The service was okay. The guy came when he was supposed to. I did not like that I had one pound of refrigerant and I needed another pound. He would not let me just purchase another deal and get the extra pound. Instead, I had to pay like $160 extra for another pound of refrigerant. The guy was very nice, polite, informative. He said it was his company that did it. They won't do it. I was not happy. I paid for it because I want my air conditioner cold. I was not happy with them and I will not use them again. I did not like the fact that they were charging me double or almost triple.

Worked with Craig the owner throughout the process. He was very informative and patient with my many questions about different potential replacement systems. When I decided on a system he provided a fair price for what I was requesting. The people who installed the new system were prompt, courteous, and cleaned up when they were finished. Had a question about my thermostat after installation concerning why it had less features than my previous one. Craig responded immediately that he did not know I had an upgraded model before and would be happy to replace it with his upgraded model free of charge. Only minor glitch in the process was post installation when Tex-Perts said they would take care of submitting the paperwork for my rebate from GVEC. It appears that they do not work with GVEC very often (mostly CPS) and after a lengthy time (3 weeks) I checked with GVEC to see where we were in the process to find out that nothing had been done. I contacted the office to inquire what they had done and was informed that they didn't know what to do for a GVEC rebate and I would have to handle it myself. I called GVEC and within 15 minutes knew what I needed to accomplish for submission of the rebate. I then contacted the office/Craig and Tex-Perts assisted me in collecting the necessary paperwork to submit. I was disappointed in the support I received from the office staff regarding my GVEC rebate. Overall the important part, pre-sale information, installation, product quality and price was great. Support form the office staff has been less than perfect. I would use them again and recommend them to friends or neighbors with the caution of if the office staff tells you they are going to do something a follow up call by you may be prudent.

The technician arrived on time on the appointed date. He checked out both heat pumps, cleared the drains, added a little freon to one unit, cleaned the evaporator coils and condenser coils, and checked out the electrical relays. Then, he changed the filters. He was very professional and a pleasant person and we will use Tex-Perts again.

TEX-PERTS Cooling & Heating were very courteous. He did his work, didn't bother anybody and did a good job. The price was excellent. He did a good job. He really did. She called me before they came out and told me about when they were going to be here. She gave a guesstimation when they were coming the day I made the appointment. Then she called me the day of, so they were really good. They were pretty close to arriving on time. I think it was just a little late. But it wasn't any biggie. She told me the approximate time. He was just a little late. He was very polite and professional. He wanted to take his shoes off and I told him no, my house is dirty. He was very good. I would most definitely use this provider in the future.

Edgar arrived on time and quickly went to the outside unit. Immediately found the fan was running backwards, demostrated with piece of paper, which is an unusual way for the capacitor to fail, but it happens. Freon check showed low pressure. Added freon and installed new capacitor. Total cost was about $740, but reduced to $512 with service contract. Office called later to be sure all was OK. No problems since, upstairs is now much cooler and unit cycles on-off as it it should instead of running constantly.

It went very well. After checking the units, they came back with a report explaining the condition of the units. They gave the different options and didn't try to push the most expensive option like other vendors have tried. Very satisfied with their service.

I was perfectly satisfied with TEX-PERTS Cooling & Heating. They came quickly and did it quickly and were very good.

Their service has been excellent. The air conditioner stopped working so I called them through their answering service. It was 9 o’clock at night. They dispatched a technician who arrived at about 10. Unfortunately the compressor had failed by his diagnosis. He didn’t have one handy. He was able to get the part in a couple of days. Fortunately my wife and I went out of town and we avoided the heat. The following week when he got back, he installed it. The system is working properly now and he seemed to have done all the right things as far as properly recharging the system with Freon or whatever they use these days. I have been pleased with them. They installed the unit two and half years ago. They get a good grade from me. Their demeanor is excellent. They did the final repair last Thursday. It was all warranty work. The service call when I discovered the problem was part of the annual service contract I have with them.

They came out last Monday and the service went great. Everything fine. They cleaned it and did the work. I would use them again. They guy that came out did a good job and he seem fine.

They are the highest rated on Angie's List for the A/C. Their price is significantly higher about 25% higher than the other company. What I didn't like about the company they were really in line in terms of professionalism with the other company. They absolutely spoke negatively about the other company, but they may have been right. He kept telling me that the other company hires criminals and that is why their prices are higher because they have some background check. So, I didn't really care about the competition in that way. They were very unprofessional. I got a quote and the guy was really nice. I felt like their personality was really nice, the guy who came out.

The repairs were handled very well, and the unit is working properly. I wish there had been some way to determine what was causing the problem without paying for coolant that was wasted, but I'm not sure there was a better way to handle the issue. The other problem involved the scheduling. I set up an appointment for them to arrive to replace the coil between 10:30 and 12:30, and they arrived before 9:00. I understand the desire to get attic work done early, and I happened to still be home, but I wish the manager that scheduled the appointment had set up the correct time. It all worked out, though, and I have no complaints with the quality of service. Overall, it was a very positive experience, and I will use them again.

They are good people. They came in and did the basic inspection that was advertised. They came in on time and did what they are supposed to do. The price was right and they sent in competent people. I haven't had complicated thing done by them, so I don't really know.

