My experience has gone well. I have used this company for a few years now. The pricing for chem free pest control is reasonable. The staff is professional and knowledgeable in their field. I would recommend this company to others.

It went great! The technician was prompt and very nice. He explained every step and what to look for. He even suggested a few things to do as preventative steps. I will use them again.

Late Saturday afternoon 7 Dec 2013 I noticed the AC blower fan upstairs was not working. I was expecting the worse since a major cold front had passed through San Antonio the previous evening. Went to work checking Angies List for a HVAC company I found Tex-Perts Cooling and Heating. They had excellent reviews and the most by far in their category. Since it was to late in the day to call, I phoned the next morning 8 Dec 2013 and got their answering service! Surprise? I had anticipated there might be a delay because of the weather conditions. However I received a call about 2 hours later from the technician, George and he gave me the approximate arrival window. He arrived a little late, but considering the conditions of the day it was not really a big deal. He went to work immediately and diagnosed the problem. What a relief because I am honestly living on borrowed time with the age of my AC unit (14 years). I am going to follow up with a service inspection/tune up to get a better idea of the current AC status. George the technician was a pleasure to work with very professional,fast diagnosis, and repair. He even glued the AC panel insulation that was falling off because of age. Thanks Tex-Perts for your prompt and quick repair!

Went GREAT from first talking with Tammy over the phone until George left the house. I had another company tell me over the phone that I would need to replace my whole Heat Pump at a cost of about $4,800.00 without even looking at it. Talk about Merry Christmas and getting into my back pocket. I called Tammy had a Great visit with her she recommended sending George out to take a look and what a Great Guy. He asked questions explained everything he was doing and why talked to me like a REAL person and was very professional. George was very informative he gave me a price on what needed to be done stuck to his word and left me with $4,600.00 still in my bank. If you need A/C or Heating work done call TAMMY she will put a smile on your face and treat you with the respect we all deserve and don't forget George he showed the abilities and treats you and your home with respect. The responded promptly. However, the price they charge for the service was outrageous. The quoted price for the part was $787 plus a $79 service fee. I would expect a mark up of 2-3 times the part cost for repair work so I was expecting the part to cost them roughly $400. However the Part CNT03797 is $122.97 on the internet. They charged over 6 times what the part cost. I will never use this place again.

I saw the Deal for a Heating Tune-up on Angie's Big Deal from "TEX-PERTS" on Wednesday and a huge cold front was coming that week-end so I was really worried. I had not started the gas heater unit in 2 years! I called and I was scheduled for an appointment the following Monday at 0930 and I'll be darned if "Juan" didn't show up right on time! A huge plus for me because I am always on a schedule. He asked me when was the last time the unit was turned on and when I told him he asked to go straight to the unit to check it instead of just fiddling with the thermostat. He came down with the broken part and gave me a quote and in less than half an hour - I HAD HEAT! The technician, JUAN, was patient and gave me great advice and before he replaced the part he explained what it did and why it needed to be replaced - another huge plus since I had been burned by one of the local "big dogs" before. He took the time to explain in great detail the pros and cons of my "old" unit. And offered several options AND he explained the entire bill to me so I wouldn't feel as though he was taking advantage of the situation or gouging me because the cold weather was upon us!!! AND because of his outstanding service - when it comes time to replace this" old" unit - I will be getting it from TEX-PERTS! FAST, EFFICIENT, COURTEOUS AND KNOWLEDGEABLE! AWESOME!!

They did a great job overall. They showed up on the day and time scheduled. Checked the air conditioner for efficiency and made sure there were no leaks. Ensured the heating coils were operating correctly and gave my old heating and air system a few more years of life.

This is my first use of Angie's list and I am impressed! I have had tons of issues with the quality of air in my home. I called Tex-perts to come and give me an estimate of what it would take to fix this issue. Edgar the technician arrived on time and was very respectful and knowledgable. He took the time to show me several areas of concern and gave me recommendations on how to go about getting them fixed. He could have easily set about finding numerous ways to charge me money for the sell or repair of things that are not normally in their purview; however, he listed several areas to have fixed first, and only after those were completed would he suggest their services. Even after all of his time spent with me, I was not charged a single dime. It is because of his honesty and candor that I will use Tex-perts for all my future HVAC servicing and repairs (hopefully not too many repairs). I called Tex-perts to let them know how impressed I was and to report what a great employee they have in Edgar. This one encounter was worth the yearly cost of my membership with Angie's list!

Edgar promptly arrived as promised and quickly diagnosed the problem--a loose capacitor in the furnace electronics compartment. Instead of upselling or falsely mis-diagnosing, he simply reattached the capacitor and only charged me for the service charge. Thank you!

They serviced my AC unit twice. Once in the summer and as well as provided an additional checkup over the fall. Andy is professional and efficient as well as courteous and informative, proving his grasp of his workmanship and knowledge of his profession. I would highly recommend his work to anyone.

