Description of Work: I purchased a Big Deal from TEX-PERTS Cooling and Heating on July 22, 2013, and the deal said they would contact me within 2 days. A week later I still had not heard from them, so I sent an email requesting they contact me to schedule service. After 3 days I still had not heard from them, so when I received a survey from Angie's List asking if I need assistance getting the company to contact me, I indicated that I did. After 3 more days of not hearing from TEX-PERTS, I contacted Angie's List by email and requested assistance in getting the company to contact me within a week or canceling my Big Deal. Angie's List contacted me by email with this request form for a refund. I waited a couple of days to see if I would hear from the company before requesting a refund. I understand that this might be a busy time for an air conditioning company, but I at least expect an email telling me when I might expect service or explaining the problem.

Description of Work: I used Tex-Bert's after calling several other company's. I just needed my a/c tuned up before I sold my house. They where fast and efficient. The price was much less than their competitors.

Description of Work: Replaced my 12 year old York A/C unit (had nothing but trouble with it, from the beginning) with a 4 ton Trane XL16i. I chose Tex-Perts based on their Angie's list reviews. The owner of the company, Craig came out to do an assessment of the house and based the type of AC unit on our needs. He even made some suggestions on how to make my second upstairs unit more efficient. I was so impressed with the fact that the owner came out! You rarely find that kind of customer service in this day and age. The next day, Anthony came out and did the install. Talk about a hard worker! He got right to it and I had the Trane unit up and running after a few hours. I was impressed with this company right from the beginning. They are extremely knowledgeable and very professional. The quality of their work is top notch. I would definitely recommend them if you are considering the purchase of a new unit or for routine maintenance on your existing unit.

Description of Work: The provider was punctual, professional and informative. I really appreciate learning about appliances or better ways to take care of my home or belongings. His answers to question were brief and understandable and advice for future maintenance realistic.

Description of Work: Check 3 units. They found a problem in 2units and we fixed one of them. They discussed the options. Perhaps they were just trying to up-sell but I did not get that impression...it seemed they were showing potential problems. The check and clean was $120.00 for 3 units and the repair was about $180.

Description of Work: I don't like A/C repair people because I have had nothing but bad experiences with every single one I have ever come in contact with in my life. I used Angie's list to find what I thought would be a reputable A/C company and booked a Saturday appointment with this company. They only work on Saturdays once a month so I had to schedule the appointment weeks in advance. Today (Thursday) I get a call from the company letting me know that they would not be at my home on Saturday because the weather forecast was calling for cold temperatures (between 40 and 70 degrees) on the day of my appointment. Really? Are they meterologist? According to the weather channel... saturday's temperature calls for a sunny day with a low of 54 and a high of 81. This is the most ridiculous excuse I have ever heard! I will NEVER attempt to use this company again. Also, this companies customer services representatives sound like they hate their job. Maybe they have a good reason to.

Description of Work: Thje company came out and did a bangup job with easily understood explanations and stated there was only 1 slight problem, but it should last for a few more years without repair. This is the 2nd time I have used Tex-Perts and they offer outstanding service.

Description of Work: I was very impressed with this company. Scheduling the appointment was easy, and I received a call prior to technician's arrival to let me know that he was on the way. The technician, Juan, was very polite and professional. He even took the time to talk me through all of the checks he performed. My unit did not require any repairs. This was simply a semi annual tune up. The price was much more reasonable than some other companies had quoted, so I went ahead and enrolled in their maintenance plan. Overall, I believe this company is run by honest people who do quality work.

Description of Work: Performed the service as advertised even though my older a/c unit required a more expensive freon. I liked the service and decided on adding a yearly maintenance contract.

Description of Work: We have two very old AC compressors and wanted to have the checked pre-summer. Technician was honest, did not try to sell new units as noted ours were functioning well but due to typical duration of use for each compressor they could last for years or months. Fair assessment.

Description of Work: Performed a very thorough annual check of the AC and found leaks at the evaporator coils. As this was a 15 year old inefficient airconditioner, I opted to have it replaced before the summer heat drove the replacement prices skyward. TexPerts was aware that I had an American Home Shield contract and knew that any problems discovered would be dealt with by another contractor.
