Apparently their service is working because everything is under control here. If there is any problem in between visits, they will come out for free. As long as I pay them a bi-monthly visit, they will come out. I pay them $74 or something like that. In between times if I have a problem, I just call them and they come out for free. I wish they were a little bit cheaper. I will use them again in the future if I need to.

On Saturday, July 24, 2010, the ABC sales representative came to my home to give me an estimate on spraying for bugs. During our conversation, he said that the overgrown parts of my yard needed to go for the treatment to be effective and that ABC could do that for me. After we discussed what needed to be trimmed and cut down, we stood in my backyard going over, again, what I was paying for, which included cutting the yard, trimming the bushes, and clearing the overgrowth of sunflower and bamboo-like weeds. He knew I wanted it all gone, and we agreed on the price of $420. On Wednesday, July 28, the ABC yard crew was at my home. Upon returning home from work, I noticed immediately that they had not cleared the bamboo-like weeds. Assuming the weather was a factor, I emailed the ABC sales rep about the problem, which he never responded to. My job does not give me much opportunity to make outgoing calls so I kept expecting an email. (He gave me his email address. If he doesn?t look at his email, he should have told me.) Consequently, I called the ABC office, and I spoke to a customer service rep who said she would take care of it. Shortly afterward, she called me back and said the sales rep told her that the bamboo-like weeds were not part of the agreement, that I had ?misunderstood.? (He never had the courtesy to actually call me himself.) I didn?t misunderstand anything. I asked her: why would I want those weeds to remain? Why didn?t the sales rep tell me that the removal of those weeds would cost extra? Why didn?t he ask me specifically if I wanted them removed, if he knew that this was not part of the agreement? He never did, and if he said otherwise, he was lying. He was the quintessential salesman, and that is not a compliment. During my conversation with the customer service rep, she asked me if the sales rep could meet me on Monday to talk about it. I had taken off Friday, July 30, from work because the ABC pest control person was scheduled that day. I wanted the sales rep to come back that day too. No?he expected me to take more time off from work to take care of something I had already paid him $420 to take care. On July 30, I called about 9:15 a.m. and asked for a manager. I told the manager about my problem, and he told me he would speak to the sales rep and come out to see the overgrowth in question. By 1:15 p.m., I still had not heard from him, so I called again. Within a few minutes, the manager did return my call and said he would send a crew to finish the job on Monday, which I agreed to. Eventually, the sales rep did leave a message on my answering machine, saying he was sorry for the misunderstanding, and that the yard work would be done "at no additional change." I nearly choked when I heard that. I had been ABC's customer for less than a week, and already I was regretting my decision. I not only had ABC company clean up my yard AND spray my house (to the tune of $879.06, I also signed two contracts for a year?s worth of service for yard work AND pest control. I was sorry I ever entered into those agreements with ABC because I had been jerked around so much already. I paid the ABC sales representative in advance, stupidly. I entered into these agreements in good faith. ABC got my money. If my check hadn?t cleared, they would would have been on the phone wanting quick action on payment. But when I asked for action on the work I paid for, there was a lot of foot-dragging. I have worked with many service companies, and this is the WORST customer service I have ever experienced.

In the middle of December we noticed that near our central air system there was a handful of insulation that was still in the vent. He came back out to look at the ducts in January and he said he would call us back. He starting talking to us about our water heater and things that he would need to do to make the vents better and how much more it would cost us. He is unwilling to fix the problems and just wants to charge for the additional items.

I am working with Angie's List to resolve this matter. The homeowner has several holes to the outside of their home that are letting in rodents from the outdoors. This is not an air conditioning issue. I met with the homeowner and showed her what the problems were with her house. I offered a solution to her problems. She refuses to pay for the additional work which was not in the scope of her original contract. This problem has arisen several months after the initial work was completed to her satisfaction at a fair price that she agreed to. She was asked several times if she was satisfied with the original work and agreed that she was. We were contracted to replace her ductwork and blow in insulation to her attic. She has outside venting that is open and not sealed properly and to code. Additionally she has a large louvred panel on each side of her home that is not sealed to the outside, one of which has a substantial hole in it. I am saddened that she has chosen this forum to try and deface my company. I was out of the office with the flu for one weeks time. During this week the homeowner called my office and was told she would be contacted upon my return to work. I called her early the morning of my return. She agreed that she was told that I was out sick. The insulation that came into her home is from the furnace closet inside her home. Her furnace was installed by another company. They did a poor job and it was not permitted. This was a factor in why they called my company initially. They did not want to correct any of the issues with the previous installation. They only wanted to address the problem with their ductwork and add insulation. They agreed to have the work done immediately and the work was completed on time and on schedule. They paid us and signed the work order stating that the work was done to their satisfaction. The rodent problem they are having is not even a new problem. She has admitted that it has been an ongoing issue with their home. The problem with the ceiling in their closet is also a pre existing condition. This report is completely out of character with any other review that we have ever had. We anxiously await contact from Angie's List to help them mediate with the homeowner. I have tried to resolve this issue with the homeowner to no avail.

