When Patrick went to my attic, he said he found the main exhaust pipe, disconnected from the roof vent in 2 places. He said we were being poisoned by carbon monoxide. The aluminum duct assembles with what appears to be quarter turn twists. It was all so odd, since I was in the attic a week or 2 before, and the duct work was intact. My HVAC system was working just fine, although my utility bills reflected the inefficiency of the 1999 central system. Rather than writing up my $39 system checkup, Patrick wrote a quote of $5500 for a new 18 SEER condenser and coil. He gave me a single form from GE Capital to apply for credit, should I decide to have the work done. After signing the application form, telling Patrick I would think about it. I hadn't planned on buying a whole new system that day. Patrick responded that it was too late, the equipment was on their truck on its way to my house, the $5500 loan to me was already paid to Air3000. The equipment installed was not 18 SEER, not a matched system, and my electricity bill was 54% higher with the new a/c than with the old one they removed--operating under identical weather and thermostat settings. After filing 3 protests, contacts with the new Consumer Protection Agency, GE Capital demanded that Air3000 remove their equipment in Sept, and in Oct they finally refunded my money. The only positive from this company is their installers did extremely neat, precise work.

Well my AC was twelve years old and I had not been servicing it properly or as should be scheduled which in in turn caused for it to continuously be failing as it was and it's an above the ceiling unit so to be brief --it got a leak on one of the coils and it flooded the pan that it seats on so that in turn--turned into mold which could have caused severe allergies on the family not to mention other terrible things so I reviewed some of the AC companies on Angie's List and I called Air 3000 and they came over immediately and assessed the situation and they were very honest with me and told me up front what the damage was and what the actual cost would be and were very patient in explaining what needed to be done in order for the AC to work properly and for it to have a longer lasting life being that it was already 12years old-- so needless to say that the whole above the ceiling unit was replaced andI knew that as a homeowner you have to keep up with the maintenance of your house and eventually replace the normal wear and tear of appliances--so the technicians that were sent over were very diligent in their work and did an excellent job. I am very pleased with this company and I have established a contract to continue using their services in servicing my AC.

Air 3000 called me a week before to offer a A/C check for $39.00. I needed a checkup of my unit and agreed. I requested April 13th. I was called the day before and an hour before to remind me. Which I was happy about since it kept me on schedule. David arrived on time, introduced himself and began to work. He checked the outside part of the unit, and also went up in the attic to check the ducts (I've had the unit checked before by other companies but this was the first time anyone wanted to check the duct system. He discussed things about my Trane unit as he worked. He found that the compressor running amp are very high. Contactor needed to be replaced, condensor fan cap needed to be replaced, system is old and inefficient but was cooling for now.Ducts were not sealed properly. A/C check was completed. Amp draws are within limits, safetys ok, freon level was ok, ducts need to be sealed. Insulation is good. David was very pleasant and explained every thing to me. I discussed whether the unit could last another year because I know I will need to replace it soon. I was happy because he was not trying to get me to purchase another unit but was letting me know the actual condition of my unit. I was very happy with David and the service I received. I would be more than happy to use this company again.
