We have used Armendia several times in the past. They are prompt, have competent technicians and charge only a reasonable amount. Should we need air conditioner service again in the future, Armendia will get the call.Rocking L Ranch

When the issue was determined, they found that the equipment that was needed was not on the truck. They called to have the equipment delivered, but someone else had it on their truck. Guess they only have one of them or something.They rescheduled the work for Tuesday at 5:30.I got a call about 2pm and was told they were on a job that would take at least 5 hours and they wanted to reschedule for Wednesday. WE rescheduled for Wednesday between 1 and 3, then got a call about 2pm to say they would be at least 2 or 3 more hours on the current job. By that time we had had enough and cancelled the call. We will find someone else. You would think that there was only one crew to do the work. I took off work on Monday afternoon to be here, then left work early on Tuesday to be here also. SOrry, but my time is as valuable as the plumbers time.

I know he was rated highly in Angie’ List. He has 130 reviews. He did not charge extra for weekends or emergencies. They came out and took care. They were just excellent and superb.

Aramendia sent a out Matt as promised on June 5 in the afternoon. According to my husband, Matt arrived, looked at the compressor, checked a few things and told my husband that the freon level was 3 pounds low. Their charge for the first pound of freon was $185 and then some amount that ended up totaling $350. According to the bill, we were only charged for the freon and not the troubleshooting or the service call. When I asked my husband about what had caused the freon to leak (we had been in our house for 2 years with no problems), he told me that Matt only added the freon and that if we wanted him to find the cause of the low refrigerant, it would cost us an additional $180 to determine the cause of the leak. My husband chose not to pay the additional charge. Matt also told us that our A/C unit was old (about 20 years) and they don't work on them but he provided us with quotes for installing 3 different new units ranging in price from $6,000 to $9,000. The A/C continued to cool the house without a problem until the evening of Sunday, June 10 around 8:30 pm. We came back home after a 30 minute walk with our dogs to find our home too warm. Again, the fan was blowing but the compressor was not running. My husband turned the unit off for about 10 minutes, did not find any frozen coils and when he turned the unit back on, the compressor was working again without a problem and ran all night and the next day until about 2:30 pm. On Monday, June 11, my husband asked his co-workers if they could recommend an A/C company. He called the man who said he would call us at 10:00 and come look at it. When he arrived, he checked the compressor, found the coolant about 1/2 lb low but after checking the compressor and condensor units, said he couldn't see any other problems with it. He then asked us about our thermostat and asked if we had it checked yet. The digital thermostat was newly installed in February 2012 as part of CPS energy savings. Yesterday, we had the thermostat replaced with a new one even though the service man didn't see a problem with the one that we had. My biggest complaint about Aramendia has to do with the price they charged us for the refrigerant. The 2nd gentleman that came told us he felt bad when he charged $35 per pound for the refrigerant and Aramendia charged us $185 for the first pound!!!! Talk about highway robbery!!! I intend to call Aramendia and complain about the outrageous amount we were charged but I expect that they will not agree to refunding any of our money.

They have always given us very good service. There was no charge because it was part of the maintenance plan we have. They went ahead and did for free since we've use them so often, which was nice. The time before that, they reignited the pilot light on the water heater and they didn't charge then either. Before that we used them on November 20th of last year to unclog a drain under the house. They are very quick. They come out when they say they are going to come out. They finish it within an hour or two. Even some of the larger stuff, they take care of it quickly. They bring one or two guys. The pricing so far for me has been very affordable. They provide with a ten percent discount if we are a repeated user. They accept credit card payments. They are always there on time. They are very good. They are quick to answer their phones and they are always very helpful in regards to making sure that the job gets taken care of. I recommend them all the time.

They came out and found more problems than anticipated due to someone routing the water through some pvc pipe that looped around but didn't go back to the supply line. They fixed the problems and filled in the holes so that the entire lawn didn't look as if it had been dug up. They did an excellent job and the price quoted was what was charged despite the additional work.

VERY WELL, DO THINK THAT THE TOTAL PRICE WAS HIGH; HOWEVER, THEIR REPONSE TIME AND POLITENESS WAS VERY GOOD.

