Aramendia Plumbing Heating & Air

We had a lot of mold in a particular drain. It was causing drain issues and was also the primary drain for the AC. I had pulled out quite a bit of it with an auger, but I was concerned it could cause problems in the future. The technician inspected it, and could not see any evidence of a continuing drainage issue. They did pour some chemical down the drain to help with any residual and suggested we keep an eye on it. We really appreciate their time, and candidness regarding work that did not need to be done. It was nice not having someone do work for no reason.

I had them replace the faucet because I needed a different type to be able to hook up my portable dishwasher. The work was done satisfactorily, but I found them to be on the pricey side, so I'm not sure I would use them again.

Bob and Thomas came out to diagnose the cause of our low water pressure and provide us with a free estimate. Once they were sure that we needed to replace our PRV, I asked them to complete the work. They replaced our PRV and added an expansion tank to our water heater. They completely corrected our water pressure issues and also replaced our back hose bib. They even went above and beyond to do their best in finding our PRV without tearing up unecessary portions of our lawn (because a previous plumbing company had buried the access hole under a foot of dirt and grass). I can't begin to explain how happy we are with the work they did, we're so thankful! Bob and Thomas also provided information on maintaining our current system and options for things they can assist us with in the future. I wasn't just looking for someone to fix our problem, I was also looking for a trusted advisor that I could use for any future needs...I found them here! They took the time to explain our systems and answer my questions. Bob and Thomas were great and I plan to refer them to anyone I know that needs plumbing help. I had looked at other companies before Aramendia, but all of them seemed ready to do the work, without any real effort to diagnose the problem first. I wanted someone who could give me a good feeling that replacing the PRV would fix my problem, before I committed to a couple hundred dollars worth of work. I'm extremely greatful my neighbor recommended Bob and Thomas, they actually saved me at least $200 over another estimate I had received.

Showed up on time and replaced an older commode and while they were there I asked them to repair a leaking faucet in my shower. Did both jobs very quickly, however I did have to call them back the next day on the commode. It seems that I had a defective seal in the commode that caused the commode to add a little water every few minutes. When I called they came out right away and repaired. Very good service and no additional charge.

The two man crew came within the designated time, gave me an itemized estimate for the work needed, and worked together efficiently to replace the old faucets and rebuild both toilets. They were good about letting me know when the water was going to be cut off and about cleaning up after the work was done. Later that evening, I found a minor leak under each sink where the drain pipe joined the bowl. When I called the next day, Aramendia scheduled a time that was convenient for me for the crew to come back to re-do the pop-up work. When it became apparent that the Moen pop-ups that came with the faucet sets wouldn't seal properly with the slightly irregular drain holes in my sinks, they found different parts that worked to stop the leaks. I was very pleased with their prompt response and their taking the time to find the right parts to solve the problem. Although the work was more expensive than I had anticipated when I called them out, I felt the quality of the work and of the customer service was worth it. As a repeat customer, I did get a discount on the toilet repairs, which helped with the price.

Since I only have one bathroom and the toilet broke the night before, I was anxious to get it fixed as soon as possible the next morning. Aramendia was able to come out right away. The cost to fix the old toilet was too high, and since it was over 25 years old and not very efficient in using water, it made more sense to replace with a new toilet. Not having the chance to price or research toilets, I was a little skeptical having to go with the one option they offered, but I have been very pleased with its efficiency and functionality this past year. The whole process only took 1.5 hours. I would not hesitate to use Aramendia again, especially for an emergency call.

The service was excellent. They were on time and right on the estimate. Quality of work was outstanding. I would use them at my home or at work.

I had the clogged drain located and the pipe disconnected ready for the plumber. The plumbing tech blew out the clog. We were done in 10 minutes.

I thought the price was excessive especially since I had my own replacement parts. The work itself was satisfactory but it took them forever to complete the paperwork so I could pay. The other thing I didn't like was that I was required to put my birthday as well as my TX driver's license on the check. The explanation they gave me was "the company requires it." In this day of identity theft I do not like providing nonessential information about myself. I have used this company in the past but will find someone less expensive in the future.

They offer a guarantee on the work because the unit itself is guaranteed through them. I have been using them for over a year now.

I use them from time to time and I am happy with them. They have been prompt, on time and up front. They haven't tried to gouge me for different repairs.

Walked in my front door on a Saturday night to find a pool of water in the front entry. Soon found out the water was dripping from the attic - the safety pan under the central AC unit was overflowing, the drain clogged. After scooping out and hauling down six mop buckets of water (!) I turned off the AC and went to bed. Early Monday morning I called Aramendia due to the high ratings from Angie's List. I was not disappointed! Office staff was friendly, efficient and professional. They called me back to verify someone was on the way. A serviceman arrived without delay and got right to work on the situation. He explained to me clearly what had happened, what needed to be done, how much it was going to cost and how long it would take. Very professional, courteous and knew exactly what he was doing. He offered me a service contract - twice a year inspection of the AC/Heat to make sure all was functioning properly - and I jumped on it. Peace of mind! The entire thing took less than 40 minutes. In all, this was a great ending to an unfortunate beginning. Really impressed with Aramendia. These guys are for real!

One of the water heaters Aramendia replaced was havining intemittent pilot light issues. I called them and they were very punctual and professional. They drained the heater, replaced the faulty part, and covered it under warranty even though the heater was over one year of age. Very nice, checked my pressure and gave me feedback on my water softner. Offered for additional opporutnities. I am always happy to use this company. Really like the level of expertise of their staff and they always send at least two folks out.l

ne other pl. Did an excellent job of running an entire check on the unit out side and inside. They will come to check out my heater in early fall. I have used them before and am happy to be back with them. They are great at coming fro repairs that happen--haven't had that this years, but in the past when I needed them they came. In addition I have used them for plumbing repairs and I think they are outstanding. Their trucks have all the supplies and equipment needed to do all sorts of A/C/and plumbing repairs, so they don't have to return at another time with the correct replacement part.

They arrived on time and were very professional. We bought a new faucet from them and had it installed that day. Carlos found the tree root problem in the same place as our local plumber and recommended the same fix. We went with Aramendia because the local plumber overcharged us several hundred dollars on labor to fix a leak and install a new water heater ($1300.00 and the water heater cost under $400). I was thrilled to find a plumber willing to come to Pleasanton and even more thrilled to find an honest, reputable company that I can call on in the future. The fix for the tree roots involved tunneling under the foundation and making the repairs. Aramendia got the permit, scheduled the tunnelers, fixed the problem, scheduled the city inspectors visit, and filled the tunnel and hole. Wayne was excellent in explaining the process to me and letting me know what to expect. The work was excellent, the workers came when scheduled and did what they said they would. I strongly urge Aramendia to advertise in our local paper, we have just a couple options for plumbers and, as mentioned, the bigger one severely overcharges on the labor hours. 11/3/14 Edited to add: When they did the tunneling, we paid to join their "preferred" list mainly because it saved us on the tunneling and the amount saved more than paid for the membership. The membership includes inspection of the heat pumps (we have two), water heater flush and a general inspection of all the stuff to spot little problems before they get big. We've had some health issues and I forgot about the check-ups. Aramendia called me to schedule the heat pump inspection which was great. No problems were found although one of the heat pumps is 21 years old now and I was told that it probably wouldn't last a lot longer. So, great service, good follow up and no problems discovered on the inspection. Congeals my belief that his is an honest, reputable company.

Successfully fixed the problem. Quick and easy. Not cheap, though.