A+++ service from making appointment, service date reminders, office staff when I call with any questions, and including excellent on site service! Mr. Jenkins hires only the best! It's obvious when you use this company! Thanks for another great year of service!

It was my first service day so it took a little longer plus they did the whole house in and out. They actually called a day early to see if they could come out if it worked in my schedule which it did. They were on time, explained what they were going to do and she was very professional.

They did a great job and didn't try to sell me any extras that were not needed.

I was not home when they arrived on the second scheduled date as they had to cancel the first date. That was fine. Then they charged my wife 79. She called me at work and I had a special on Angie's list. The technician would not honor the $59 even though I sent a receipt from Angie's list and still charged more. UNACCEPTABLE!!!!

I bought an Angie's big deal for the tune up. No problem with scheduling and technician arrived on time. My inside unit is in the attic and inspection went smoothly. I was impressed when he used duct tape to get up some insulation that fell on the carpet from the attic entry. Many technicians would have ignored it. He found some air leaks and fixed those. During outside unit check, he found problems with the dual capacitor and startup kit. I have no idea what these are, but he showed me the two items before I agreed to replace them. There were clearly some electrical burn marks around the startup kit. The capacitor was apparently below acceptable levels. I should say my unit is 13 years old. I hope the repairs will give me another few years with the system. Technician was very professional.. I plan to use Tex Perts again for the heating tune up.

The call was scheduled their technician showed up on time. They were very professional, respectful, and friendly. They were supposed to clean the unit as a part of the service and they cleaned what was easily accessible, but they didn't clean anything that was hard to get to - which is what needed to be cleaned. Unfortunately, they said I had a leak in my drain pan and they recommended that I replace the whole unit! I called out a second service company to look at it and they found that the drain pan was merely clogged and that the ductwork had come loose. I felt like TexPerts was trying to get me to spend A LOT more money than was necessary to fix a very minor problem.

Before deciding on which company to hire, we had called different companies on the Angie's list. We liked the receptionist's way of patiently answering all our questions in a friendly fashion. Later we got a call from local manager, Chris, who answered our questions regarding the type of chemicals likely to be used etc. Our conversation with Chris was the clincher for us to hire his team, even if I felt their price was a bit on high side. We were very pleased with the thoroughness in how Chris evaluated all possible areas with insects etc. and his selection of the insecticide to be used. I can understand his expertise because it turns out that he is a certified entomologist. Pest control person, David, was very meticulous and thorough. Other different persons came for the different types of services listed above. ALL of them arrived on time, did their work with care and professionalism. Actually, it rained the evening of the pesticide treatment. They sent back David to re-spray the outside of the house. We are very pleased with this company and are strongly considering them for future services.

Full disclosure, I've put off writing this review for over 6 months hoping to resolve my issue with Craig, the TexPerts owner/operator. Well here goes. It went really good at first. Texperts performed the first maintenance on my A/C like I requested. They were timely and professional when doing the work at my house. As part of their maintenance plan, I prepaid 3 visits to my house. To-date, they have performed only 1 maintenance session. This summer, my A/C unit stopped working and the upstairs of my house stopped cooling properly. I called TexPerts to come out to the house to inspect the issue. The technician that came out did a check for about 15-20 minutes and informed me that I needed to have my whole condensing unit and upstairs coil replaced (for around $5-6k). He wasn't able to find the source of the refrigerant leak was causing my A/C unit to stop working, so his diagnosis was to replace everything. I would have like a little more due diligence, but in all honesty, it was pretty hot in my attic and maybe the tech just didn't want to spend the time necessary to do a full check. Obviously with a purchase like this, I was going to get a second opinion due to the cost. I proceeded to have no less than 5 other A/C companies come out that all said basically the same thing, that I needed to replace a small part in the upstairs coil unit that was regulating when my A/C would shut on/off. They each were even able to use this refrigerant tracker to locate the exact source of the leak in my attic. Craig told me that he would be happy to replace that part too, but it would have been nice to have that option brought up first, and to have his tech be a little more thorough when trying to locate the leak. Craig also said that it was a temporary fix that might not last long (which to be fair is probably right as it's an older unit ~9 years). I received 5 other quotes ranging from $300-500 to fix the issue by replacing the part and topping off the coolant. When I brought this up with Craig (who at this point had been pretty responsive to a potential $5-6k customer), he said that if I decided to use another company, it would be best to switch over my maintenance program to that company. Fair enough. I would have said the same thing as a fellow small-business owner. Basically I could get a temporary fix (that might last years) for 10% of the cost of replacing the whole system. I decided to go with the temporary fix but to not to use TexPerts as they were not able to properly diagnose my A/C issue like the other 5 companies that came out. At this point I simply did not trust their technicians to properly maintain my A/C system. When I subsequently decided to have the work done by another company, I called back in June 2013 to get a refund on the 2 visits that I had prepaid for their maintenance plan. For over 6 months now, I have spoken to Tammy, their main office receptionist about 5-6 times trying to get a call back from Craig. Each time she informs me that he got the last message, but has been too busy to return my call. The least he could do is have enough character to tell me over the phone why I didn't deserve a refund on my prepaid visits, after he recommended I use another company's maintenance service. I have tried to call about once a month to get ahold of Craig and he has yet to return my calls. To be honest, it's not so much about getting a refund (probably only a few hundred dollars), as it is to be treated well as a customer. As much as Craig and I talked about replacing my unit over the phone, to not receive a call-back in 6 months, that's a customer service issue. Bottom line for me, as long as TexPerts sees you as a potential source of recurring revenue, you will get the attention of Craig. Once you decide to go with another company, he completely ignores you like you don't exist. On a separate note, Tammy (their receptionist) has been a real pleasure to talk to the past 6 months. I've thoroughly enjoyed getting to know her, probably too well. And Craig, if you decide to read this, I would appreciate a call-back, you have my number. -Jonathan

