Atlas Floors Carpet One

Update 3/15/15. A word of caution---take a sample of the wood you are considering having installed, and test it's resistance to marring. Drop your iPhone on it, drop your electric toothbrush on it, and if you own a trundle bed, check if the wheels (the feet wheel have had pads put on them) will damage the wood when you move the bed to sweep behind it. We selected Russian Birch, which falls on the softer end of the Janka Wood Hardness Scale. Atlas described the wood in terms of "pounds per square inch" it can bear, and that "high heels will mar it". We have no children, no dogs, and no one wears high heals. Our sales person thought this wood would be appropriate for us, given our lifestyle. Sadly, we feel the floor owns us instead of us owning the floor. It damages so easily, that we feel in a state of perpetual anxiety about it. We have learned a very expensive lesson, and would never purchase this wood if we had a chance to do it all over again. This job went excellent. We considered 3 other flooring companies including Costco's flooring service. Several factors went into our choice of Atlas: 1) we first considered the number of highly favorable reviews on Angie's List; 2) we met with Sandy Cheatham, salesperson at Atlas who took a close interest in our job and worked personally with us on choices of flooring, special considerations, scheduling and follow up; 3) we were impressed with the wide selection of choices in the show room; and 4) the pricing was very good, with sales markdowns and whole-house credits. We were first looking at laminate wood flooring to replace all the carpet. Now we are very glad that we upgraded to engineered wood (maintenance free). Now we have the gorgeous, variable-width Lakeside wood floors that are colored a rich medium brown with beautiful grain. The kitchen and bath areas have very pretty coordinating ceramic tile. On our own, we decided to replace the baseboards with a higher, sculpted choice from Lowe's. The installer, Gyo and his crew, are master craftsman who obviously take pride in their work. They were extremely nice and accommodating and worked closely with us on handling our furniture, and timing each room. The installation was first class, and they were right there with any last punch-out details. I highly recommend Atlas for remodel flooring

The shower looks beautiful. Atlas had removed the carpet in the bathroom and installed tile instead. We were able to get the same tile for the walls. I designed my tile layout with a border, seat, soap dish and a niche for my shampoo. I chose Atlas because they use the best waterproof system (Schluter membrane). We wanted to make sure there were no issues with leakage since our shower is on the second floor. Everything seems good and it is so easy to get in and out of the tub. We also had hand rails installed for safety for the future. Their installer, Paul, did excellent work and always went the extra mile to make sure his workmanship reflected his skill. My experience went great. They did a very good job. They matched the carept with the rest of the house as best as they could. They had a full crew of workers and were on time and effective. They went the extra mile to make sure we were satisfied. I was very happy with the work done.

Sherry was a patient and extremely knowledgable sales person. She understood our questions and gave us the best options and the best solution. The crew of three installers were well honed. Each had specific strengths and all three worked as a team. Clearly this was no where near their first rodeo!! When they finished the install, they carefully cleaned all residues off baseboards, and polished the wood floor before heading out the door. Beautiful. I love our new flooring!

Estimate, price comparable with competition, but liked the wood at competitior.

It took close to four days, but they did an excellent job. The floor prep took longer than anticipated but I'm glad they took the time to get the substrate ready. The entire team from the sales to the installers were very easy to work with.

It was superior service.But the one thing negative is that the sales person forgot to bring out our free rug shampoo and receipt,and we are never out that way to pick up.We feel it should have been brought to us.

The carpet took 1 day and the court took 2 days. There was a follow up and scheduled and appointment this Thursday for the representative who sold it to us to actually even come out just to make sure everything was good. We used them a couple of time.

So far all is well. Great service and advice. We will finalize the work to be completed next week.

Sherry met us when we walked in, and was very helpful with suggestions and her knowledge of different flooring types. We set up an appointment for her to visit our house and work up a bid. She arrived right on schedule with her car loaded down with samples that we had picked out. Sherry was great again giving us honest feed back on what she thought might look best. After receiving the bid, we started wavering whether to change out the flooring, because we were putting our home up for sale, we honestly hated putting out that kind of money only to hear potential buyers say that they didn't like the flooring, so we were leaning heavily towards giving a flooring allowance instead. Sherry was understanding to our dilemma, and was gracious enough to back away and not press the issue. This went on for four weeks, while we were having other projects completed on the house. Knowing a decision had to be made we finally got off the fence and called Sherry telling her that we wanted the flooring done. As stated earlier, we were working with several different professionals trying to bring the house to market, but must say that none matched the professionalism of the Atlas Flooring crews. Both the crew that put in the vinyl and a second crew that came in a few days later and installed the carpet, arrived on time, were courteous, and they tried their absolute best to minimize the disruption to our household. The flooring turned out great. Both crew's attention to small details did not go unnoticed and was much appreciated by these homeowners. Yeah, you can probably get your flooring somewhere else and save some money, but this is one instance where I truly believe the extra money spent was worth every penny. I would not hesitate using Atlas Flooring in the future, nor would I hesitate recommending this excellent company to our friends.

