Very professional and knowledgeable. Arrived on time and did a terrific job of installing and instruction. Cleaned up after their work and removed all debris. Our realtor will only recommend this company to his clients. Very pleased and satisfied. They also followed up with me after the install and they will come out again in a few weeks to check system. During the research and bidding process, I learned more than I needed to know about soft water. I called three local companies and met with all of them. I saw top of the line and some very inexpensive systems. Alamo Water Softeners (AWS) and Mr. Townsend made it very simple to understand. He explained the facts and help me understand what was important and what was not. I purchased the Gold45, it is middle of the road and was in my budget. The install was done on a Sunday, with my permission, due to a frost/sleet day. The team of three came out and was very helpful with information and did the job in four hours. Everything was put back in the right places and the trench that needed to be dug was covered almost like it never happened. Training was simple and very friendly. I will be telling everyone I know about AWS and hope to take advantage of their $100 customer referral program. Thanks so much for making this very important decision the right one AWS!

It was a pleasure to work with Alamo Water Softeners. They provided quality service and product. I am very pleased with the installation of my water softener and free water osmosis (monthly promotion). It's been months now since I've had it and as I told the company before on their survey, "It's like bathing in holy water!" There are many companies in town that install water softeners, but I went with Alamo Water Softeners because of their professionalism and integrity. The thing that stood out the most to me was their honesty and hassle/haggle-free service, especially during my initial phone call seeking an estimate. During this conversation, they explained the different types of systems they offered and asked questions to determine the best product to suit our needs. I was surprised that they recommended a basic water softener system. Hearing horrible salesman stories from friends and family, I was expecting for the salesman to recommend the most expensive item on the list. Because of this, I was instantly sold! The price was also hard to beat! I believe I received an additional discount for paying with a check. Anyway, the next day they stopped by at our house to double check the plumbing and gave us a hard copy of the estimate we agreed upon over the phone. During installation day, the service guy arrived on time and was able to install and get the system going in about an hour or so. Afterwards, he took the time to explain how the system works and the fancy buttons that came with it to operate the system. Weeks later, they scheduled a follow-up appointment to ensure that the water softener is functioning properly. They tested the hardness of the water and answered any questions I had. Overall, I am very satisfied--I highly recommend them!

I called Allen seeking a water filter not a water softener. After listening to some expert advice, I opted to rent the reverse osmosis system (Total cost $425 first year.) I now have water at my kitchen sink that is coming out bottled-water quality as promised. Great value, great quality and great service. Thank you Allen.

It went perfect. Trevor and his family are wonderful. Trevor came by the house to give us a quote etc. What I liked about him is that he was quoting us what he thought we needed, not what was going to be the most expensive. We set up a date and time for the installation. The team that came out was professional, prompt and polite. Plus, they had a good sense of humor. They explained everything to me, plus cleaned up after themselves. Plus, not only did they give us the Angie's list discount, they also included a military discount as well. Trevor came by today, December 10th to check our water out. He gave us a thorough run threw on how everything was working etc. I have already referred our friend to him. They are a family owned and operated which allows them to be personable and attainable. I couldn't be happier with our softener and their service.

This company was great to work with from the beginning. Overall I am extremely happy with my reverse osmosis system. I did have a couple of issues come up during the installation process and after I purchased the reverse osmosis system but Alamo Water Softeners went out of their way to get my issues resolved. The first issue was when the installer came to my house to install the system. I told the installer I really wanted the reverse osmosis system connected to the refrigerator so that I would have cold clean water out of my refrigerator. He was very honest and told me that the distance from my sink to the refrigerator was far and that there may not be enough water pressure from the reverse osmosis system to reach the refrigerator. When he told me this I told him I appreciated that he told me this before he installed the system but I was not willing to take the risk of it not working. I basically did not want to spend the money on a system that I could not return if it didn?t work the way I had been told it would. Within an hour I got a call from his office asking what they could do to resolve my issue. They ended up giving me a 30 day guarantee that it would work or they would refund all my money. With this guarantee I let them install the system. The second issue occurred during my guarantee period. While water was reaching my refrigerator it was extremely slow. It would take me 4 minutes to fill a 1 liter bottle. I called the office to discuss what could be done to correct the problem. While the owner offered to refund my money like he had guaranteed me, he wanted me to try a couple of things before we gave up. Sure enough one of his suggestions on how to fix the problem worked. All I did was remove the filter that came with the refrigerator and the water pressure was back to normal. In fact I think the refrigerator water pressure is better than what it used to be. As I said early on in this review Alamo Water Softeners was great to work with. They went out of their way to make sure I was happy with their product. I will definitely use them again.

