Seems like a bait and switch deal. I purchased the deal but when I spoke to David he said the items I wanted worked on were not covered as handyman work but that he had electricians and plumbers that could do the work. The tenant tried to request more repairs that originally explained to me but after explaining the situation further, David begrudgingly agreed to fix the leaky faucet, loose deck board and replace two outlets with the GFCI outlets that I had already purchased. I asked him to contact the Tenant to schedule a time to complete the work but the tenant said he was never contacted by David or anyone from Alamo City Handymen. I am very disappointed and now nearly a month later I still have to find someone to do these repairs.

Did not go well very unorganized staff making appointments. I had to keep calling. I was given an appointment for 8 am. When they called to confirm they changed it to a 3 hour window after I had gone though great lengths when setting appointment because I needed specific time. They handled the entire situation very unprofessionally.

This work went great. They did a super job. I will definitely have them back again. I finally found a handyman I can trust.!

Alamo City Handyman LLC is the bomb. David is so easy to work with and Paul that did my electric work was awesome. I will hire them again and again. Joining Angie's list was so worth the money. I got a job done and it was professional.

Response- Fast Estimate - Fast Work Performed- Less than 5 hours I plan on using them again. Very happy with overall experience. Estimate was 600.00 less than competitor and after closer inspection they dropped the price about 450.00 more.

They did a great job. First crew replaced the gutter fascia and painted it to match the existing border of the house. They arrived early, figured out what materials were needed, and finished the job promptly. Plus, they fixed a few shingles on the roof. I'm calling these guys back when the roof needs to be replaced. Second grew came a few days later due to a busy schedule. Attached the new gutters within a few hours. Really appreciated the quick response from David. My work schedule changes, but I was able to send questions via email that where answered in less than 12 hours if not within a few hours.

They came out very quickly after placing the order and everything was completed as expected.

The downstairs barhroom went well because it went through drywall to the studs...but when it came to the master barhroom there was problems with the drill bits going thru the porcelain title. I even stated that we needed grab bars installed on tile fixtures. Efforts were made with success of only on grab bar being installed even after th handyman going to hardware store to get the right type bit, but wasnt able to installed the other 4 bars because the bit was wearing out..The handyman wanted to continue to try to put up one more grab bar, but i decided it was enough trying and we agreed to call it even....I ended up calling in a professional that specialized in installing safety grab bars, which i should have done in the first place.

Dave is very professional and makes every effort to do a quality, thorough job. This is very refreshing in a city where contractors quite often don't even show up when you make appointments for an estimate.

Called him, paid for the service and by the time I got home, it was fixed!

Original patio roof support beams on my 19 year old house had water damage, rot and loss of wood at the base. Dave of Alamo City Handymen gave me an estimate and discussed how the work would be done. He emailed me an estimate and I accepted their bid. Dave indicated that it might be a few weeks to get me on the schedule. I was happy to take his call on the weekend indicating that they could come on Monday due to an unexpected opening. The 2 men that came to do the work were professional, thorough and did fantastic work. They replaced the 6"x6" cedar beams and placed a metal footing on the concrete to set the beam on and trimmed the top and bottom. The finished job is beautiful. I am so pleased by their work and will definitely call on them again if I have other handyman projects. I used Angie's List SnapFix and they found the contractor. I LOVE this option! I didn't waste any time rummaging through a long list of potential contractors. Will definitely use this feature again. The whole process was painless and we got our needs met for our house repair.

His lack of motivation made us hesitant to contract him. His attitude was not friendly or accommodating. We got a sense he did not wanted to perform the job. Almost like he thought we were asking him to work for free.

I contacted Alamo City Handyman back in April 2015. I had a lengthy to-do-list that included: Removing and replacing two exterior house lights Removing three light fixtures and installing ceiling fans Repair and tightening screws and bolts of an existing ceiling fan Alamo Handyman sent a project manager to review the job and schedule a repair/installation date. The project manager was prompt, attentive and friendly. He assured me the work could be done within the timeframe, cost and scope of the Angie?s list coupon. On the day of the repair/installation the project manager and his crew arrived on time and prepared. They completed the repairs just as requested. I am satisfied with the work and recommend their service.

David did a wonderful job. He is a perfectionist and wants whatever job performed to be done correctly. Serious about his work and will not waste time. I highly recommend this company.

Great service!! I bought the two hour special through Angie's List. Dave (the owner) came out prior to doing the work at no charge which was great. He said that he could do the three jobs I needed in the time allotted. When the date arrive Dave called prior to coming out to let me know he was on his way to do the work. He showed up on time and was very professional. The work area was cleaned up after performing the work. I have another project to do for my home and I received a fair estimate for the work. I reccomend ACH for handyman service big or small. Just make sure you have your list ready.

Great, David did the initial survey, and Joey was did a great job repair , very professional.

Mr. Palomo came and surveyed the work to be done so that he could dispatch the appropriate crew members and equipment/materials. He then scheduled day that was convenient to me. A crew of 4 showed up promptly on the scheduled day and proceeded to install a mailbox (dug hole and , replace an electrical outlet, cut down tree in the backyard and haul said tree off, install a bedroom door knob, repair a broken outside door handle, install an outdoor light above the garage, and hang a tile address sign on the front of the house. A very pleasant experience, the crew was friendly and took time to explain exactly what they were doing and why.

They came out to my home and said that they were unable to do the work because I didn't qualify. I will not be going forward with this company.

My experience turned out fine. He did the work when we were not home. He put up plastic covers which I did not really care for. Scheduling an appointment went well. For what they did, I felt the deal price was high.

They said they'd be here at nine in the morning, and they were on the dot. They did everything I asked and then some. They even fixed a gate that was brushing the stone walk. They even came out and repaired, at no charge, an old pipe under the stone walk that because of the movement got a pinhole leak. I'd definitely use them again and would recommend them to others.

I tried to get services scheduled but it would't be done in a timely manner so I am requesting a refund.

Unfortunately, they were unable to accommodate my time frame to accomplish the work as inclement weather had pushed them behind schedule. I have had David out before to provide a quote for other services. I would consider them for services in the future.

We exchanged several emails and he called me Saturday. I needed 2 window screens replaced and he told me he would need to take it to a window place and order them, but I thought it was too complicated.