Edgar & George arrived as scheduled. (I had called for service at 11:00am & they were here by 1:00pm--pretty quick service). They are so courteous & concerned about keeping the house clean. They got right to work on investigating my problem (heat pump wasn'[t warming the house). Diagnosed the problem. Gave me the estimate for the start up kit. (The house heated up very quickly after their arrival). Installed it quite quickly, tidied up, & were on there way. Easy, unfretful experience. Good guys. I will always use them if they keep performing the way they do--this is my 2nd time.
Description of Work: Found unit on high pressure switch tipped at condensor. Could not find fault or dity filters. Added start kit to help co,pressor at start up with start amps to increase lynity of compressor.

Based upon my experience, absolutely DO NOT use ABC for any work. My project was supposed to take 5 days to complete. It took over 90 days and I can only assume they are "complete" as I never heard from them again after their "last" arrival at my home to fix all the items they didn't do correctly in the 1st place. Apart from the complete lack of delivering a quality job on time and with minimal headache, I spent untold hours trying to hold them accountable to work schedules, quality, etc. They would say something was complete, when it wasn't. They would say a workman would be at the house on xx/xx day and the worker wouldn't show AND all of this with NO communication from them. This was absolutely the WORST contractor experience I have ever had.

Weekly or biweekly lawn services are provided by this company for $245 per month. The mow, blow, "trim", "weed" service is often sloppy and rushed. I feed my outdoor pets on paper plates and in plastic bowls. Whoever performs the blowing tends to irresponsibly blow away these items so that they end up being strewn all around the yard, whereas it would have been relatively effortless for the blower to quickly pick these items up and stack them in a corner. On multiple occasions they have mangled fragile plants with their weed whacker. A couple of yard sculptures have also been fractured. I've also contracted with their tree trimming service in the past, but the results were less than optimal. The results of the regularly scheduled lawn service seem to depend largely on which employees are working on that particular day. On good days when they have responsible crew members working, the results are actually satisfactory. Some days are better than others, but I shouldn't have to stand out in the yard to supervise every time they provide lawn service. Good service should be automatic. There should be some display of pride on their part for services rendered. I should qualify that whoever does the mowing seems to be doing a good job. If I notice significant improvement in the quality of services, I will be happy to raise my rating to a higher grade.

We ended the time thinking my thermostat was the problem but I later re-read part of the manual and realized how unclear part of the instructions were. Technician helped me have the confidence to understand what to look for. It was NOT their thermostat so I think the help I received was exceptional.

My unit was continuously running (even when turned off) and was intermittently blowing cool air. I called Tex-perts and they worked with my schedule to send someone out. I received a call when repairman was on his way. George was courteous and professional. He was able to diagnose problem and took the time to explain the issues. He made needed repairs and didn't try to sell me things I didn't need.

I have never used them on. I had air-conditioning that quite running around Thanksgiving but when he turned it on, it ran. So he is really did not fix anything. I think something happened to it because my renters turn it down to 60. They don’t care, it is not their house. I did have a coupon and it could have turned it up and it would have been like overcharged. I just thought it was the holidays, and they got out here so fast. I called them that morning and they said that they could out by that afternoon. They came in by 11 o’clock. He was very courteous and wanted to talk to me about duct work advance, and he was professional. I was not going to like not pay him. It was the holidays. I really just called him because they had good reviews. That was the reason. They did everything they were supposed to do and were to see if there was a problem which means more work. I will use them again as they were very professional. He was real good and he knew what he was doing. They are real clean. They were on time. The lady that took the call was really friendly and prompt and did not act like that they did have any time for you. They covered their shoes when they came which I liked. They inquired if they have anything else to do, asked me if I need more help. They were strung on. I think he knew that I am an Angies List member. He inquired if I had a coupon and I told him that I am not going to use it and informed him that I had called them just for the good recommendation. Price wise I think $79 is incredible for a service call. I would pay that any day. Usually it is $99. They called me and said that he is on his way, literally it took them half an hour. So I would say that $79 is worth the price even though that was just to turn it on. That was okay. We don’t have good appliance repair people here in this town but we have good air conditioning people . So the competition is high.

I am thoroughly satisfied with their service. Plus, Their charge was about half of what previous HVAC maintenance firms charged me for the same service.
Description of Work: Service check of my HVAC system to ensure both units (upstairs and downstairs) are ready for the coming colder months. Edgar was thorough and professional. He came at the appointed time and pointed out potential problem areas that need to be addressed. I appreciate his candor in describing the relative imminence of the need for corrective action. Bottom line is my heating system is good until summer rolls around again. The reason I contacted Tex-perts for this service is my satifaction with their installation of an ac condenser in one of my cooling units earlier this year.