Overall...I would highly recommend Michael and his assistant, and "1st Call Plumbing Heating and Air LTD". Their staff were professional, knowledgeable and very courteous. Thank you for your outstanding job performance!!

had a free air condition check uo per manager because of previous misunderstanding. The technician was on time, he was courteous and friendly. everything checked out ok, was very satisfied with the service.

We are trying to sell our house and needed some repair work to satisfy the new buyers. We didn't have time to get multiple quotes and Aramendia was able to get out quickly to do the job. After completing the new plumbing work, they were supposed to meet the inspector on Monday to complete the job. On the following Thursday morning, we hadn't heard from them so we contacted them to find out when this was going to be completed. We had a sale that was counting on getting this completed. The woman who contacted me back (don't know her name because she never introduced herself) said that the inspection happened on Monday and it passed and they now needed to go back out to complete the job. I asked why the job wasn't completed on Monday when the service guy was there to meet the inspector and she said that it "not how it's done". I then asked if they would be replacing the drywall (this wasn't clarified before hand) and she put me on hold a moment and told me no, but that they could refer us to a contractor. I politely told her that I wasn't happy with the service that her company provided and therefore wouldn't trust a recommended contractor. After working out the details of getting the service guy out to finish the job, she rudely ended the call by hanging up. No thank you's or good bye's. I can't speak to the quality of the work done as I'm out of state, but the lack of customer service and the high price for what was done will not allow me to recommend this company to anyone.

I use them about 2 or 3 times a year. The price was a little high, but that was no problem. They've done everything for us.

The two gentlemen who responded to my call on a Saturday arrived as quickly as they could but it felt like a very long wait for me. They were extremely professional and courteous, making sure to protect my carpet by putting on their booties. The assessment of the situation was what I expected. A leak in the slab. The recommendation and estimate were presented to me with the advice to call other companies for estimates. I did as they recommended and did receive a different assessment and bid which I went with this time. I would still recommend this company due to their professionalism and variety of services.

I found this company on Angie's List and decided to use them for service to repair a leak at my home. They were professional and knew what they were doing. They completed the job quickly. I had a good experience but felt the price was a little high.

Within an hour or so of my calling, they were able to send repairmen (Michael and Joe) even though this was not an emergency! One toilet flushed fine except that you had to hold the handle down for awhile to get it to do so. The other had a flapper that was broken, which allowed water to constantly run. Both toilets are Crane. They said they had to "rebuild" the insides using a new stop, supply, flapper, and fill valve. The labor charge was for 0.75 hours. Although the items were listed individually, there was no individual price shown on the receipt, just the total charge of $315.00 and a notation that the price included the Angie's List discount. there is a 90-day warranty. They also did a complete check of all plumbing in the house for free, and provided me with a check list showing the results and the approximate cost of recommended repairs. Those costs were pretty steep, but the recommendations, as they pointed out, were all prophylactic, e.g., replace water heaters because they're old (but they still work). Replacing 2 hose bibs would be much cheaper if done with another plumbing repair than if done by themselves. Michael and Joe were quite efficient, pleasant, and even our dog liked them! The caller id number said Aramendia Plumbing, so I asked why and it turns out they are owned by different Aramendia brothers so they're different companies but are basically the same except 1st Call Plumbing is usually a little cheaper. I'll use them again. As it turned out, I had to call them back the next day because one of the toilets was making a funny noise like it was starting to flush sometimes when I sat on it and once as I stood at the sink and no one was on it! Michael and Joe returned and determined that there was just a tiny speck of calcium buildup which caused it to let a little water through on occasion, so they removed it. (I couldn't make it do it while they were there!) Later it happened again, and they offered to replace the toilet giving me credit for the repair work I'd already paid for on it, but I elected not to because I plan to redo the bathroom in the next few years and will replace the Crane toilet with a Koehler toilet then. They were wonderful about coming back out at no charge and I felt their offer of replacement was quite fair. Good folks!

We needed some minor plumbing services done at our house. I called this company because I had heard them advertise on a local radio station. They showed up about 4 hours after I had called. When I showed them what we wanted, i.e. fix a leaking kitchen faucet and leaking toilet, they tried to sell me a new faucet and wanted to charge over $300 just to re-seed the toilet, not even mentioning the repair of the gasket that was causing the toilet to leak. They gave me an estimate of over $700 for both repairs. This was way above our budget. I had the work done by another plumber a week later for a total of $300. This included a new faucet and a new toilet.

