Description of Work: they added refrigerant to a system with holes in it nd the refrigerant lasted less than 48 hours. They charged $279 kon top of the $59 already spent. This was the second visit to this home and they should have done the ethical thing instead of squeezing money from a customer & refused to service a system which needed to be replaced. They said they would give an estimate for a new system but never did.

Description of Work: You get what you pay for. Free freon not recommended by technician if more than a pound is needed. Have to pay $80/pound extra. Am not sure tune-up was performed as expected, but, unit was looked at and heat pump recommended.

Description of Work: A/C motor broke and a service tech showed up within the hour to diagnosis and repair. Though there is always mark ups in parts with any company, the service was excellent and repair done quickly. I plan on using Tex-Perts again for seasonal services and will recommend to family and friends.

Description of Work: Purchased certificate for 24 point AC checkup. The company called when the technician was on the way, and he came on time and worked in a professional manner. He was polite and friendly. I was disappointed that he could not clean out all of the debris around the outside AC unit without removing all of the casing (and therefore costing additional money), but I could see how cleaning it was tough.

Description of Work: First repair person was two and a half hours late for the appointment for maintaince inspection. Arrived nearly 7 p.m. He was paid the $59 Angie's list price. Told me a/c was fine. Handyman had insisted it needed work, so called for a more experienced repairman. He said coils very badly needed cleaning, but, if he cleaned them, it might break the unit, which is very old. Charged $250 to hose down the outside part of the unit and said the unit might break at any time and yes, the duct work needed replacing. That the unit wasn't worth cleaning the coils. Called a third a/c company--this time recommended by the home warranty people-- as I thought the a/c needed to be replaced. This a/c company said all the unit needed was to clean the coils, that it was functioning fine and there was nothing wrong with the ductwork. In other words, the second Tex-perts man, alledgedly the more experienced man, did not give me accurate information about the a/c and over charged for the work he did do. The first Tex-perts man was unconscienly late.

Description of Work: They check the intire system inside and out and scine it was only 2 or 3 years old they had to add a little freon. They also checked an i believe oiled some of the moving part inside and outside. I would reccomend them to friends. They showed up at the time they they promised.

Description of Work: AC compressor on a three year old unit went out. Texperts did not bother to check whether it was under warranty. In fact, the technician told me that i "probably didn't have a good warranty". The unit is dated 2009 and could plainly be seen. I found out from another company that by law, new units require at least a 5 year warranty. They quoted me $3,589 for a new compressor and freon, or $3,770 for a brand new unit. The new unit was recommended because "all the parts would go bad soon". I ended up paying Total Comfort AC and Heating $900 for installation of new compressor, freon, and removal and reinstallation and cleaning of coil. The capacitor, compressor and filter dryer were all under warranty. I saved close to $3,000 with an honest company.
