Dave was excellent! He answered all of my questions, and not only did he replace the old smoke/carbon monoxide detector, but replaced batteries in the other smoke detectors as well!!

Overpriced, I got two different estimates from other companies one I thought was too high and another that was too low. Looking at the reviews I thought that Alamo City Handymen LLC would fall in-between, but I was wrong! They were the highest price by a couple hundred dollars. Ended up doing most of the work myself, saved a ton!

This company was very responsive and punctual with everything BUT for the work completed it was not worth the price. Needed stucco and seam repairs on some external areas of our home and unfortunately not everything was repaired...for some areas that were repaired I had to go back and fix or complete to ensure it was all taken care of. Just seemed like lazy repairs were accomplished. Rather than go through the hassle of contacting the company and hoping they would come out to fix, I just took care of it. Not worth how much we paid but needed to get done to sell the home.

I asked for a bid and the response was this company does not provide services in my area. My house is 16 miles from his shop. Seems like a phone call or some better answer rather than can't find my house?

Due to a City of San Antonio road expansion project, I had to completely change the way I entered, parked and exited my personal vehicle onto my property. My present garage entry was no longer available to me. I now needed to have access into my garage from the opposite end of the garage building. Alamo City Handyman was paramount in helping me accomplish this multi-level goal. Dave successfully and smoothly coordinated this multi-phase project and cannot thank him and his company enough! Dave set up and provided an Electrician to install a new electrical outlet for the new garage door opener. The electrician arrived on time, he attached the long, electrical wire run neatly to the garage’s sheet rock ceiling, the newly installed outlet worked perfectly and he cleaned his work area nicely. Very professional job. Dave set up and provided the Construction Crew to make ready the garage wall (the opposite wall from the old garage door entry) for my vehicle’s entry, parking and exit. The tasks included; cutting out a 7 ft by 8 ft opening in the wall, supporting the opening with a new truss on the top and timbers on the side, framing and painting around the new opening and building a wooden ramp inside the garage to accommodate the different ground levels from outside to inside the garage. The last and most important step to me was to secure/close up the new opening with plywood and wooden cross braces until the new garage door arrived! Richard and his crew did an excellent job at each level on this part of the project! Dave set up and provided the Garage Door Installer crew. Alex and his installed my new garage door and door opener. This was a from scratch installation job that included; mounting new rail tracks and springs on the garage ceiling, installing the door itself, setting up the safety travel of the door, installing the new Lift Master garage door opener on the garage door wall, programming the new opener and the two remotes. Alex and crew did a very job on the trim work around the new garage door. All the door’s sensor wires were neatly placed and secured. Alex’s work was very meticulous and through at this last but extremely important stage of my new garage door project.

They were very upfront with price which was fair compared to other businesses I called in town. It was a small job so many companies did not feel it was worth their time or were charging a lot to make it worth their time, but not Alamo City. They set up my appointment within a couple of days and finished same day. Very professional.

Both framing and drywall crews started on time and were knowledgeable, courteous and professional. Close inspection after work was complete revealed that the wrong trim was installed in a couple of areas, but it was a minor, barely noticeable mistake that was insignificant given the otherwise excellent flawless work done. Will definitely hire again.

Extremely well. This is my second contract with Alamo city Handyman for home repair and maintenance services. This company's personnel are extremely competent and professional in their craft. Richard Martinez has been the crew chief on both my home repair projects and he is the best! Knowledgeable about a multitude of subjects, a good listener and articulate in his answers to my (many) questions. His crew is courteous, hardworking, and clean the work site nicely after the job is done. They have been early on both appointment contract days with a reminding call the day before. Both things I greatly appreciate! Alamo City's office staff is readily accessible to answer any questions about the job, appointment times and/or the price quote.

Did't go at all. I'm still waiting for a response to the email that David requested I send to him. I haven't even received an acknowledgement of my email or any information on whether they want my business or not. When I spoke with David, it sounded like he really didn't want the business.

We found Dave ( Alamo City Handymen) on Angie's List over two years ago. Used him for several repairs around the house and was very pleased with his work and what he charged to do the repairs. Needed to have the faucet in the kitchen replaced and we called Dave to do the job. He sent two men that were very professional and we were very pleased with their work. We will always use Dave from Alamo City Handymen.

Extremely well. Richard Martinez, was the project manager for my list of home repairs. He was the absolute best! Very knowledgeable in all the span of my home repair list. An excellent listener and very patient with all my questions and concerns. He and his crew arrived early on the service date. Richard and his team worked together like an well oiled machine addressing my five different home repair items. They cleaned up the work area very well after the job was completed. I am very pleased with the service and quality of work I received as a Alamo City Handyman customer.

We selected the door and brought it home. The team came and removed the old doors and installed the new ones. We noticed a gap at the top of the door and called David. The next day the install team was here, saw our concern and fixed it immediately. Can't speak highly enough of OMG remodeling and the team there. We had several would be door fix guys come and I never have a favorable response when a guy just writes the final amount on a small business card and then hands it to me. It is unlikely I will in the immediate near term need David Palomo or Alamo City Handymen but if that should happen I'll certainly want them to submit bids along with any other similar competitors. They hauled off the old door and door frame as well though this should always be specified when you hire anyone to take out anything and replace it.

Alamo City Handymen were absolutely wonderful! They were professional and punctual, reasonable, and most importantly honest!! The repairs were done in a timely manner, as well. As a single mother, I was afraid that the cost was going to be exorbitant; I had the nothing to worry about. They price they gave me was fair and honest. I didn't feel like I was taken advantage of. Their work and professionalism is impeccable. I plan on using them again.

I feel that if you get an "A" rating on Angie's List your customer service should match an "A" rating starting from the first call. I called to inquire about some handyman work. The gentleman who answered the phone sounded annoyed and started the conversation by saying "we are totally overbooked, what do you need?" That set the tone. I said I needed some work done in the master shower and in the garage. He said, well your garage is probably just a light bulb and we probably won't get out there for a week or two. He was rude and clearly did not want the business.

I will never use them again. They did not fix my roof. It leaked so it was poor quality.

They did good service. From my knowledge they did a great job. I wouldn't give them an "A" simply because they did a little bit of damage to our fence and they didn't repair it. You'd think if they had seen the damage, they would have fixed it. We took a picture after the work was done of the damage, but the still didn't fix it. Their responsiveness to the job was just okay. I don't feel I need to call a person to initiate the job. My husband thought the price was a bit much for the work he did. We just expected more from someone as a business. I probably wouldn't use them again.

It turned out fine. They met my timeline. They came in, took care of their job, asked if there was anything else I needed from them, and they left.

They performed the work as required and did a great job.
