Alamo Water Softeners

I had given Jerry's crew access to my leaf-covered garage to install a new water softener and a reverse osmosis unit under my kitchen sink. I left to run an errand, and by the time I got back, everything was installed and they had swept all the leaves from my garage. Will I use Alamo Water again? You bet!

We had a wonderful experience. The staff was friendly and informative. The job was performed in a timely manner for a reasonable price. The staff called to make sure we were satisfied with the job. We are very pleased with the quality and taste of the water in our home.

I felt like AWS walked me through the process very well. I felt comfortable and informed with the free consultation. I was pleased with the lower prices yet, good quality of the products and services. They were able to install the water softner within the next week. I was also put at ease when they were going to take care of installing the plumbing necessary. I was quoted much higher for that service with other companies. I would definitely recommend their services to others.

The initial estimate was conducted on time and was a fair price for a new softener and plumbing from the main and through the garage. The crew arrived on time and were very professional. My yard had to be dug up across the lawn to lay pipe from the water main to the house, every plug of grass was put back perfectly and watered! You can hardly see where the digging took place. The plumbing is very professional and the water softener works great! This is an honest company that does great work, we were charged the estimate price. We have received follow up phone calls to ensure our satisfaction and will be receiving a complimentary visit to check on the softener and answer any operating questions we may have. If you want the job done right, this is the company!! A++++

Being new to Texas I was unfamiliar with hard water until we moved into our new home and started to replace bath fixtures. We contacted Alamo Water Softeners after reading so many positive reviews on Angie's List. Allen arrived at our home on the date and time promised and took all the time we needed to go over the various types of water softeners available. He tested our water to give us an accurate estimate on the size we would need and went over each of the different sizes and what would work with our small family. He did not steer us towards higher priced systems, because he knew we didn't need them. About a day later, we received a call from his office to schedule installation. Installiation took place 4 days later. There was a small misunderstanding on my part about the time the installer would arrive, but the people in the office were very kind and understanding and worked with my schedule . I received a call from Trudi in the office who called to check and see if I was happy and to find out if the installation went well and if we had any questions or issues up to that point.

All the employees I dealt with for the estimation and installation process were very professional. The company could have been clearer about what time they would start the job on the day of installation, and pointed out in advance the outdoor spigots that would now emit soft water. Otherwise, I found my experience with them very smooth and enjoyable. I love the product. It is a great investment. The cleaning is so much less intensive; my appliances work better (dishwasher, coffee maker) and the water from the osmosis system tastes great. It feels good to bathe; so much gentler on my hair and skin. I highly recommend the company and its product!

I learned about Alamo Water Softeners through Angie's List; they were very prompt and courteous, arranging an in-home evaluation and stepped us through the pros and cons of each system. I was not here to witness the install, but my wife reports the technician was very polite and competent, showing her the ins and outs of the new system and what to watch for. Highly recommended!

Had no trouble as far as providing the softener and installation. This is a rental and extremely reasonable compared to old system.

My second order with them. Initial was installation of reverse osmosis system. Again excellent service as the first time. Abel did this job too. Very professional, cleaned up after too. AWS followed up a week later to see if everything was working as planned. No hidden fees or costs. Recommended without hesitation.

Service was superb from the estimate appointment to the installation to the follow-up appointment. The installer was informative and cleaned up very well after the installation. The person who completed a folow-up visit tested the water and explained tips for getting the most life out of the water softener.

Overall experience was AAA+. No high pressure sales pitch, honest upfront pricing no hidden fees or cost, no last minute add ons. Abel did a very neat job even checked out and adjusted my softener. Would definitely recommend AWS without hesitation. Wish all companies were this honest upfront and prompt about their work. They seem to take a lot of pride in what they do. They also had a follow up call to make sure everything went as planned and if there were any questions or not. Highly recommended.

Great - I highly recommend this company and their staff. I held off reporting the transaction for a few weeks to see if something would come - up, but my wife and I are very pleased with the system - no issues. We have seen a great improvement in our water and their staff was great. There was a slight error on the billing (not in their favor) but they stood by their number and ate the small difference - I was not even aware of it until they pointed it out. We should have done this a few years ago - the system is quiet and the water tastes great. A job well done by Alamo Water Softeners.

Allen and his team were a pleasure to work with! The cost was right on with the estimate he gave me over the phone. They added plumbing to a 2006 home for a water softener, installed the 45 grain water softener in the garage and added a reverse osmosis system under the sink in the kitchen. They had a few different spout color options to choose from. We got a discount for finding them on Angie's List and they gave us another promotion they were running as well.