The Tex-Perts experts were great! . I used them a year ago, for a simple A/Ccheck-up special offered on Angie's list. I was impresssed then by the thoroughness and professionalism. My unit was 20+ years old and on its last legs, but instead of insisting that I had to have a new unit, since my funds are very tight, they told me honestly that the company that had managed to keep it going the year before had done a fine job, and it would probably last another year. That was beyond honest, in my book. So this year they were one of the first companies I called when the old condenser up and died. The tech who came ut let me go up on thee roof with him so he could show me the problems, and told me he COULD coble it together, but between the cost of th old Freon and a broen part it would have been almost $1,200 -- so since it was failing anyway, I decided to bite the bullet. After getting bids and estimates from several very good companies, just to be prudent, I chose TexPerts. Partly because of the great Angie's ratings, but mostly because each of the techs I spoke with, from Tj in the front office, who was always informed and helpful, to Edgar and Danny, who were both out to see the unit, and especially the owner, Craig Tuffelmire, everyone was great to do business with. They were incredibly prompt, courteous, knowledgeable and considerate of the time constraints in scheduling a crane to remove the old condenser and install the new one. When it came to avising me on a new unit, Craig took the time to go over the pros and cons of various models, and ended up selling me a Goodman unit, from a company that has been upgrading its HVAC units to do a great job for a small space like mine, without suggesting I needed a top name unit that would be more expensive off the bat. He also was able to arrange financing through Wells Fargo, which was extremely helpful. I really had a great experience with TexPerts, and have recommended them to all my friends -- so the opportunity to reach a wider audience with this review is very welcome.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal special offer for this service. I think they are okay but I probably would not use them again. They told me they could only do a partial tune-up because of the way my air conditioner is. The technician also found additional problems so I had them come back two additional times. It ended up costing me more money so I would not use them again. I had the work done immediately after I purchased the Big Deal. I found the parts they were quoting a lot cheaper on the internet and I told him that. I did not paying a little more but I thought their prices were ridiculous. I was not real happy with them but the guy who came out was really nice and I liked him. He also was knowledgeable but I thought their service was kind of a rip-off. They were real good about responding to me.

Fair but did not follow the list of what was provided for the BigDeal. Became rude and not responsive when I refused the repairs. He did put all back together before he walked out. Never returned my call that I made with questions.

I was unhappy with the servicing that I got from a previous A/C company and went on Angie's list to find a second A/C company to re-check one of my A/C units. The technician came out and checked the unit. When he opened the outside component of the A/C unit, it did not look as though it had been cleaned by the previous technician that had just been there. The Tex-pert technician checked the coolant level and said that it was okay. However, I felt as though the unit was still not cooling as well as it did before I had it checked by the initial service technician who came just for the annual check. The Tex-pert technician did seal the inside component of the A/C unit better than the previous technician. Finally, still unhappy with how the unit was functioning, I called a third company whose technician finally added coolant to the unit and it then began to cool as well as it did before this whole process started. Even though I liked the Tex-pert technician and initially gave the company a good review; I would not use them again because it took the third company to finally add coolant which fixed the problem.

Quick and professional, good service.

We recently purchased this house, built in 1950 which did not have either central air or heat. The previous owners used space heaters and window air conditioning units. Initially, because we had been told a central unit was out of the question based on the unusually small size of our attic, we contacted Tex-Perts for a quote on a mini split system. After a slight snafu with scheduling (we were scheduled for a consult on Memorial Day which wasn't actually communicated to the technician), the owner came out and informed us it not only would be possible to install central heating and air, but that it could be done as early as the following week. The following Monday, two teams of installers arrived at our house promptly at, if not before, the scheduled time. I'm sure no one wanted to crawl around in our tiny cramped attic, but they did. The system was installed in under two days, which was even faster than the intended time period. A week later, someone came out to check the overall system to make sure everything was working to our satisfaction. At that time, he also educated us on maintenance as well as safety dos and don'ts. The staff at Tex-Perts have always been friendly, prompt, professional, and helpful. Although installing this system was a hefty investment, it will more than pay for itself this summer as it protects us from the ruthless San Antonio heat. We've been more than satisfied with the service we've received from Tex-Perts and will be utilizing their services in the future for anything concerning the system they installed.

The guys from TEX-PERTS Cooling & Heating were great. I would recommend them to anyone and I would use them again. They were prompt and did a good job. They reviewed everything. They didn’t try to sell me something I didn’t need which is good.

The technician was very informative and gave us really good information so that we can make an informed decision about our AC needs.

Went very well once I called them. My past experiences with Angie's List providers is that they call you once you buy the coupon. I had to call them to get the service set up. Technician was punctual, professional and very competent. There was only one small thing that I noticed after the service. In checking my central HEPA filter in the attic he did not ensure a foam gasket was in place and part of it is hanging out of the service door. Otherwise he was very thorough and took time to explain his findings. I would definitely use them again.

Our service technician was very prompt and called 30 minutes before his arrival. He was courteous, thorough, professional and answered all our questions. We were so pleased with the service we bought the annual maintenance contract.
