Billy Hovestadt, and Cut-Rite did an excellent job. The arrived the day the job was scheduled to begin, and worked diligently with a large crew until the job was complete. Billy kept me informed of any issues as they arose. I only wish more contractors could operate in this manner.

The Cut-Rite team did a great job with the removal and installation of the new plants and river rock. The team communicated well throughout the project and kept everything clean during the project. We were talking about power washing the sidewalks as soon as they were done, but on the last day they power washed everything. The price was fair and the execution was excellent. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to others.

The work was on time and done excellently. Billy the supervisor and other supervisors were extremely respectful and courteous. They made sure every detail pf the job was done the way we wanted them and in the time frame we needed. They treated us with the same professionalism as do the Cut-Rite Lawn teams that we use. I would highly recommend Billy and his teams for any landscaping, lawn maintenance, and any outdoor construction someone owuld want done.

Very smoothly began on the date promised and finished on the date promised.

The work took several weeks but there was a lot of work required to complete remove all of the sod, plants, etc,, and begin again on a clean slate with additional top soil, drip lines, new plants and flowers, and new sod.

All the services provided exceeded our expectations. They were prompt, professional, answered questions, and ensured we were satisfied. Our yard is beautiful.

It was going well. I set up an appointment for bi-weekly services. They came for the first and only time to do a general clean-up. I was pleased with the service and planned to continue. when they arrived for the second service date I was out of the office and Mike from cut-rite came into our office and spoke to the receptionist. From what I was told by her later Mike told her that cut-rite could no longer service my business and was transfering our account to an individual and wanted to know if it was allright. First of all he brought that individual with him when he came into the the office. I was given the message but I did not reply. I felt it was very unprofessional for cut-rite to bring the new individual to my office and speak to my receptionist without consulting me privately. I should have been told first and given my consent before he brought the individual in my office (he could have called me).. I did not ever reply to them that I approved or disapproved of this transfer. Granted, that was my mistake. I had not known that the individual had actually done the second service and not cut-rite. a few weeks later he (the new service provider) came into my office (again I was not in) and created quite a scene saying I haven't paid him and was cheating him. first of all I did not pay him since I had no idea he had provided a service or that I owed him money. secondly, I had never approved him to service my lawn in the first place. (my assistant did pay him to get him out of the office since he was making such a scene). I am very disappointed in cut-rite for putting me, my business and employees in this awkward position. they had no right to transfer my service to an individual without my consent..

Billy (owner) came out the very first time to give us an estimate and hear what sort of landscape I wanted to develop in our semi-rural subdivision in Spring Branch. Although I specifically requested xeriscaping and low maintenance plants, he developed a very expensive Plan including flower beds all around the front of the house. He completely disregarded my dislike of the existing palms and wanted to plant even more of them. It seems he had his vision and it was not mine! His crew was never on time and frequently did not show up. His excuse was That we were the farthest route out that he had and some of his crew was sick or a truck was broken down. His crew completely insulted my intelligence by Telling me that they had sprayed for weeds on the Beds and the reason I couldn't tell was that "it was invisible"! Billy defended his crew and said that they must have done it. He told me how much a quart is his Powerful weed killer cost and that they could not possibly afford to use that and make a profit. I sent him a pic of the weeds, strong and healthy, in the beds. I BEGGED him to send a crew out because dandelions were about to go to Seed and would blow all over our yard. Re: the bookkeeper, she had no clue when the crew had actually been to our property. She sent bills like clockwork for the months it rained And Billy explained that it was too wet to work and that EVERYONE'S yard was overgrown. We have had a new service for two months and she continues to send us bills despite the fact that we FIRED them two months ago!! DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE!!

Billy and his crews are outstanding! We had tried 3 other lawncare teams in our 4 yrs in SA and finally hit the jackpot. They came on the days they promised, were professional, and did great work. The team was responsive to both my phone calls, messages as well as texts. The only downside is that we have since moved from the area...but, if we come back, CutRite is who we will call to do our lawn!

Cut-Rite is small enough to give personalized service and big enough to be reliable. This is a first class operation, from the first interaction builds confidence and assurance that you will get what you want and more. When I first walked the yards with Billy I knew that we had a common understanding of what I wanted; I was impressed and immediately had the trust in him that I needed. We started with a clean-out and cutback as the previous owners and landscape company let things get overgrown. After the clean out we walked the yard again and talked about the possibilities the yard could offer. I was a little apprehensive but Billy said "just trust me and I won't let you down". We agreed on the scope and Wow did it turn out great. It was way beyond our expectations. After the redesign and planting, all the sprinklers and drip systems checked and reworked as needed to make sure they worked properly. Lighting was OK, but we wanted to show off the beauty of the yard and trees in both the front and rear yards so Billy and Robert came out one night to assess the lighting at night and made a number of recommendations. Again, our expectations were exceeded. We also added a mosquito mist system so we could spend more time outside. What impresses me the most is the personal service and follow up care you get with Cut-Rite. Billy checks all his customers yards once a week to make sure that were getting what we expect. He has also come out at night to check lighting to make sure it meets his standards. We highly recommend this company and are very happy with the service that we are getting.