AWS was great with both the initial consultation and installation. Their follow up and customer service was great.

We had a great experience with AWS! The owner came out to take a look at our situation and quote us on a unit. Very affordable and some extras! No hard sell and lots of facts! We scheduled the install and all went perfectly!! They are coming back to check on it this week and they also notify us when we need check-ups, etc. All around a terrific experience and we love the soft water--such a difference!! Thanks AWS!!

We were not happy with the performance of our Water Softener. Based on Angie's list feedback we contaced Alamo. It would have been very easy to sell us an entirely new system. Alamo was friendly, professional and looking to do what was best for us. They repaired the unit during the initial visit and we have been very pleased with the results. We would highly recommend them.

Allen, the owner, gave my wife and I the "sales pitch", but that was not a bad thing (as is often the case). Having done our research, we decided to hear out several company representatives; we heard a few, fact-checked their pitches, and was not surprised to find holes in their scientific pitches. Allen's pitch, on the other hand, was a sound one. One of the reasons we selected AWS was because of the personal involvement in the process by the owner. Secondly, his installation team, consisting of Jerry Sr., Jerry Jr., and Joshua did an outstanding, non-intrusive, friendly, and professional installation. Finally, we received just the right amount of follow-up from Lisa at the AWS offices, to ensure we were satisfied or whether we had any additional concerns, questions, or needs. Turns out we did have a leak where the system was plumbed to come into the house. Allen and Lisa coordinated an immediate service crew (same team as did the install) to come out and find/repair the leak, which they did, at not even an attempt to garner additional costs. I recommend AWS easily over any other water softening installations in San Antonio.

The guys showed up on time and did a great job. Able was very professional and ensured that the system was completely up and running and that I knew everything I needed to know prior to him leaving. I'm very glad that I finally have a water softener!!

The installer, Able, was very professional and knowledgeable! Wonder employee and person, pleasure to talk with! He explained about hard vs. soft water and how to get a better mix that I would be pleased with. Even though they did not install my current system he explained its workings much better then the old installer (which I will NOT be using again). He explained about the Reverse Osmosis System, how to replace the filter (easy one step) and what exactly it will do......my concern was take the salt out....and he confirmed it would take that out and listed other items. VERY PLEASED and HIGHLY RECOMMEND this company!!

They manufacture everything locally. They come and tell you what you really need and didn't try to sell you something you didn't need. They will quote you over the phone. They are very polite and nice. They are family owned.

This was for a condo I own. I was worried since the electrical outlet I thought was in the preplumbed closet did not exist. Technician Abel did a good job getting around space and access difficulties to install the softener and the RO system in the condo. Friendly and informative, let me know all of the issues that could pop up and how to deal with them. Made several extra steps that weren't negotiated in the original price. Company offers a cash/check discount that helps out a lot and was willing to honor an expired special deal. Chosen because of their Angies list rating and I'm think of using them to install a new system at my own home. Top Notch and nearly as expensive as I thought they would be!!!

