It was a great experience and I'm very happy and will call Chris when I need computer work done again. He called when he was on his way and very professional when he got here. He not only got the virus removed but also installed 2 updates for me. I would highly recommend him. Thank you Angie's List!

He was available by phone before and after. When he checked our computer out, he explained our choices and the costs associated with them. He was easy to work with (spoken by a tech dinosaur!).

Christopher Lindley, the technician, came at the appointed time. He answered all my security questions and helped me with the set-up of passwords. Then he investigated the slowness of my computer and found several problems. He suggested to buy some additional memory for my hard drive, which I did. It improved the down load time of items considerably. He also suggested Carbonite as my back up site for my large picture collection and all my other files. When I agreed to the suggestion, he set it up for me. Mr. Lindley told me I could call him if I had another problem and he followed up his visit with an e-mail. I was very pleased with his work.

I am Gate Manager for my 1,000 resident HOA and we have 3 entrances to the neighborhood, each with gates, barrier arms and cameras. We have an ongoing problem of broken barrier arms and rely on the video images of the licenses of the vehicles to collect on damages. Although the system installed used equipment recommended by our gate company, we were able to identify only 50% of the offending vehicle licenses. Based on information on Angie's List, I called Chris Lindley of Appstar Technologies and described the problem. Although it was not one he had worked previously, he researched the issue and recommended the installation of supplemental hardware which we had him purchase and install. We are now identifying 95% of the vehicle licenses. The others are either covered with mud or blocked by a trailer. I've used Appstar (Chris) 3 or 4 times during the last 2-3 years. He comes to you well prepared based on what you can tell him over the phone. Very savy and up to speed on the latest problems. Pleasant to work with and very fair pricing.

He claimed he could do the work in my home. In reality, he wasn't able to do the work in my home. When he was done I wasn't able to get online. When I called the service provider I wasn't able to get ahold of them.

A very good experience. I was expecting a large fee above and beyond the Angie's list deal. It was a more than reasonable fee for the amount of time spent. What's more is the repairman was patient and answered all of my questions/concerns.

He made sure both laptops were working good before he left.

Hard drive crashed. Chris responded in a timely manner. Replaced the hard drive and got me up and running in a very short period of time at a reasonable cost. He knew I was upset about losing the photos and some other data on the computer that I had not backed up anywhere. He said he would try to recover it all for me. After reconciling myself to losing the photos I got a call from Chris in Jan telling me that he had purchased a new recovery program and had just let it run all this time (from Sep to Jan) and he had successfully recovered my photos and all the other data from my old hard drive. I was delighted. He only charged $550 for the data recovery (sounds like a lot but is actually very reasonable). I can highly recommend Appstar Technologies. Chris is very professional, knowledgable and reliable, and is willing to go WAY above and beyond to give the customer what she needs. I would definitely call him again.

Chris came to my house and picked up my laptop. He removed a virus and then rebuilt the computer. Upon returning it, he even spent and hour on the phone with ATT U-verse getting my internet working (problem was on their end) and had no obligation to me to do that. Chris is thorough, quick, and honest.

I called Chris on Saturday morning about my laptop. He came over and picked it up. The next day, he called to say he had recovered the data and could rebuild the computer. I had literally thousands of photos that I feared were lost forever, but Chris was able to recover everything.