We discovered our old water sofener was leaking and began calling for estimates to replace it, since it was 12 years old. Allen Townsend called back within minutes and set up an appointment to see us. We interviewed 2 other companies, including the maker of our old system, and none offered the value that Alamo Water Softeners did. We accepted his bid, and they installed the water sofener yesterday. The technician doing the installation did an excellent job, and the system is running great. We definitely would use Alamo Water Softeners again, and we are recommending them to anyone we know who needs a water softener.

I highly recommend Alamo Water Softeners. I did extensive research into the different options available in the San Antonio area.(which began with learning the details of how water softener systems work so I would better understand the products being offered). Allen was the perfect person to work with me as I would have bolted at the slightest hint of being "sold". Instead he patiently answered all of my questions without being condescending. The other companies I called were very high pressure sales and made claims that were too bold for me to be comfortable. When I made my purchase decision, Allen was completely on top of the paperwork, scheduling, and even showed up to help Abel carry the system up my stairs so there wouldn't be any damage to my wood stairs. Abel was efficient and thorough with the installation. He took extra time to go over the care/feeding of our new system. We have now had our system for several months and I waited this long to make sure I really liked the system as much as the people. Much to my surprise - I love it even more than I thought I would. The softener system made such an incredible difference in how much soap we use, how difficult it is to clean, how our water/ice tastes, and our coffee maker is working better than ever. Such a relief because I was worried about the benefit/value I would experience vs the cost. Worth EVERY PENNY!

Very easy to work with the individuals over the phone, didn't need to "come and see" and just worked on the issue i had described, making it easy to work without "having to schedule" for no reason. Was able to use modern technology to solve my concern and get me parts!

The first thing that stood out and got my attention with Alamo Water Softeners was the number of reviews (more than any of the other companies on Angie's list in this category) and that they were in the 'A' grade category. After reading the reviews, I put them on my list of three (3) companies to get an estimate. I called and got an appointment for the next day. The appointment with Allen impressed me so much, I could hardly stick to my practice of getting three estimates. He was professional, yet personable. He provided a thorough understanding of both his products, the installation and the industry. He also had a copy of his professional certifications, trade association membership and credentials available and gave us his background and years of experience in this industry. He walked the property explaining what the install would entail from the meter to the house. He went into our attic to see if our water pipes were routed there to possibly do the install directed inside the house. When this was ruled out, he assessed the install from the outside, giving us several options to do an install that would be aesthetically pleasing to our house. After contacting other companies, Allen rose to the top from both his professional manner, the information he provided us and the price. He offered us an installation date just two days from the time I made the decision and contacted him. His crew was pleasant and efficient, doing a seamless and timely one (1) day installation. We are very pleased and will refer this company to family and friends.

This company was a savior! For months we have had several different quotes come out for a water softner. We needed to be plumed as well. This company is the only one that was under $4k. The owner came out and was not pressuring at all! Actually i think once we saw his price, we were more pressuring than he was. They came on time the day that they were scheduled to install the softner. They had to lay pipe across my yard and under the driveway - they did a great job in trying to not disrupt the grass in my yard. Another point I LOVED, is that i work from home, so they were very respectful of the level of noise that they made. They were sure to warn me or wait until i was off the phone with customers before they made loud noises. My clients never knew that i was getting anything done at the house. :) Their customer service was wonderful and very friendly! I will refer them in a heartbeat!

I made a selection and we set a time for the crew to start work. His crew was efficient and professional and the installation went smoothly and on time! No pushy sales pitches, no scheduling drama. More of a "Here's how we can help make this happen" approach. I really appreciated that! The crew arrived on installation day, walked me through the project, told me what to expect, and then went to work. I decided that I really, REALLY needed an additional exterior hose bib installed, and they graciously accommodated the last-minute request. The crew was top-notch, replacing dirt and turf they had to dig up, and leaving me with absolutely no mess whatsoever to clean up. Our garage and laundry room were neat and clean when they finished. We are very pleased with the whole experience and are loving our softened water. They do excellent work, plus they are polite and friendly. I can confidently recommend using Alamo Water Softeners.

Amazing quality work!! The service tech was on time and professional. He explained all work to be perfomed before starting and once complete he explained everyting we needed to know about the system. Service was geat and the price was right! Recommended!
