Airtron Heating & Air Conditioning's service is very good. I would recommend them to someone else.

This checkup was part of a 5 year service contract I took out with Airtron in August 2005. This service call was my last one on this contract so I did renew the service contract for another 5 years. Airtron has always done an exceptional job for me and has taken excellent care of my 2 AC and heating units. I strongly recommend Airtron's 5 year service contract as it will save the homeowner several hundred dollars over 5 years apposed to paying for each individual service call every 6 months.

It went quickly. I was impressed with the number of technicians that came to work on the different parts. They may not be the cheapest in town, but they are efficient.

The replaced system was a 10 SEER system from 1996. It was very inefficient and had been showing signs of impending failure since June. I obtained a quote from Airtron on August 10. The salesman (Jim Orcutt) came to my house to provide an estimate. He was punctual and professional, and provided me with a detailed written estimate (including specific equipment model numbers). The old system failed two weeks later while I was on vacation and the housesitter had it "patched" by another company. The Airtron quote was more than I wanted to pay, but I needed a new system quickly and the Airtron quote was the lowest from among the companies that I trusted (based in large part on its Angie's List rating and reviews). I called the salesman on Monday, Aug. 30 and was booked for a replacement appointment for 9 am on Wednesday, Sept. 1. The installation team (two men) arrived on time, worked a full (and hot) 9-hour day and had the new system operating by 6 pm. They used drop cloths to cover the floor from the front door, up the staircase and down the hall to the attic access site. There was no damage done to the house or the shrubs around the condenser (for which I am very appreciative) and they left behind very little debris (only a little dust in the hall and a few wire cuttings outside). The system has operated with no problems since the install two weeks ago. I haven't received an electric bill for this period, so I can't yet comment on the anticipated energy savings. There were two aspects of the experience that could have been better. First, I felt there was some degree of language barrier with the installation team. I quickly got the impression that at least some of what I was saying and asking was not being fully understood and this inhibited me from asking more questions and learning as much about the process and the equipment as I would have liked. Second, the Amana unit I purchased comes with its own dedicated digital thermostat so my old thermostat (a $100 Honeywell digital that was only 9 months old) had to be replaced and I planned to use it elsewhere. Before they left, I asked the installers where it was and got a vague answer. I called the salesman and he was kind enough to track it down and personally return it to me a couple days later. Overall, the experience with Airtron was easier and smoother than I expected and I will ask Airtron to quote the replacement of my first floor system when its time is up. FYI, the price that I stated above is the gross sales price paid to the company and does not include the CPS rebate or federal income tax credit which will lower the net price to about $8,500.

The check up was priced at about $70. Our Carrier system is 10 years old and has corrosion and leaks. The lead technician brought a trainee, and gave us excellent service. The lead tech also took extra time to educate and inform me about how the system worked, what had happened to it over time, and what to expect in the future.

They did a good job with the work and I am pleased with their service.

Work was accomplished timely and professionally. Took the time to explain what he found, what caused it and how he fixed it. Very pleased.

Eric Smith called to see if he could come the day before as he had an opening and was in our area. Eric listened to our concerns and then presented 2 options to us to consider. Both were great options. The bids were competitive with others we received. We did not choose AirTron due to getting a better warranty from another company, but would call them again for others services if needed.

This was to be a normal service call to clean filters and tune up the heat pump. When the technicians discovered the leak in the evaporator coil they left of about an hour and returned with a new replacement coil. It took about 3 hours to do the job. They left with our heat pump working better than ever. Their job was professional and completed when they said it would be. This repair was covered by our 10 year warranty on this heat pump purchased in 2003. The cost stated here is for another service contract for one year.

They put the units in the house and we have a contract with them. They come out twice a year. It is a ten year contract. They are very good. They put little booties on when they come into your home and they are very professional. They send us a card to let us know that it is time for service. They give me a time and then they call before they come. They are great.

They have a good price. I like the technician. We get the same technician every time. He does a good job.

Called the company to sched. an appt. to check my thermostat. Girl on the phone was very nice but I was a little confused about pricing, so I asked if I could cover it with the Tech. when he got to my home and she said yes. When the Tech. got to the house he couldn't really do much with the thermostat, but he thought that it was bad based on what I told him and observing it operating. He said a new one was $300. The one thing I did understand from the girl on the phone was that I'd get a 15% discount on repairs if I purchased a service contract - $150 for 2 visits over a 6 month period. Next, the Tech. wanted to check the system which I didn't agree to before hand, he just kind of started doing his thing. I had to stop him and discuss the charges. In the process of doing that, I mentioned the 15% discount and asked if that meant the new thermostat would be 15% off of $300; he said no, the thermostat is normally $350, less 15% would be approx. the $300 he quoted initially. I really didn't like the discrepency in the price of the thermostat, and he tried to start performing the maint. check without me agreeing to it beforehand.