I have used Aramendia before for a new water heater and heating and A/C unit. My past experiences have been positive so I decided to call them even though it was 5 PM on a Saturday. They arrived when stated at about 7:30, gave me estimates for repairs and replacement. They also explained what problems might arise (of course it did, but I wasn't really surprised). They had to correct a problem that had been in place since the home was built. That raised the total over $300 but it was necessary. The job took about 1 1/2 hours. The 2 gentlemen were efficient, quiet and well mannered. I was again pleased with the work by Arremendia and will use them again in the future.

Aramendia has been great in responding to any concerns we have had. I would definitely recommend them to other people.

We've used Aramendia before with no problems, so called them in the morning to repair a noisy/leaky commode, replace 2 bathroom sink drain stoppers, and check out a "gurgling" bathroom sink drain at our home. The receptionist was very helpful and scheduled a team to arrive between 12-4pm that same day, and indicated they would call before arriving. As promised, the plumber, Manuel Carbajal, and his helper, James, called before arriving just after noon. Manuel began by surveying the work we needed and gave us an estimate before proceeding. We decided it would make more economical sense to replace the commode versus repair, and fortunately Manuel had a new Kohler commode in his work truck. Manuel and James were both very professional. They worked steadily for 4 hrs replacing the commode, replacing the 2 drain stoppers, and unclogging the "gurgling" bathroom sink. They were very good about not making a mess and cleaning up after doing the work. Manuel also offerred to do a free inspection of all our house plumbing which we declined. They did accept credit card payment. We'll definitely go back to Aramendia for our plumbing needs.

The Professors of Plumbing! Jacob Casanova and Bob were the Best. Extremely knowledgable. I would have paid more just for the exceptional customer service, but I didn't have to. Very Reasonably priced service and product installed. First Class job across the board. In a day when most poeple just don't give a d*** anymore about quality or customer service, Aramendia is doing something right. And no cost to just come out and access the situation.

We called Aramendia plumbing due to their favorable reviews. They came promptly and discussed in detail our options concerning our plumbing issues. We had a valve pressure regulator installed and had to also replace our water heater that had started to develop a small leak. The technician brought this to our attention. Really grateful we caught the problem before it became a major and potentially dangerous situation. The work was done that day and the end results have been most satisfactory. The new water heater is a much more durable and has a high quality appearance our water pressure is noticeably less and we've saved a bit on our water bill. The workmanship was solid.

They were very good, professional and punctual.

One of our AC units was not cooling. We called Aramendia. They did arrive quickly, as promised. They found a coolant leak in the AC condenser which they showed me. However, the technician then proceeded to tell me that recharging the system with coolant alone would cost $1500, and that it would also require replacing the condenser itself and the evaporator slab, for a total of $5840. In fact, he suggested that the best route would be to just replace that complete AC system, at a cost of $5410 to $6263. Of course, he also offered an extended warranty for an additional $565. I suspected I was being gouged, so I called Tex-Perts for a second opinion. Although it took them a few hours to arrive (I did call relatively late in the day), the technician found the same leak quickly, repaired it and recharged the system with coolant. The repair took about one hour. The cost of the repair was only $769. We also opted to add a start kit for an additional $195. At no point did this technician suggest that the entire AC unit needed to be replaced. The unit started cooling our home immediately. Had we not called Tex-Perts for a second opionion, Aramendia would have charged us at least 600% more!

The overall experience was excellent. They were punctual, responsive, and professional. They are quite expensive but are probably in line with other plumbers.They are very good.

Both young men were very professional, wore "booties" when they came into my house so as not to track in dirt and mud, and explained the various processes to me. I have used them in the past, and will continue to use them in the future. My only complaint is that their discount coupons do not apply on holidays or weekends, and of course, my problem occurred on a Saturday!

They were prompt in responding to my call - came the same afternoon. They dug up the yard and located the problem. However, without asking they also installed a new shut-off valve. When I asked about the new shut off (which I saw after they installed it), they said they did it because the old one by the meter didn't have a handle. However, I had a handle that we have used for the purpose in my garage. They didn't ask - just did that part of the work. Overall, they did a good job and the price was what they quoted.