They were fantastic. I was having a problem with my A/C. They arrived as scheduled and he started to inspect the inside of the unit. I explained a problem to him that I was having when I turned my A/C on it was making a noise. I explained to him that when it made this noise I would shut the system off and turn it back on and it would sound alright. He immediately knew what the problem was. He explained to me that it had to do with the startup & the next time I needed servicing on my A/C unit I could have a startup kit installed and he gave me the price of what it would be. I have explained this problem to another company that I had used in the past and they didn't know what the problem was so I was very impressed with this gentleman's knowledge. Since I am in a wheelchair, I asked him if he could go outside and wash the filter (I have a reusable filter). He took it outside, washed it, dried it, and brought it back in. He was very polite, knowledgeable, answered all of my questions, and I will definitely use this company again in the future.

From start to finish, a well run operation. Craig is a master in airflow. We bombarded him with numerous questions regarding airflow design for the house, different brand names and benefits, product warranties, rebates, tax credits, how they would treat our home and what changes they could make to improve our overall comfort. In his words, "I'm here as a consultant" and we sincerely appreciated it. We had two other companies provide estimates and we felt like a used car salesman showed up at our door. Craig/Texperts simply presented an analysis of our situation, made recommendations based on our wishes and presented a balanced cost estimate for a whole system replacement. NO PRESSURE! Craig was responsive over email and the phone to our questions between our meeting, after we received the estimate and prior to installation. We felt taken care of. The crew showed up and began working promptly at 0930. They completed approximately 5pm. Our system was in the attic above the 2nd story so it was hot and small space to work with. They completed all work as promised. The service manager came out approx 2 weeks later to do a final check over the entire system, ask if we had any comfort issues and follow up on the interlock switch etc. All was good. Nothing ever goes perfect, here were some minor items that caused frustrations but were forgivable and quickly fixed. Small glitches: 1. Carpets were never covered with cloth as promised until I caught it later (after the old system was removed and new system was placed in attic). A few muddy spots and grass clippings plus pink insulation were speckled all down our carpeted steps. It later cleaned up easily but was truly avoidable. 2. They had to shut down my downstairs unit because of a wiring issue from the previous installer.The circuit breaker was left off for the outside compressor so it got pretty hot in the house before we figured out what happened and got it turned back on. 3. The entire new unit stopped working the next day. The panel interlock switch on the furnace somehow was not making contact. Texperts quickly returned to readjust the paneling framing and the interlock fully seated with no further problem. 4. The filing of the warranty paperwork and extended warranty was confusing. I asked one of the installers and called the office and talked to another guy, the answers varied and felt unsure. In the end, it would have been nice to simply hear everyone say, "Tammy in the office handles it all, she will file it and you will hear from her". I called later and she confirmed it all. 5. The extended parts and labor warranty is still in question and not what we expected. We will update later. Regardless, we will absolutely use them again when/if our other downstairs AC system dies.

I have used him before and he has always done a great job. I have no complaints and he checked everything to make sure that everything was working correctly. I will continue to use him.

It went fine. I don't know if he ended up recharging anything or not but he told us that we only had probably a few more years left done on our air conditioner and we needed to get it replaced but sooner rather than later. That's the kind of thing I would have gotten a second opinion on but I wasn't worried about it because I have a home warranty. I didn't have to pay anything extra. The guy was nice, he did his inspection and gave us his evaluation. If I was going to have to spend several thousand dollars on a new air conditioner then I probably would have got a second opinion before I did that because it's a big investment.

They have always been very reasonable. They are very honest and they've always been very prompt and professional. I've continued to utilize them throughout the years. They were one of the first companies I contacted with getting on Angies List.

They did a good job. We're well satisfied.
