Beyer Boys A/C, Heating & Plumbing

What an amazing experience! This company truly is second to none. We called them on memorial day as our unit went out on Sunday night. Their technician arrived on time and prepared to work. He looked over our unit, assessed all of the duct work and explained all of the details to us. The next day another tech came out and measured our home, every room, every window and the attic area. He went over every little detail with us and although we told him we wanted the largest system possible, he explained why that is not a good idea (bigger is not always better). He then explained how each system worked and how the tax rebates would affect our purchase. He was extremely knowledgable. After the system was installed and used for approximately one we called to tell them we were having issues with a back bedroom cooling adequately. They sent a group of 3 men out to assess the situation, they spent over 4 hours at our home rearranging the duct system in the attic and cutting new air intake vents into another area of the home (over 4 hours and no charge!) We gave it another week and the system has worked perfectly. Not a single issue, they arrive on time and every 6 months to clean and maintain the system and we absolutely love their work. Our bill went from $350-$500 a month during the summer to our highest bill in the last 12 months has been $150 for a 2200 square foot ranch home.

In the end, I went with another firm due to cost and immediate availability of the work schedule. The engineering solutions were similar and the units installed were identical with those offered by Beyer Boys. I believe that the Beyer Boys provided an excellent proposal; Tim was prompt, on time, and very courteous in all transactions. I would not hesitate to use Beyer Boys in the future.

The technician who came to the house was friendly and professional, and seemed to complete a thorough diagnostic check. I was not, however, provided any options except replacing my A/C unit, and was given two estimates for replacing the 4 ton unit - $7511 and $10,855 (for a high efficiency unit). Neither was an option for me at the time, and I was told that nothing could be done to get the unit working. I ended up having 2 other companies come out, and received quotes of $450 and $650 to pull and clean the evaporator coil on the unit. I was warned by both the 2 other companies that this would be a temporary fix only, and that I would need to replace my unit soon. But I very much appreciated even the temporary fix (understandably, given the South Texas heat in July). I would have given Beyer Boys a higher grade if I had been provided an alternate/temporary solution to this problem.

One of our two AC's went out on a Sunday with a bunch of relatives staying in the house. The after-hours service tech was prompt and professional. The installation a few days later went smoothly. No complaints from our standpoint, would use again.

They were good, but not great. They did not impress me as much as another company did. Their quoted price was about $6,000. They did not volunteer information about utility company discounts that I could get. They told me after I asked about it, but they were not upfront about why I should get better materials than what I currently have.

They were great. They were very quick and responsive, which was important because it was really hot and we had no A/C. One thing I really appreciated is they offered the plan that they would come out and do the maintenance, but they didn't push it. They only mentioned it once and then they let it be and I really appreciated that.

Arrived promptly at 0830 to remove old air conditioner and install new one they left at 1630 after the had cleaned up area they were working in. They did an incredible job and actually installed the unit one day early due to we have small children and it was incredibly hot. Jessie the sales person pushed to get unit for us and he came through with flying colors. We would definately recommend this business for any typle of plumbing or air conditioner problem.

Great service. Woke up Saturday morning with our upstairs a/c not working. Called Beyer at 9:00 Saturday morning and they had a technician at my house in about a hour.Replaced the capaciter on the outside unit and checked the inside unit.

They are always good. They are professional, knowledgable, and thorough.

I am a property manager and I explained this to them that I needed to be called before any work was done. I can only approve work up to $250 without talking with the owner. There was a small leak under the sink. They did show up after hours and fix the problem, but never called me back with price or what was wrong. I called them the following morning to find out it was a $500 repair. When I talked with another plumber I use and showed them the work that was done they said that the pricing was outrageous (to which I agreed). I did call and complain about the pricing and that I was not contacted so they reduced the price to $375 (but still a very high price).I had asked them if night visits were more expensive and they said that they were not.. so if that is the pricing all the time, I would never use the plumbing department again due to cost.