The service guy was very friendly and informative. He changed the filters, tested the units and cleaned out the condensation lines. Their services is cheaper if you sign up for the twice a year service but I opted out of that.

They are reliable, professional and efficient. I would recommend them to others.

Responded very quickly. Called at 11 am and they came at 2 pm the same day. Called half hour before they would arrive. Technician was professional. Worked very clean. He wore shoe covers while walking through the house removing them each time he went into the attic and recovering his shoes when he came back down. Located the short, explained the problem, went over the cost of diagnosing and locating the short and the cost to repair. Considered whether or not we would still be able to purchase an extended warranty to help cover the costs. Used some fuses that I had on hand instead of installing the companies and charging for them. Reminded me to close the windows I had opened while the AC was not working. When he finished he took a look at another AC unit to see if he could quickly figure out why it was making some noise and offered some suggestions to fix it. We were very happy with the experience overall.

The did a fine a job it was just way too much money. They don't clean up and seemed to be in a hurry.

I contacted a few companies and Airtron had the best quote. They did a very good job and I was very pleased with it. They said they what time they would be here and how long it would take to do the job and were right on schedule.

The sales representative was thorough in explaining my options. A technician arrived about an hour after the service department called to say they were on their way and went to work removing the outside unit. Another technician arrived shortly thereafter and started on the inside unit. They cleaned up the area when they were through, both outside and inside.

WE HAVE BEEN USING THERE SERVICES FOR ABOUT THREE YEARS. THEY USUALY CALL ME AHEAD OF TIME TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT. THEY ARE FLEXIBLE AND GIVE YOU A WINDOW OF WHEN THEY WILL BE COMING AND THEY CALL ABOUT THIRTY MINUTES BEFORE THEY SHOW UP. THEY ARE ON TIME, THEY HAVE GOOD TECHNITIANS AND DO A GOOD JOB KEEPING CLEAN AND CLEANING UP. WE PAID FOR THEIR SERVICES UP FRONT FOR TEN YEARS.

Although there were some scheduling issues at first (I had an appointment for 2 to 10pm), they called me around 7 pm and said the technician would be coming close to 10pm, but they gave me the option of rescheduling for the next day, which I did. The tech called about an hour before his arrival, and was polite, courteous and professional. He explained thoroughly what he was doing, and didn't seem to mind when I was peering over his shoulder. He also observed an open window in the house, and suggested I keep it closed to help cool the house. He also offered several other tips on keeping the unit running efficiently. I really appreciated the booties. Very thoughtful touch!

Technician arrived on time, Checked both the inside and outside units. Checked operation of the thermostaes. Tech was very careful while in the house. Explained everything he did as he went along.

Airtron does a nice job so we have them visit three or four times each year.

I discovered the fault on return from work at 5:30 PM. I called Airtron's service number and they asked if it was alright if a serviceman came out that night! They put me in direct contact with the repairman, Ignacio and he apologized that he was on another call and could not get there until about 8:00. Asked if that was too late or if that was okay with me. He arrived about ten minutes before 8:00, went promptly to work and finished just before 11:00 after checking both units at the house, ensuring everything was right and letting me know that he would be glad to come back if we had any problems at all.

Installation of filters went much faster than expected. Techicians were very professional and got their work accomplished in the attic in short order. Unfortunately they were not well informed on the wireless "replace filter" indicators the sales representative informed me were included in the price ($1,701). In fact, they had to "find" indicators from another job. Inspection of three HVAC systems was very thorough. Technician first looked at the third system and determined it was in good repair (we would endorse it for an AIRTRON protection/maintenance plan). Sales representative informed me that the technician could sell me the plan. Technician informed me that he could not sell me a plan, but took information on HVAC and my request back to the office for further action. Charge for this service was $89. Still waiting to hear cost of the plan for third system. Technician performed very thorough inspections all systems. Entire project completed in just under 6 hours.

I like them mainly because they do a good job and they are always on time. Besides the maintenance, when I had had other problems they were always able to identify them and fix them. I bought the ten year service plan. I'm on year six already.
