This is my second experience with AWS. They are amazing and go well beyond the requested services. They know their equipment and can maneuver under any sink and around to almost any icemaker. This is a complex job and they make it pleasant. You can trust them to not oversell you something you do not need. I am a single person and they recommended their smallest, most inexpensive unit based on my expected use. The size fit the need.

They were fantastic!!! From the very beginning of our contact with Alamo Water Softeners they impressed me with their knowledge of their products and weren't at all pushy about selling us the more expensive softener. They asked how many people lived in the home and tailored their products around our needs and our wants and not their ability to upsale or sell us a product that was too much of what we didn't need. Seeing as it is just my wife and I in our home; it didn't make sense to get the biggest and fanciest water softener. I appreciated the fact that they gave me all the information I needed and asked for but not once did I feel they were pushing me in one direction or the other; when I said I would call them back once I spoke to my wife about their products and was just in the beginning phase of price shopping; I never once heard them pull the "Well if you agree to our products now, we'll knock off 10% or 20% of the total cost." Other water softener companies in the area that I called while price shopping, wouldn't let me hang up unless I gave them my credit card information and made a purchase right then and there! After we decided that Alamo Water Softener was the company for us; they offered someone come out and give us a demonstration of what exactly a water softener would do and the many benefits of it....in my mind, it hits closer to home when someone can come in and demonstrate the benefits vs. someone just telling you over the phone. Everything from the installation of the system to the final check-up about a month after it was installed was great!! I have no doubt that should I ever need to contact them regarding our water softener, I can reach them without any problems. I don't get the feeling that just because they have my money that I'm a no-body now. I can expect the same excellent customer service I had recevied from the very beginning. I've already recommended Alamo Water Softeners to friends, family and complete strangers; whenever anyone asks about installing a water softener in their home. Thanks Alamo Water Softeners! I contacted Alamo Water Softeners when our 7 year old Kenmore Water Softener quit working.I had decided to contact them after researching them and reading the reviews here on Angies List and several other sites. I initially spoke with Trevor on the phone. After obtaining the necessary information on house size, number of bathrooms and people in the house he was able to advise me on the appropriate equipment that would fit our needs and the price with discounts for being an Angies List member and paying by check (which was a total of 8 %). He advised me that we had the option of Free Installation or a Free Reverse Osmosis System. He did not attempt to upsell the equipment to more than what we would need which I did appreciate.The next day I called and spoke to Allen and he verified all of the information that Trevor had given me. We had decided to take the Reverse Osmosis System. Allen explained how their equipment would actually save on maintenance costs over what we currently had in the house and that their Warer Softeners would typically last 20-30 years with proper maintenance. I recieved a call from Trudy later that same day to arrange installation at our convenience. This past Saturday we had the installation done by Abel. He did a great job removing the old equipment and installing our new equipment. He made sure the work was done right and everything was cleaned up. Working in the new housing construction industry as an Inspector, I have come to appreciate good work which this definitely is. I have already received a follow-up call from Alamo Water Softeners asking how everything went with the installation and to let me know that Trevor would be coming out to the house for a follow-up visit to check and adjust the equipment as necessary in several weeks. So far the Water Softener is working great as well as the R.O. System. If you are in need of a Water Softener or R.O. System, I would highly recommend giving Alamo Water Softeners a call.

Alamo Water Softeners installed our 45,000 Alamo Sentry water softener on a Wednesday after an initial at home consultation on the prior Friday. Trevor was great at explaining the details of the water softener and suggesting the correct water softener for my wife and me. Abel came out to install the water softener and was very prompt and friendly. They were very receptive of the 5% discount from Angie's List and in addition a 3% discount for paying by check. They came highly recommended to us, and I would definitely recommend them to all our friends/family. Thanks to AWS for helping us out!

My home is approx. 13 years old w/ a complete xeriscape layout. Jerry and his crew quickly went to work & immediately I knew they were going to do a great job. Utilizing a host of tools they quickly tunneled a hole under the drive way without any problem & replaced everything as they found it. This crew was exactly what the doctor ordered. I would highly recommend them if asked.

Jerry, Jerry Jr. and Efram were fantastic. Jerry Jr. and Efram went to work immediately as Jerry Sr. explained to me what they were going to do. They worked very hard, even through two bouts of rain. My house is 15 years old with an established yard and good grass, so I was concerned about it being torn up. You can barely tell they were there. They did a meticulous job of digging and putting the grass back. They cleaned up after themselves inside and out. I was very impressed with their service and professionalism overall. The best parts: they kept me informed of every step, they all seemed to enjoy their job and they spoke highly of Allen, their supervisor. I definitely recommend Alamo Water Softeners. They're fantastic!

Abel from Alamo came to my house and installed a fantastic water softener for my new home. He was punctual, professional, quick and a great guy. Abel installed my brand new water softener in no time and gave me an orientation oh how to use it. I would highly recommend Alamo to anyone wanting a high quality Water Softener.

They were here when they said they were going to be. They cleaned up after themselves. They also came back to follow up with the quality of the installation of my softener. I was very satisfied with their work. My water softener works just great now!!

We have very hard well water .... the company came out and evaluated the water and what we needed .... we have them come an inspect the system about twice a year ..... they had to make a few small adjustments to the system ... they are courteous and prompt ....

Allan came to my house to discuss my water softener options. He was on time, very professional and not pushy like a traditional salesman. A few days later, I called their office to set up an installation. They scheduled us within a couple days and did a quick and clean installation.

The entire experience from the initial visit from Allen through the entire installation process was flawless. Allen was great w/the initial visit...Wasn't a pushy at all. Described his product and additional information on the benefits of purchasing a softener. The installation crew was great as well. Called about 30 mins prior to arrival and were very professional during the process.