Called Beyer Boys from a list of a lot of plumbing companies listed. I was extremely pleased by promptness of the Beyer Boys. Gabriel was great where he was able to diagnosed my plumbing problem. She showed me what was causing the problem. Gabriel was very knowledgeable and trustworthy. I was very pleased in the pricing as well. He also quoted me an additional plumbing quote to install a pressure relieve value which will help on the where and tear of my plumbing parts inside my home. The price he quoted seem very reasonable and will schedule this work in the near future.

It turned out nothing to be to serious the last time. Repairman explained what had happened and why. They are my go to guys for my air conditioning needs. Best 89.00 I spent to have it running.

It was fine. They came down and they did what they were supposed to for the amount that they said they were going to.

Beyer Boys have been servicing our A/C & HTG for six years. I can't say enough about this company. Every call into the office is handle with professionalism. They are always on time for appointments. The technicians are courtesous and knowledgable.

THESE ARE THE NICEST PEOPLE I'VE EVER DEALT WITH, AND NOT IN A PATRONIZING WAY, BUT SINCERE. THEY SPENT THE ENTIRE DAY GETTING OUR THREE UNITS CLEANED UP AND OPERATING PROPERLY, AND CORRECTING INSTALLATION PROBLEMS THE ORIGINAL INSTALLER HAD MADE WHEN WE BUILT THIS HOUSE. THEY TOOK GREAT PAINS TO EXPLAIN EVERYTHING TO ME, AND THEN AGAIN TO MY HUSBAND WHEN HE CAME HOME. WE WERE SO IMPRESSED WITH THEIR PRICES AND SERVICE, WE SIGNED UP FOR THEIR GOLD PROGRAM!

They're great. It's not all that expensive. I've dealt with them through work. They serviced the company that I worked for and saw that they did good work. So when I had the problem with the air conditioner, I called them and they and one worker went to the attic and stepped on the air conditioning poked a whole through the drain pan which made us have leak in the kitchen and which is not where you want it. They came out right away and put a whole new unit in. They filled out the paperwork for CPS rebate that they had going on at the time. They made sure all the paperwork got done where I got my discounts. They really took dare of me all the way around.

They do all of my heating and air conditioning work and do very good work. They are very timely and have first quality products and service. They may be a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. They come in the fall to make sure my heating system is ready for winter and then in the spring for an air conditioner check-up.

Our A/C unit was not cooling properly on Friday evening. We got on the Beyer Boys website and submitted a request for service for the next day. Saturday morning we spoke with the answering service and she said that someone would be out to our house after noon and he would call first. The service man did call ahead to let us know he was coming over. He was polite and courteous and fixed the problem. We have always had courteous service men when using Beyer. They are good about wearing shoe covers when they walk inside the home. We recommend them and their quality service.

