The vendor did not respond in any way to multiple inquiries for a service visit.

We have a contract where they perform service twice a year. We've been using them for about 40 years. It's just one person that comes for the maintenance. When we've had new systems installed there are more people that come. They've always take good care of us and give us some good advice too.

Said it would be a minimum of $1,200 but said it would be better to replace and not worth repairing. Price quoted for new units was several thousand more than price quote before for same units a while back. Called another company and they repaired for $300. Guess they were more interested in selling new units. After using Airtron for over 10 years I am no longer going to use them.

It was very good. We paid $380 for a 2-year service agreement. They were A+.

It took an hour and a half. They explained everything and they did preventive work as well. Regular maintenance for free. He inspected the whole system. Checked the connections, checked the vents inside the home as well.

They're about as good as anybody else. They're consistent and do a good job. I get some real nice service there, guys that come out are really thorough.

They have been our provider for years. They are very good. We have one particular tech guy that comes out and I trust him implicitly to tell me exactly what needs to be done. He's one of the older guys who's been around that does his homework and the young ones don't know what they are doing.

I had a service agreement with them for 10 years on this house. I quit using them in July. It broke again, I had a service agreement with them, and they refused to make good on the part. They are prohibitively expensive and they use horribly made manufactured parts. The interactions were OK. They tell me how they are going to take advantage of me, they are honest about it. I found out that they are charging $2000 for a $500 part. It was poor, it did not last. It was very disappointing. They need to use higher quality parts, or reduce their prices to reflect the shoddy merchandise that they sell. I couldn't get them out when I needed them out. They griped about how they didn't have time to deal with people like me. When I asked them, they were only doing emergencies. The quality was bad. I would take the whole day off and they wouldn't give me an ETA. They would say, you people with service agreements, we will get to you when we can. They would say sometime between 7 AM and 7 PM. It would handcuff me to the house all day long. I would call them for an ETA and they would say that I wasn't a top priority. I would never again use them and I wouldn't recommend them to others.

Our technician, Younes, performed our service. He was very thorough with explanations of what he did. He was very professional and we will request him again. We were also happy that our appointment was moved up one day early.

We had Airtron come out and service the air conditioner in the Spring and just before Fall. They did both services. They did the upstairs unit and the downstairs unit for like $200.

They basically did a Spring tune up in the Spring and a Fall they checked the heating system to make sure it was working correctly. They did a great job! They made some services available, but they didn?t try to use any high pressure tactics to try to sale those services.

Really high caliber and I would recommend them to anyone.

Great just a delay in getting parts from manufactuer

But I just haven't been happy with them the last couple of times and I'm going to switch to buyer boys. The reason I wouldn't use them again is the minute they hit the door to the time they leave they are trying to sell you all these add on's you got to have this are either your whole family is in peril and look at this and you tell them no and it's fine. They are professional sales man.

We knew that our house had an inferior air conditioning unit and also the heater was not good for passing inspection for selling. Because they sent people in the past that really didn't know what they were doing. I had to be firm with them about it. But when they replace the unit and actually do the work then our city came out and did an inspection. The guy said it was perfect. I don't remember the final figure but they gave us a $1,000 off each unit because we've used them for years and we got a rebate from CPS so they handle that paper work for us, that's our utility. They also gave us this sheet of paper for our taxes and we will get $500 off our income tax. What stands out is the quality of the unit, the person that came out and explained to us what the discount would be and what the unit would do, and the heating unit. It's a two year warranty on each of those and it's transferable if we move, so they handle all of that on their computer. They sent people initially on two visits that did not figure out that we had a major leak in one of the units so we ended up going without A/C in our upstairs. It was about a week long because they kept sending people and doing band aid.

