Description of Work: Airtron replaced two AC/heating systems in our home. We chose them primarily for price, and the service was prompt and professional. They even told me about (and repaired) some ductwork we didn't know was leaking cold air in the attic.

Description of Work: Honestly the most awful experience. I cannot stand to tell the long drawn out 2 week long saga again. They were more interested in selling me something than fixing the under warranty problem.

Description of Work: The technician replaced a part in the outside unit. I did not realize it was still under warranty. He let me know it was, so there was no charge.

Description of Work: Airtron was the original installer (new construction) for our ac units 3 years ago. This will be the second blower motor to fail in two separate units. The first was covered under parts and labor warranty. The second was covered under factory parts warranty. Both times I had the problem diagnosed before calling Airtron. Both times I was told they couldn't order or bring any parts until they had diagnosed the unit themselves. This second time they looked at it for 30 seconds before agreeing with me. That's $90 for the 30 second diagnosis. Labor was originally quoted at over $400 (this usually takes about an hour to repair), but since they did the original install (and blower motors shouldn't be burning out after 3 years!) they discounted the price the $365. The gentleman doing the repairs could not easily separate the motor from the fan, so we got a free fan out of it. To his credit he was very polite, made several trips for parts and spent the better part of his day on our ac. We were very pleased with him. Also, Airtron responded within 12 hours of calling, and the unit was fixed within 24 hours. So the bottom line is, if money is no object then Airton is a great option. But their prices are ridiculous and I'm beginning to question the quality of parts they used for the initial install.

Description of Work: Their service was a little pricy. I bought the twice yearly package (heating and cooling) which brought down the costs a bit but still on the pricy side. They handled the service well. Easy to schedule, called ahead, showed up on time. Newer house so no issues .... just general service and check.

Description of Work: This is follow-up review from previous experience last month. Feb. 2012 I was told that I had a refrigerant leak and that a leak search would need to be done in order to determine the source. Yesterday, 27 Mar. 2012 the search was done, at no cost, and I was told that the leak was in the evaporator coil which was under warranty. The unit is 3 years old, warranty is 5 years for a Carrier unit. I was quoted a price of $1195 for labor only to replace the coil. I think this is outrageous. A 4 hour job for $1200? I don't pay anybody $300 per hour! But the main source of irritation is, no matter who you talk to at Airtron, everyone is a high pressure salesperson. No matter what you try to talk about, the conversation always gets back to their high-priced service contracts. Even the first person who answers the phone tries to sell you a contract! They are a pain in the rear to deal with. Another company (with an A Angie's List rating) is coming in the morning to replace my coil for less than half the Airtron price.

Description of Work: I have the Essential Filter replacement plan. Supposed to get two filters delivered every six months and automatically billed. Only thing that correctly occurs is the taking of money out of my account for the filters. Twice over the last six months the wrong size filters for my units were sent. You would think after the first incident the filter sizes would be correct. No, just this past week the badly needed filters arrived and were the wrong size. I've called AirTron on Saturday, Monday and Wednesday and still nobody has called me back to discuss and correct the situation. Well, as soon as I get a call, I will return these filters and cancel the "service." Finally, AirTron installed these heat/ac units when I built the home. I've used their technicians and I can honestly say only one of the technicians really seemed to "know his craft" and corrected errors by other AirTron techs before him. Seem to sometimes get younger, inexperienced technicians. I'm looking elsewhere.