I wanted to replace the two AC units in my home (a 4-ton and 2-ton unit) as they were 18 years old and one had already needed new refrigerant the past two years at over $160 per pound of refrigerant. So I did what is recommended and enlisted three different A-rated Angie?s List HVAC companies for quotes. My intention was to replace my old Carrier system with a Trane system but I wanted something very energy efficient so I was looking for a minimum 16 SEER rated system for both units. The first company out to our home steered me toward a model wasn?t in favor of but kept insisting it was the best buy for my money even though I stated I wanted the best bang for my buck. By best bang I did not necessarily look just for a return on investment as I was setting a new baseline for my home energy use. In the end I was given a $16,300 quote on two single-stage 16 SEER units. This included an $800 CPS energy credit. The second company out pushed a manufacturer I was not interested in as it had previously been considered low quality. He kept insisting these guys were the Hyundai of HVAC and when I finally got him to give me a quote on a Lennox system it was over $18,000, after Lennox rebates and the CPS credit. The final company was the Beyer Boys. I contacted them and within two days Tim Megason was at my home reviewing my old HVAC system. I told him what manufacturers I was interested in, which by this time included Lennox as my research had indicated they were a top HVAC manufacturer. Not once did Tim try to steer me toward a particular model. He went over some options and the pros and cons with each. He spent at least 45 minutes at my residence and he was a pleasure to deal with. Don?t get me wrong, all three salesmen from the different companies were great but Tim didn?t steer me toward a particular manufacturer or model and I appreciated that. He listened to my rationale for wanting maximum efficiency units and presented me with multiple options. He also told me about Lennox rebates and how much the rebates were Lennox was offering (one of the other companies to give me Lennox quotes did not tell me what those rebates were). He gave me some options from single stage, high SEER rated systems to two-stage, high SEER rated systems. In the end he told me he?d email me multiple quotes by the next day and he did. The quotes were easy to understand and clearly spelled out the cost, the Lennox rebate, the CPS credit and the federal tax credit. By comparison with the other companies, I was able to get top of the line, two-stage 20 SEER and 18 SEER units for my home at the same cost or less than the other two companies were offering (around $16,600). So it was a no-brainer that I chose the Beyer Boys. Installation day followed the next week. The two technicians, Anthony and Emanuel, showed up on time and within 6 hours quickly installed the upstairs unit. The next day they came to finish the installation of the second unit. During the installs they made sure they covered our stairs with plastic to keep from messing up our carpets and they cleaned up all of their materials and disposed of the old systems keeping our home as clean as when they arrived. Both guys were very courteous and worked incredibly hard. As part of the installation I asked that the air into my master bedroom be balanced since our MBR was always hotter in the summer and cooler in the winter than the rest of the house. The Beyer Boys installed baffles to control the flow of air from the transfer box leading to our MBR, master bath and closet. Two days after the install we noticed the room was still too warm and asked Beyer Boys to come back out and check the system. They came out the next day and went ahead and installed a new line from the main plenum coming out of our downstairs unit in the attic to the transfer box going to the MBR and this provided the additional airflow needed to keep the temperature consistent with the rest of the house. The Beyer Boys submitted our Lennox rebate and CPS credit paperwork. By June 5th I had already received the $1,350 CPS credit in my account. I also just received my first CPS electric bill and it was only $187! This while our AC units have been on 24/7 since the install and this low bill included about 10 days under the old AC units in our home. I?m expecting even lower bills in July as I just finished having a radiant barrier installed in my home. Overall we were absolutely thrilled and pleased with the entire process with the Beyer Boys. From the first interaction with Tim Megason, to the installation process with Anthony and Emanuel we couldn?t have expected any better service. They are definitely an A+ company and if you are interested in a new HVAC system I highly recommend you look to the Beyer Boys for your installation.

The fan on our condensing unit went out at 9:45pm the night of the 22nd. I looked up Beyer information on AL and gave them a call. Someone answered my call right away and said that a technician would be out with an hour or so. Sure enough the tech was right on time. Very very nice guy. Polite, personable and professional. I asked that he call when he got to my house because my toddler was already asleep. He did exactly that. He knew what the problem was right away and said he carried the part to fix it. Our A/C was up and running in less than an hour. He even cleaned my unit while he was there as a courtesy. The technician accepted my AL coupon and my total cost was just over $200.00. I was blown away. I thought for sure that the cost would be higher. Needless to say they have a customer for life. Thanks for all.

The technicians were professional and worked straight through to complete.

It was very good, the plumber also fixed the base of the commode because it was so wobbly. I wasn't even going to ask he did it on his own. I would use them again.

The service was performed efficiently. The technician arrived on schedule. Our a/c units are older, I understand the condition of the units and the required maintenance to maintain operating efficiency. The tech confirmed the maintenance needs and made the appropriate recommendations. He did not attempt to "up sell" me on unnecessary services. I will renew our annual service contract.

Excellent on all accounts. They came on the weekend at no extra cost. They were courteous, and clean. They were honest and didn't try to make more out of a situation than what there was.

We had emergency service required at my mom's house. Called at 9:00 to several plumbing contractors (4) requesting pricing and availability. They were one of two that could give us a firm estimate. They told us that it would take an hour to get there from their current job location. They showed up promptly at 10:00 accessed the issue and realized that they would have to go on the roof. They did their job and made sure we were aware never to use those wipes again, even though they say bio-degradable. The two gentlemen were professional and pleasant.