It went very well. I got a good price on the material. Their installers were pretty good. I was happy overall with everything. My issue with almost all contractors or subcontractors is that a lot of them do not leave the job as clean as it should be but that is almost the congenital defect with these guys. You must have to beg them to really clean up but they do hard work. What I care most about is getting a really good installation and cleanup. They all say that they do a great cleanup but at the end of the day, they are all tired and they come to do the job and then they start to ignore how much stuff is not done really well, but I would not call them up and complain about it. The installation was very good. I would use them again in the future as long as the price is right.

All the process went very smoothly. From the help and attention we received when picking out the floor and through the entire installation. Right on schedule.

The job went great. Luis and his team showed up on time every day and worked well into the late afternoon/early evening to try and complete the job as quickly as possible. Went over everything with me the first day to make sure we were on the same page for what was expected and kept me up to date with what was completed and planned after each day. Tile looks great, the work performed by this company was topnotch and I plan on using them again when it comes time to replace the carpet on the second floor.

From the begining we dealt with sales associate, Sandy Cheatham. She provided excellent advice and support in helping us pick out our floor covering. Initially, we were unsure of whether to go with wall to wall carpet or hardwood floors. Sandy patiently worked with us while we vacillated back and forth between the two choices, offering the many options Atlas Floors had available. When we finally decided on the hardwood floor she visited our home, took measurements, advised us on the layout of the wood and answered all our questions. Thereafter, a team of two installers arrived as scheduled and and completed the job in two days. Sergio, the lead installer, and his assistant worked dilligently and displayed excellent craftmanship in their installation tasks. They were very conscientious in all their work. When they were moving some very heavy antique furniture out of our living room I offered to help but they were insistent that they should do it-- and they did it very carefully. When they were installing the wood on one of our living room steps (sunken living room) I didn't like the appearance. Sergio didn't hesitate to tear out the installation and reinstall to my satisfaction. After the installation was complete which finished up late evening on the second day I found a few minor things that need correcting the next morning. Sandy sent the team out again and they cheerfully made the corrections and told me not to hesitate to call if I found anything else. Afterwords, Sandy came out to inspect the floor and helped us choose an area rug from Atlas. We were very happy with the service Atlas Floors and especially Sandy provided.

The installers showed up on time, did a little more than was asked of them, and finished the job on time. The tile matched and all is well.

They were great from the salesperson that came out to measure. They were very punctual and polite. The guys that showed up to install the carpet were great and punctual. They did a good job and cleaned up their mess in a very timely manner. They were in and out. It was a good experience.

The salesman was very knowledgeable and they were prompt in providing the service.

Satisfied overall. We changed our minds two or three times on the flooring we wanted. The interesting thing, and possibly the only strange aspect of this process, was the estimate for the job never changed even when we went up and down on the quality of the flooring selected. When we slightly downgraded both the laminate and ceramic flooring we wanted (the final selection) I expected the overall cost to decline, but it did not, and the reason given was "all the extras we've included to you free of charge." I wanted to go back to an earlier selection of a more expensive flooring, but was outvoted by the family who liked the looks of our final selection better. They did the installation professionally and with some flexibility for our schedule. They completed in slightly less time than expected. When we found a couple of flaws in the flooring, they were quick to repair it to our satisfaction. Very friendly folks to work with, although our salesman was sometimes hard to reach by phone and did not always call back when promised prior to my signing the contract. After we signed, they were very attentive to our needs.

Very smoothly. The salesperson was extremely helpful and processed the order quickly. The installation crew was professional and clean. The installation crew went above and beyond to make sure I was happy and even installed carpet in a closet that hadn't been previously quoted, simply because I had a lot of carpet left over, and they said they wanted in to look good. I will definitely use Atlas Floors Carpet One for all my flooring needs from now on.

My washer overflowed and flooded my home, so the work was covered by insurance. I obtained quotes from three companies and Atlas was not lowest bid, however they were competitive. They came to my home several times to do evaluations and assessments. They were very patient because I took a long time making a decision. I wanted to be sure that the wood and tile I chose was the one I truly liked. Veronica would rework a quote for us based on each different sample. When I finally did choose the tile and wood I wanted the crews that came and did the work were very professional. All of the workmen were very respectful, professional and patient, in and out and very skilled. Both at the sales and the installation it was all a very good experience. Best of all I am VERY pleased with my new flooring!

The people that performed the work was on time and finished the work when expected. If there was a flaw that needed to be looked at, Carpet One responded very quickly and fixed the issue with no questions asked. This company focuses on customer satisfaction, reputation and quality.

Our sales consultant, Sandy was great. She worked with us and helped us find the tile that met our needs for the wet areas of the home. Installation was prompt and went smoothly. Finished job looks great. Will absolutely use again, in fact we are going to use Atlas Flooring to replace the carpeting on our stairs. Would not think of going anywhere else.
