Aramendia Plumbing Heating & Air

Shortly before noon, on 03/23/07, I saw water coming out under my garage door. I went in the garage and found water leaking from the heater enclosure. I turned the main water off, shut off the heater and called Aramendia. I got an estimate; she said it would be about an hour. They arrived a little after 1:00; removed the old heater; and put in the new one. They explained why they replaced the old valves (mostly code compliance) and did the necessary checks to ensure there were no leaks. Jason and his assistant, Mike, were courteous and thorough. Jason answered every question I asked. This is the third time I used Aramendia, and they always do great work!

Technicians were delayed a bit but once they arrived the problem was diagnosed (there was a leak) and our options explained along with costs involved. We could either replace the water heater or replace the valve from which the leak appeared to be coming. Technician said water heater could not be warranted due to age of unit. Both technicians were extremely polite and took care with our property. They also told us that the unit did not have excessive sediment buildup.

Scott and Carlos were very, very friendly and seemingly efficient. Performed test to determine that I did have shower pan leak causing the mold seen on adjoining wall. Pulled up corner of carpet to see water coming through wall. I didn't understand that I would need another contractor to fix that problem since they don't do tile work. Would have helped when I called in to service describing possible shower pan leak even though the test was described to me. Gave me an estimate for additional testing of leaks for slab even though I understood price was for all testing since I reported another problem in other part of the house.

Called and they had someone out the same day. Diagnosed a problem with the hot water heater, they had a spare in the truck, and installed it right away.

All employees I dealt with were knowledgeable and professional.

I initially called another company (Friday night) which I had used previously, and they agreed to come early Saturday morning. Saturday about 11:00 am they called and said they could not come until Monday. I checked Angie's list and found ARAMENDIA listed on top. I called Aramendia about 11:30 am, and they agreed to come right out. Aramendia arrived within the hour, listened to my description of the problem and found the leak. They then gave me an estimate of cost and time to repair the leak. Aramendia workers repaired the leak by rerouting the water supply line. They cleaned up very well before they left, and we have had no problems since.

These folks are great! Timely, knowledgeable, courteous and explained everything they were doing. Well worth the investment. Cost was reasonable. Very satisfied! Would call these folks back.

They worked until 8 PM that night in some of the coldest rainy weather we have had this season. We were so appreciative of their work and willingness to stay with the job on a Friday night.

The plumber located the problem and replaced the thermocouple within about 15 minutes. The gas company suggested that this may be a problem. The water heater was still under warranty, but I still had to pay an outrageous service call. I don't think you should have to pay a service call for a water heater that was installed by this company and is still under warranty. Update 2/19/07: They have refunded my charges in full. Since they did a good job repairing the water heater, and refunded the entire amount due to the warrantee service, I would like to change the report I posted on Angie's List to reflect their excellent service.

They performed the work in a clean and timely manner. I was pleased with their response and with the job they did.

I had a leak in a water pipe outside my house. I called a plumber I had used in the past and was asked to wait until the next day. I called Aramendia at 8 AM and they stated a price estimate and an approximate arrival time. Patsy called at 9:45 to say they were on the way (WOW!). Chris and Vic arrived shortly thereafter, located the leaking pipe and fixed it very quickly. The pipe had been fixed previously in the same spot and Chris told me how he applied some 90 degree pipe to keep it from happening again. They even informed me to call the water company to not get charged for the water leaking. An excellent visit and we'll definitely being using Aramendia in the future.

Luis and David were friendly, polite, and efficient. They actually came a little sooner than they thought they could and got right at it. Nice guys. Great job. It's never fun to have to spend money on repairs. I would have rather had an iPod for the money, but at least I can shower again!

It went well. The plumber was very informative about what work he was performing, and the reason for the work. He gave a very detailed explanation about the leak and how it was to be repaired. The plumber and helper were courteous.

Performed on 11/15/06 and as of 12/4/06 all is okay. Previously here on 11/7/06 and unable to find leak after a good deal of testing. This charge and payment was rebated on the bill of 11/15.

The job went very well. We had Master Plumber, Wade leading the job and everything went very well considering the amount of work. There were actually two re-routes performed. One was the master bedroom and the other was the kitchen area. They had to re-route plumbing from the hot water heater area through the attic. They also installed a new water softener. They were very good about minimal damage to the house when doing the leak detection work and the re-route. They minimized the sheet rock and dry wall invasion and were very clean while working. They also cleaned up after themselves.

They called before arriving. They were exactly on time as promised. They gave me credit for having dug up repair area myself, so total was well under estimate. Top quality work by friendly and professional workers. I will definitely use them again.

Once we called Aramendia, we immediately got a response, even though it was a weekend. They scheduled an apptmt. with us for the next day b/c we told them that it was not an emergency. They gave us an approximate time they would arrive, then called us on our cell phone when they were on their way. They were prompt and quickly assessed the real cause of the damage.

We were so pleased with the incredible response.

Scott came out the same day that I called the company. He and his helper were efficient, professional and courteous. They had to tear up part of our yard in order to replace the valve and cleaned up the area as best they could. We only had to spend a couple of hours without water as the water had to be turned off to do the repair.

I was very pleased with their service. They were clean and neat. I would highly recommend them.

Scott and Jason arrived on time. Phoned to let me know that they were on their way to my home. They were very professional and explained to me what was wrong with the commode, besides leaking. I think the work done was reasonably priced and if necessary, I would call them again.

Quick service and work. When pricing gave range, then stated that ''other'' items needed to be serviced, which would have normally been added and then charged higher of the quoted prices. I did not mind, but they should have stated up front all that needed to be done at the higher estimate given. This way if any ''other/extra'' work did not need to be done, then the price could have been lowered. I would use again, but next time I won't count on the lower estimate as being the sale price.

They were quick. The job was clean and neat. They were fast. I liked the service. I did think it was a little pricey though. It was worth it.

Very good. Plumber was on time and very professional. Fixed the problem quickly and with a minimum of disruption to the house. Was conscious of being clean in the kitchen, and considerate to my wife and our baby. The repairs were done with good quality, in a reasonable amount of time, and at the price I was quoted prior to the service call. Overall, I am very pleased.

Mark and David arrived on time, was given a half hour window and they arrived in the middle of it. They explained what they were doing the entire time to me, so I knew exactly what was going on. The leak was under a rosebush and they started to find it, without trimming until I offered the option of trimming. Explained that the leak was caused by a pipe breaking, when the house shifted, so used a telescopic coupling to allow for more shifting to occur. I had a question about the back shower, and Mark came in and looked at it and explained how I could fix it, since it wasn't a part that they carried. They cleaned up the driveway before they left.
