Alamo Water Softeners

Fantastic Service. We had an in home consultation for pricing and types of softeners available.. He was very professional and knowledgeable. Our house was not plumbed for a water softener. This required for AWS to put in pipes from the street to the house to bring the house up to code for the plumbing prior to the install. The price of the install and equipment stayed the same even though there clearly was going to be some extra steps involved in our particular install. We also had a reverse osmosis system installed for free with the purchase of the softener. The gentlemen who came to do the install were unbelievably organized and fast. The entire job was completed in 1 day. We have not had any problems with the system and have had our follow up visit to check settings and salt use. The cost of the install while more than I was expecting was fair considering the amount of work that had to be done. I do not feel we were over charged at all. The quality of the work done far exceeds the upfront cost. We payed cash and got a discount for this as well as the Angie's list discount and the reverse osmosis was free with the softener system. They did an amazing job and I have recommended them to several of our friends.

Everything went great. We had an initial consultation in which Allen talked to us about different options and answered our many questions. He was very professional and knowledgeable. The installation went smoothly. The installer arrived on time and completed the work neatly. He explained how everything worked. We recently had a follow-up where the company looked at the system and tested our water to make sure the softener was working correctly. We are very happy with the softener and reverse osmosis system.

From the first phone call I made, through the initial consultation in my home from Allen Townsend, to the installation of the equipment, this was one of the most professional and friendly purchases I haave ever made. The price and the warranty was outstanding. I am so impressed that all materials are manufactured in the USA, and I look forward to thoroughly enjoying my new "soft" water for years to come! Hopefully I will see a decrease in the amount of water and supplies that my appliances will use.

I had bought a water softener thru Discount Water Softeners on the internet and thought I saved a lot of money but 6 months later, the control head would not stop draining. I called Alamo Water Softeners and Henry came out, took apart the control head and found the problem right away. The cheap control heads sold on the internet are made in China despite having a made in USA sticker, and are made to break. Henry was able to replace just the control head after we ordered it and I now have a quality water softener that will last many years. Don't make the same mistake I did!! Do not buy water softeners on the internet!! Call Alamo Water Softeners and get it done right the first time. Henry is the BEST!

They were very good to work with and the technician did a good job. They were johnny on the spot and everything is working well still. It took about a half a day to complete the work. The price was in line with other companies I looked at.

Extremely well. All of the people I dealt with were very knowledgeable, polite and professional. Probably one of the best customer service experiences I have had. As an engineer, I was interested in some of the details on the equipment. Not only was every thing explained, I was given options with additional information for me to evaluate the options. The equipment is working well, we notice a big difference in the quality of the water. The equipment we had installed is all made in the USA, which was an important factor for me. Also there is a big difference between what AWS installed and what you can get from stores. We have had those type of units before and they just did not deliver the same water quality that we have now. AWS even did a post installation quality check visit a few days after the installation to make sure everything was working properly. I would strongly recommend AWS for anyone considering installing a water softener.

Trevor came to check on the functioning of the water softener and check the levels of salt and answer questions in regard to the new softener. He checked the valves, salt content on the faucets, and answered all questions. This follow up was done with no prompting and said a great deal about the quality of this company's service and responsiveness to customer care. I appreciated his promptness in responding to questions. Thank you.

Things went great. The tech was 15 minute early. The office had told me the tech would call prior to arriving. AWS did very professional install. I am definitely going to refer my friends to this company.

Allen Townsend arrived precisely at the time he said he would to give me the quote for the system. Since our house is not plumbed for a water softener and we have a detached garage, a line had to be run from the incoming water main, to the garage and back to the incoming water line into the house. A separate line had to be run from the water softener to the drain in our laundry room inside the house. Two additional outside water faucets were also installed so that I still had access to hard water for watering the lawn and landscape plants. The quote was significantly better than the quotes I received from two plumbing firms and included a 5% discount because we are a member of Angie's list. The work was scheduled to be done two days after I received the quote but unfortunately mother nature didn't cooperate and it rained for several days so the outside work couldn't be done. Alamo was constant communication with me regarding rescheduling the work whenever it couldn't be done ( which happen twice). The work was completed on 7/2 in about 4 hours. The installation crew was very professional, did an outstanding job on the installation, and walked me through everything they had done as well as gave me instructions for setting up the water softener. In summary, I have been very pleased with Alamo Water Softeners so far. I fully expect that I will continue to be happy with the water softener and any service Alamo may provide in the future.

