Alamo Water Softeners

It went very well. Both workers were very kind, thoughtful, knew what they were doing, considerate of our situation - I LOVED them.

I had called a few other places and assumed that buying a water softener was complicated and expensive. Alamo Water Softeners made the whole process easy and they were significantly cheaper than the competition. The man who helped me was David Carbajal and he took his time to make sure I understood everything and even followed up two months later to test my water and refill my tank. I am extremely happy with the product and the service and would recommend to anyone.

I made arrangements for a quote and the sales rep, David, came out as scheduled. He took pictures and consulted a supervisor as to the installation. He explained there wouldn't be a problem and I agreed to have AWS do the work. David told me I would get a call within a few minutes to arrange a date. After two days and nothing, I sent an email stating that I was disappointed with the company for not calling. I immediately got a call from David who said he was told that calls were made to my number, but it would go straight to voicemail. I asked if that were the case, why wasn't a message left. He had no answer, but said the office would call me shortly. The office rep called back a few moments later and told me she'd been trying to call, but all they've been getting was a busy signal. So which is it? My phone had been receiving calls as usual. I agreed to go forward with the installation and made arrangements to be home. Rick, the owner, called me a few minutes later and apologized. He said we were all set and they would be there Monday. On the day of the installation, the plumbers arrived and had no information about the job or how they would proceed. They said they were only given a drawing. They called Rick and said they were told they couldn't do anything until he worked some things out. I called Rick and he said he was going to meet with his team and that the job would require another permit to move the water heater. He said he was going to re-schedule the install. All this after a consultation, photos, reassurance from the owner and making arrangements to be home from work. This was a waste of time, very unorganized and very unprofessional. I had no more confidence in this company and told Rick I didn't want to re-schedule. I'll go with another company.

I had the system installed in December 2017. Wanted to wait a few months before I posted a review. They came on time and went right to work. They took out my old system and installed the new system. Everything was perfect. The new system is working perfectly and the water taste wonderful. I am very happy with the company and the system. I would definitely recommend them.

Work went well. The service technician was polite, prompt, knew what he was doing, did not cut any corners in installing the unit.

The work was professional, and the product good. I initially had a complaint related to follow-up but "Trevor" the company owner himself came to my residence and acted in such a customer friendly and understanding manner - all complaining is nullified. This is a very conscientious company with a fine product.

Pre-installation site inspection and product offerings with Jason, Alamo Water Softeners' Water Consultant, was thorough and informative, allowing us to easily make an informed decision on whether to proceed with replacing our existing softener, and which Alamo Water Softener would be best for us. Installation was accomplished by an exceptionally efficient and knowledgeable technician, Eddie, who insured the location and configuration of the new softener's resin and brine tanks were satisfactory for us. Installation included replacing most of the indoor copper water lines with PEX supply lines and new shut-off valves. The electronic control valve included with the new softener provides significant system information over the previous softener's mechanical control valve, including displaying a notice when salt needs to be added. Installation included 200 lbs of water softener salt crystals.

Everything is fine. They did a good, professional, fast and complete job. The system seems to be working fine; no problems or complaints.

It took a week to get someone out here. When he came all he did was check the softness of my water and then he left. He told me someone else would be coming out to fix it. I never heard anything else so I called them back and they had no record of my visit. So I rescheduled someone to come out and fix it and they did come out and take care of it finally. I think it was just a miscommunication but it was a little bit frustrating. They did a good job though and I would hire them again

The salesman was professional, friendly, & knowledgeable about his products. The installer was excellent. I feel like I got a better quality system for much cheaper than my previous house (Culligan).

Jason, the salesman, was courteous and punctual. He took the time to explain what I was getting and why to choose their company. Price was reasonable compared to other competitors. At time of installation the office had called to confirm prior to the appointment and the technicians arrival was prompt. The installation was great and looked good afterwards and was installed according to code. The technician was courteous and knowledgeable. I was very pleased with the the process and product.

The Alamo Water Softener professionals were very friendly, punctual and made sure that the work was done right. After the professionals had installed our water softener, they walked us through how to properly maintain the system. We would recommend them to anyone.

They are coming over again to take care of something else. It was a couple of hundred dollars, as I recall. They’re very good. We are very, very pleased with them. They don’t try to do anything else or sale anything else. They are just very professional, very clean. They come in with little booties. The service was an “A”.

Installer showed up and installed system. Only problem is that I was told by the salesman that two outside water bibs would also be installed to allow us to use hard water for gardening, etc. The installer only installed one and would not install the second one. I had to call the office myself and they apologized profusely and assured me that the installer would come back out to install the second water bib in the backyard in two days. That day showed up, no installer. I called and asked if they were coming and was called back by the installer and told he would be out the next day. Next day, no installer. I called and complained and I was told that they didn't do business like that and there must be some issue with that particular installer. Another installer called and made an appointment to come out and install the water bib in the backyard today. You guessed it, no one showed up. I would NOT use this company again. The equipment may work fine but I shudder to think of trying to use the more expensive warranty system they talked me into. I can assume their warranty service will be just as "professional" as their current installation service. I don't care how apologetic you are on the phone, I want you to show up when you say you are going to show up and I want you to install what you said you would install. Think twice before you EVER use this company. I wish I had looked elsewhere.