They found a water leak in the house because the water softener was backwashing every two days. That's 1,000 gallons of water you've gone through every backwash. These folks (Able, Henry and Sarah) checked from the attic to the ground level and found two toilets running water through the hose to the PVC tube. First thing they did was check the water meter with nothing on in the house and it was just a twirling. They are water softener people who performed plumber's work. The "What did the provider do" explains all that they did as water softener experts. Which was beyond EXCELLENT! Aramendia Plumbing never checked my other three (3) toilets, the same morning, when they came on a service call. Don't need to say anymore than that!

A crew of three came in after only three working days after ordering a water softener and filtration system. While the one technician installed my filtration system and laid the line to my fridge the other technicians were busy with my water softener. By the time the filter was installed and running, so was my water softener. They made sure the apparatus wasn't protruding out from the wall too much by shortening the pipes so my husbands truck still fits in the garage...yay...These guys were in and out, friendly and customer oriented, gave me all I needed to know, cleaned up and gone they were. Today I got my first follow-up phone call from their office...very friendly and courteous...to make sure I am happy with the installation. She was so sweet, she even endured one of my rantings about bottled water and plastic bottles.... thank you... :o)) All-in-all I am very happy. The installation did not even take two hours. I did not stop the time but was surprised how quick they were done. This business will definitely be recommended to friends, family, and neighbors.

Alamo water softeners was great. They came out quickly and on time to install a new system. The installer was informative and friendly. The system itself is working well and the electronic meter on it has already come in very handy. It helped me determine that we had a high water bill due to an outside water problem. I knew in minutes from the readings on it that there was not an issue with any inside water and that really saved me some time. The person that came for a follow up appointment to test the water and answer any questions was also on time and friendly. I have since called with a question about my system and the office staff was also Very helpful and prompt. I have been fortunate to have a lot of great service experiences lately, but the people at Alamo Water Softeners are the cream of the crop.

We had spoken to 2 other companies prior to hiring AWS and we were just not comfortable with the others, so we kept searching and we are so glad we did. Trevor, with AWS is very knowledgeable, polite and professional and he answered all of our questions to our satisfaction. We knew right away that we had made the right choice in hiring AWS to install our water softener system. The crew that came to install was also very professional, arriving on time and cleaning up after they were through. Trevor came out last week to check our system and make sure everything was going as it should. We are extremely pleased with AWS and would recommend them to anyone wanting to have a water softener system installed. Our entire transaction went perfectly from start to finish!

Allen Townsend came out to talk to us the day after we called to set up the an appointment he explained our options and equipment. We told him we would like time to talk about it and get back with him. He was very pleasant, knowledgeable, and not pushy at all. When the they came to do the work they had to run the line from the other side of our house under the driveway into our garage. They had line dug covered and softener in place and hooked up in less then 3 hours. They dug the grass up in stripes so 3 weeks later you can not tell where they dug. They left everything inside the garage and in the yard nicer then they found it and explained what they were going to do before they started. Also, they explained how to work the system and answered our questions before they left. The price was one of the lowest I was able to find, and the reviews were some of the highest I saw on here. I would recommend you at least give them a call if your considering a new water softener. They even sent out some one to check the system a couple weeks after installation to make sure every thing was set right in the system and that it was functioning properly. I only wish I would have got a water softener when I moved into the house years ago. It will be my first purchase if I ever get a new house in San Antonio and I will defiantly go with Alamo Water Softeners again.

I met the Alamo Water Softener's representative, Trevor. he was very professional and not pushy for commitment on a contract. I want to tell you that I had an approximate quote telephonically with AWS, before Trevor ever came out to see the set-up. I contacted La Pure ($1700, no warranty), Kinetico ($4500), and Eco Water ($3750), each system was unique and had different items. I am on a budget, but AWS's price was just right I could choose one of their GOLD lines. Contact AWS for your water softener needs, they will take care of you.

These guys are simply the best. Professional, courteous, with quality equipment and quality work. I recommended them to all my family (they sent me a $100 check for my 1st referral). I would not hesitate to recommend Alamo Water Softeners to anyone.