Overall from start to finish the service was professional. Everyone was on time and ready to answer any questions. They were knowledgeable and efficient.

The installation team was ONE minute early. Scared me whenthey tore up the yard. But when they left it was barely noticable. Since then the grass has blended back in. Hey were in Texes, anyone is lucky to get grass to grow. Did a great cleanup. The installer did a review of operation and then watched me do a flush of system and set clock. Explained where to purchase and what type of salt to buy.

We moved in to a house which didn't have water softener. Trever was the salesperson who came to my home to introduce their product and give a quote. Jerry and his team did the installation work. It was a nice experience from the beginning. Everyone with the company was responsive, friendly, punctual and professional. Jerry was even nice enough to help me replace a sprinkler head which is completely irrelevant to their work. AWS is so far the best out of the companies/individuals we used during this moving. Too early to speak about their products, but I do believe great service comes hand in hand with great products.

Alamo Water systems responded quickly to my Initial request for consultation and the estimate was reasonable. Allen explained the process from beginning to end and answered all of my questions. Installation team arrived on time and performed flawlessly. Equipment and all hardware works exactly as it is suppose to and worth the money I spent. Followup consultation was performed 3 days after installation by an experienced technician and all issues were resolved.

Out on time for the installation and even though there was a problem with the reverse osmosis filter it was corrected quickly.

Everything went very well. All of my questions were thoroughly answered, even from the initial call. I did a tremendous amount of research before making this purchase and am very confident that I made the right decision. The installer was great, and the follow up was very informative. I appreciate the great service and product.

I was extremely pleased from start to finish with Alamo Water Softners. I initially spoke by phone with Allen Townsend, the owner, who came out to my house to talk about putting in a water softner system. He was very informative, and the best part was, he put NO pressure on me to buy his product. My house is a 1958 model and required some modifications before putting the unit in where I wanted it to go. I later spoke to Allen by telephone on several occassions to have more questions answered. Each time he was happy to help, and again did not pressure me to buy anything. Nearly 3 months after he first came to my house, I asked him to again come out so that I could be sure I wanted to get his water softner system. He again came out without hesitation. I decided to buy a water softner system and the reverse osmosis drinking water system. I am beyond happy with not only the buying experience, but the installation, follow up, and most importantly, enjoying life without hard water. Allen came out with a uniformed crew, who did some digging to place the unit where I wanted it. They left everything cleaner than when they arrived. About a week later, another employee came to the house and walked me through everything, tested the water, answered all of my questions, and made sure that I was pleased with everything. I first read about the company in the San Antonio Business Journal and liked the fact that it was a family owned business, whose owners were trying to become successful based upon top notch service and reasonable prices. They did both as far as I am concerned. I shopped around before I selected Alamo Water Softners, and encountered high pressure salesman and inflated prices. The difference in having soft water in amazing, and has already eliminated a lot of the difficulty in trying to keep our sinks, toilets and showers looking nice. The reverse osmosis sytem is also great. The water tastes good. The unit has a faucet at the sink, and my family is drinking a lot more water just because of the ease of use. I would recommend Alamo Water Softners without hesitation. They went above and beyond to provide a great product at a fair price and with great service!

I have high expectations and want things done right and they met my expectations. The owner of the company, Allen, came out to my house at a time that was convenient to me. He inspected the layout of my house and knew right away how to arrange the system. He provided several options and gave the pros and cons of each. Most importantly he was prepared, anticipated my questions and was professional. Once I signed the contract he scheduled the install. Jerry and his plumbing team came out as scheduled and completed the job just as they had said they would. As part of the install they taught me how to use the system and advised me on getting the most out of it. A couple of things to note, my house was not pre-plumbed for the softener so extra work was needed there; what I really liked was they installed hard-water faucets at the front of my house and in the back yard which I appreciated. A few weeks after the install Javier came out to test the water and ensure everything was working properly. Overall I was very impressed with their service. They are very responsive and know what they're doing. Highly recommend.

Called for a quote and was scheduled immediately. Alan was ON TIME, informative, and professional. After receiving a very resonable quote....I got busy with work, life and just waited awhile to "think about it". After a month, I called and was scheduled within minutes for a day convenient for ME!!!! Installers were ON TIME and very respectful of my property and yard. They had work in bitterly cold, rainy weather and were finished and cleaned up within hours. Trudy, the wonderful contact in the office was a delight! So, kind and funny!! I didn't get filtration system installed at sink that day due to remodeling I'm going through, but they sent me the faucet early in order to get my countertops cut correctly. They have called to follow up with me a few times and answered questions I had. All in all, I feel I got a terrific product at a very resonable price and the service was top notch.

I researched water softeners for a bit and had gotten a few estimates. I went with Alamo Water Softeners because they were timely, reasonably priced, professional, responsible AND the owner (Alan) is a veteran, they?re local and they use products made in the USA. They also offer service but do not require the use of their service as is the case with some other installers. The owner came out and gave me an estimate. There was no pressure at all. He politely and patiently explained all the details. I changed my mind a couple of times and they were very accommodating and patient. They did all of the work (extra was required) and cleaned up after themselves. If I had an issue the owner came right out to offer remedies or explain why certain things were needed. After the installation everything was working fine. A few days or a week later the tenants called to say that they suddenly had no water. I was at work and called Alamo Water Softeners thinking that the issue might be related to their work. They didn?t think it was related. The owner and another employee STILL went out to the house right away. They figured out that someone had turned off the water at the meter. (We still don?t know who or why.) They fixed it and explained it to the tenants. While that issue was unrelated to their work they never sent a bill. I really working with Alan. He was friendly and helpful a lot like a good neighbor. He is sincere about providing quality products and excellent customer service.