They were punctual and very friendly. Come out on time and looked over our water softener. Told us it was indeed working and just needed more salt. Explained about the system and didn't even charge. A+++ for these guys and will DEFINITELY use them in the future for repairs or even an entire replacement system! Great work!

They offered to comeback several times to check and do one of their verifications to see how it is working. I don’t live here so I don’t use it much; I am there a few weekends here and there. I haven’t even called them to comeback and check up to see if it is working right. Their prices were very competitive. I got bid from three contractors from Angie’s List and all were rated well. I didn’t want to pay for stuff that I didn’t need and Alamo was able to cater to what I needed which was a water softener and a reverse osmosis for drinking but I didn’t need to over filtrate for my whole house water with the water softener. They did a good job and gave me what I wanted to my needs and to my specific situation. They were rightly priced because I don’t like it cheaper. They volunteered to come back but I just hadn’t arranged it for months.

Alamo Water Softeners did an outstanding job. I called them first because earlier this year they installed a water filter in my kitchen, and they did a fantastic job. My experience with AWS purchasing the water softener was just as with the water filter: the professionalism, value, quality, and service were all outstanding.

We have had one Kenmore and two Whirlpool Softeners in the last 23 years. The resin in the last Whirlpool was used up in about five years. We met with several companies and decided to go with AWS for a more permanent solution. Allen the owner came out to the house and went over the options. I was surprised to hear the parts are readily available for the unit he sold us, and the resin can be replaced by an AWS representative at a very reasonable cost in a few years. Allen also explained for do it yourselfers all of the maintenance can be done including the resin bead replacement. Bottom line, We met with Allen and had a new system the next week at a substantially lower cost that competing companies that I don't have to mention. Our wafer is back to normal and every appliance in the house from the iron to the dishwasher is thanking us.

I set up an appointment with Allen to provide an estimate. A couple of days Allen showed up right on time and explained his background in the water softener business, a background on his company, and then proceeded to educate me in detail on how water softeners work. Allen was very professional, friendly, and answered all my questions including the ones I never thought to ask. Allen showed me what all my options were and suggested what was probably best for me. I agreed to use AWS and his crew was at my house within a week. The AWS crew was very professional and on time (actually a little early!) . They hooked up a pipe to my existing water pipe running to the house, they ran all the pipes into my garage and laundry room, ran the wires for power, and setup my new water softener. They did an excellent job with the installation and were very fast. I noticed they cleaned up everything around where they working and it was as if they were never there. I think my garage was actually cleaner than when they arrived (thanks for sweeping). The crew boss then explained in detail how my specific softener works and how to use it. They provided all the paperwork such as the manual, invoice, etc. The next day I received a phone call from AWS asking how everything went and I told them excellent. They will come out again in a few weeks to check on my water softener and to make sure I understand how the monitor works as well as answer any questions I may have. Great job all around. I've already given AWS business card to a co-worker who needs one installed.

So far, they are great! Their price is competitive. They are about a thousand dollars less than Culligan. They haven't installed yet because where I live, they have to take the longer way to get the permit. I read all the reviews on the internet. The guy was really prompt, he gave us an estimate, he gave us time to think it over, and so far so good. One of their best features was their communication because when they realized that to get the building permit for us would take longer in my town, they had been great about calling and telling us why they can't come when they said they would come. They were professional and very straightforward. I had the Alamo take a look on our table when he came and he knew I was talking to Culligan, but didn't speak bad of them. He just talked about their product and what they could do. They had a couple of options including one option that wasn't available from Alamo in terms of getting water softeners, but we chose the Alamo based on the price and the options that they gave.