Bily and his teams did an excellent job. Billy has an excellent eye for detail and provided great suggestions prior to the commencement of work. Billy kept us updated prior to the start of the job and was present for the start and end of each work day. Importantly, when we did notice issues or have questions, he responded in a timely fashion and made the necessary changes. Cut-Rite is more expensive than most but you can be sure that you are getting quality work and a team that will satisfy your goals. Overall, we are very pleased with the work and I am confident that Billy and Cut-Rite will stand behind their work.

I called 3 times to get an estimate for landscaping , maintenance, fertilizing, etc. Each time I was told Billy would contact me. He never did. At no time was the person answering the phone the least bit bit apologetic and never seemed concerned about whether they got my business or not. This was disappointing because they have such a stellar reputation and such fine reviews. I am certain that their lackadaisical customer service will catch up with them.

I was interested in getting a quote for lawn maintenance as well as other landscaping projects we are considering. I left 2 messages on their voicemail 2 different days and sent an email via their website. I did not receive any return phone call or email. I have seen their work in our neighborhood and they also came recommended by another landscaping company who is not currently taking on new clients. Not sure why no response. Even if they aren't taking on new clients, a response would have been appreciated.

Provide extensive landscaping services to prepare home for sale. Billy has extensive knowledge of what is needed to provide the best 'curb appeal' at a reasonable price. He was in constant contact with me on time/date and walked me through the end product. Excellent workmanship.

Billy (owner) has been working with us for years. Totally professional, reliable and fair.

Today, Billy, the owner came out with a large crew and made suggestions on what needed to be done, including a lot of leave removal and other unsightly junk which were detracting from the property. Billy is very particular with the looks of every property he manages and has even, with permission, showed the work to prospective customers. Ask him for referrals and look at what he has done. Cut Right is usually very busy, because they are good, and you may have to wait if you choose an extensive landscaping project. He won't rush a job and sacrifice quality. Years ago, the owner gave us a reasonable bid, but we couldn't afford it at the time. Later when we could afford the landscape work , we had all of the work done, and have received numerous compliments from neighbors and friends - resulting in new business for Cut Rite. I would recommend using Cut Rite, knowing that his first bid is his best bid, which I believe is very reasonable. Don't waste your time getting another bid from someone else, because you will soon realize that you will probably be disappointed with the quality of work if you choose someone else. If you get a bid from Billy, keep in mind that he is going to recommend doing what is best for your property. You can always go against his recommendation at a cheaper price, but you won't be happy.

They completely transformed our yard and landscaping from overgrown and neglected into something that is absolutely beautiful. We are so proud and happy with the work. His crew was timely, professional and extremely meticulous. The owner checked on the progress of the work multiple times to be sure that every detail was being done correctly... he has very high standards. He completely discussed the work plans and expected cost upfront and there were no unexpected charges. We intend to use this company weekly now for lawn and landscaping maintenance.

Representatives showed up on time, did their work well, and completed all requirements without a problem. I will use them again when I have special projects to complete.

The Cut-Rite team always do a great job. They are very responsive, not only when I first contacted them, but ever since we have been their customers. When we asked them to also conduct some major work in our yard, they came when they promised and worked until they job was complete, even around inclement weather. They even provided a complimentary sprinkler maintenance service. We are very happy customers!

They removed shrubs hedges, but there were a few roots left. They called to follow up, I told them about it, they came right out to take care of it and make sure I was satisfied.

From the first call to the initial visit everything was well handled and communicated. estimates emailed, confirmation call and emailed, appointment on time and the visit was not rushed. care was given to discuss the yard, expectations to be seen and no over-the-top promises about what to find. The costs were very reasonable, especially when one considers the big box costs for self application weed sprays & fertilizers. If you consider the professional touch, the knowledge and the attention given to discuss the options - there is no comparison. Excellent, they have a Raving Fan who will continue to entrust our lawn to them (I'll still mow it though, I like the exercise.)

It's a really great company to work with. The customer service is great. When I came out here, when I wanted some landscaping done, I told them what I wanted, they never really went above any expense that I wanted and they provide exactly what I was looking for. In addition to that, they were also able to supply some really great vendors that we use on top of that. I think their price is a little higher but I pay for the quality too. The quality of the work that they do, I don't ever have a problem.
