had just bought 2 condos and wanted the air conditioning units serviced (routine maintenance). Service was supposed to cost $79 per condo. If they needed anything else, I was supposed to be contacted.