From start to finish, my experience with AWS was amazing! I initially contacted them (and spoke with Trudy) because of some problems I experienced with another company. Trudy was very pleasant and confident her crew members would treat us right. Henry was dispatched and inspected our system in great detail. We immediately noticed a difference in his level of professionalism. During his call, he discovered everything the previous company did was backwards, i.e., the filters were in the wrong places, the top filter was installed incorrectly, there was no membrane present, lines were pinched, there was no water pressure, etc. Henry did NOT try to sell me a new product; however, I elected to have one installed because the previous unit was older and needed a new tank regardless. I am more than pleased with the new system. Furthermore, I'm thankful I've had the opportunity to work with AWS. As a result, they've earned a life-long customer!!! THANK YOU!!!!

I was very impressed with Alamo Water Softeners. Allan did a thorough job on the pre-sales meeting and gave me a lot of information on the different types of water softeners. They were on time for the installation and were in and out quickly. They cleaned up after the job.

They were on time, very professional, and courteous. We had just moved in and had some stuff in the way, but they just moved it over neatly, and installed the system. They gave us information on how to maintain the system. They finished the work pretty quickly and even accepted a discount offer that they had available for Angie's List members.

Allen and his staff are very polite and professional . I consulted with him and another company. Both consultations went well. I decided on Alamo after they answered questions on the differences between their system and the other ( which was twice the price.) I personally didn't feel the differences warranted the price of the other system for me. Three days after the installation I received a call checking on how things were going and offering additional tips and advice. They even asked if I found them on Angie's list. When I said yes she informed me they would send me a refund check for an additional discount . It's wonderful to have a company be so honest ! I was also told they would do one more follow up call in a few weeks to check up on us. I'm very pleased with Alamo and highly recommend them .

Alamo Water Softeners has set the bar high for any future contractor I use. From the first phone call through the sales and scheduling process and ultimately through the installation, everyone was friendly, courteous and very professional. I called to schedule an appointment and to learn more about their particular softener offerings. Allen gave me a brief overview about their services and product offerings; it is comforting to work with professionals who know their stuff. Trevor arrived ON TIME for our sales appointment and provided some additional information and his recommendations in a very low-pressure sales call. Scheduling the time for installation was a breeze. It is actually a pleasure scheduling with Lisa since you feel like you are talking to a friend who just so happens to sell water softeners. Jerry and his crew arrived ON TIME (they also called when they were on their way to let me know exactly what time they would be arriving) and gave me a brief overview of what they would be doing. After 4 hours (they said it would take between 4.5-5 hours), the softener was installed and the guys left no sign around my house they had even done everything; I couldn't have been more pleased. The system is in place, my water is soft and the RO drinking system they installed has instantly turned me into a water snob. It is easy to see why the reviews for Alamo Water Softener have been so positive. Great people. great product, phenomenal execution.

When we first contacted Allen, he called us right back and was very professional when we spoke to him. He came out personally and looked at our system and went over our options. His pricing was very reasonable considering that he had to do extra work in our well house as well as with our water lines inside. The crew that he sent our were very polite and professional. They did an amazing job. They went above and beyond to make everything under the sink and in the well house better than they found it. For example we had another contractor out to run a water line to our refrigerator last year and that contractor ran it under our cabinets where you could see it. AWS ran it behind our cabinets and out of sight, out of mind! For purchasing the water softener we got 200 lbs of salt pellets and the reverse osmosis system for free! We will definitely be using AWS for future service calls and are so happy we found them.

The two men arrived on time, and they did an excellent job with the installation and explanation of how to maintain and use both systems. I had just moved from Arkansas on Friday. I found this company on Angie's List and made the arrangements by phone before arriving. Everything was handled professionally, plus everyone I talked to was very friendly and helpful. This company is small. Father and son and staff that has profit sharing. Honesty and Customer service are their highest priority. They provide all cost detail up front. They schedule timely service. They call to let you know when they will arrive. Install was professional and neat. With all appropriate follow up, education and questions on what they can do better. We as a community need to support small business with superior customer service and great product.

The serviceman worked by himself (his son did help him with easy chores) and even drained the hot water heater so that softened water would be used immediately. I had never been able to truly tell if the old softener was functioning properly and since this installation-- it is quite evident that this system is doing a great job. My only disappointment was that I had been told that someone would check back in the future to make sure that everything was satisfactory. I have not been contacted and wondered if this was just an oversight. In all other aspects this company had obvious confidence in their product.