They are good. I was satisfied with their service. He had all these electronic kinds of things that he used. I asked him about taking apart the inside...whatever is inside, inside the closet there but he said they didn't have to do that any more because they had some kind of little gadget that they were able to monitor to see if there was anything that needed to be taken care of inside. I asked him about the outside unit and he says, 'What do you want me to do with the outside unit?' I say, well aren't you supposed to take it apart and clean it out or something or another? And so he did go out there and do whatever he was supposed to do. He checked the...not the freon, whatever new kind of thing...refrigerant that they put in down out there. He said that everything was okay. That it was a little not really low, but he had space to fill it up to put more in it. So he went ahead and did that too. He topped it off. It didn't take us long as I thought that it would take. But here again, I didn't get a receipt. I gave him my paper and that was my problem with, oh gosh, a couple of years ago as well with somebody that came out there. He says, no they didn't give me a copy to leave with you. Because I wanted to know all that little checklist that they ticked off everything. So that's my only qualm right with that, is that I didn't get the paperwork to keep that shows me that they check these things. I like to keep that just in case something goes wrong and someone comes out to repair it and they say, 'Well, when was the last time you fixed it'. I can bring out my little piece of paper. The cost was good.

They’re a bit inconsistent between employees.

They were tremendous both days and are an incredible company.

The technician showed up right on time and assessed the problem to be a leak in my evaporator coil. He was able to get the part covered under warranty and gave me a reasonable quote for the labor to repair. He recharged my unit so it would last until they could get the part and schedule service. I was contacted the next morning by the office, scheduled a service date and then was called back as soon as they go the part. The 2 technicians that showed up were on time and extremely knowledgeable, nicely dressed and as nice as could be! Issac and Alyandro were great to deal with and made it easy to get my A/C replaced. I was so impressed I had the do a service at my mother's house. I will use no one else in San Antonio for my A/C repairs.

Woke up this morning and my residential A/C unit was blowing out hot air on a soon to be 100 degree day. Called Airtron at 7AM and was told a technician would call me between 1pm - 10pm. Went to work and at 8AM (1 hour later) got a call from Airtron Tech Billy who told me he was already enroute to my house. Went back to my house and he arrived shortly after. He introduced himself, put his little booties on, and came inside and looked at my unit. He said everything looked good on the inside and asked me to show him the outside unit. I took him to it, he took the panel off and started testing the inside components with a voltage meter. He quickly determined my capacitor was dead. He quoted me different prices depending upon how long a warranty I wanted (1 year vs lifetime). I selected the one with the lifetime warranty and he went to his truck and came back and replaced it. After that he borrowed my hose to get my fan working again and in no time my a/c unit came back to life. Overall I was very happy he came as quickly as he did, quickly determined the problem and fixed it for a fair price. Billy from Canyon Lake was great.

I have been with Airtron for 10 years now and this is the first time I was scammed. They are not cheap but in the past I always felt that I got service worth the money I paid but not this time. They added 2 pounds of refrigerant and charged me 500 dollars. The refrigerant is worth $10/pound. I called multiple companies after the incident and they told me if the tech was already in the house I should be charged between $50-70 /pound. I called Airtron and they told me that they charge a flat fee and it does not matter if it was 2 pounds or 10 pounds. It is my fault I should have stopped the work and called other companies to ask for the price but since I was with Airtron for that long I did not expect them to do this. I am very disappointed to see a good company resort to these kind of tactics to make more money.

tech found an issue, it was discussed and resolved with coverage under service contract

As Airtron originally installed the A/C & Heating unit in my home when new in 2008, I took them up on their tune-up offer I received in the mail this year. Today, Mario, the tech, came out & did a wonderful job. He was extremely thorough with his tune-up (much appreciated) and was even authorized to address an additional concern with the venting at no extra charge. There was no up-sell or gimmicks. I recommend them & will no be a permanent subscriber to their preventive maintenance. I would also like to add that their last service on my unit was 3 years ago, when they fixed the A/C at no charge even though it was 6 months out of warranty!

Everytime they came out they were trying to sell something to us, and always trying to hike up the price on repairs.

I came come from a trip to the East Coast to put my mom on Hospice and arrived to find my air conditioning was not working (it was near 100 degrees outside and in the high eighties in my house, not fun. I purchased my new AC unit in 2009 from Airtron and called them to come out. Repairmen was there within 3 hours of my call and quickly discovere I needed I needed a new capacitor. It was under warrenty and thus part and labor was free. He replaced and in less than an hour, AC came back on. Technician explained it would take 24 hours or more to get entire home cool; he was right. Technician was very professional and performed work quickly and correctly, what a relief. No AC in August in Texas is no fun.
