Overall, their a/c employee educated me in the how to save money and how to care for my a/c vents. I did not feel rushed. Am happy to find someone that knows their job very well. All of my questions were answered.
Description of Work: They took really good care of me. They had a cancellation and they were able to squeeze me in that day. What a life saver, especially when your a/c goes out. Was so happy with their professionalism and depth of knowledge that I hired them to come back again to service my two other a/c units. I was able to take care of a minor problem on the 2nd day visit on the opposite a/c unit. Whew!!

Called to schedule the ac tuneup and was happy about the quickness they could come out but the earliest they could come out in the morning was 9am and they didn't want to do it later in the day bc of the heat in attic. I reluctantly agreed but was not very happy about that because it would require me to miss a few hours of work and would have most likely had to use some vacation. Anyway, I called the morning of and they said that an urgent call had come in and they wouldn't be out until 9:30 or 10, but said if there was a better time for me. I said after work so we scheduled for 5:30. Andy the technician was good and a straight shooter. Only two things he didn't do well were he didn't know that the Big Deal came with a free pound of refrigerant. So I pulled up the email and showed him so no big deal. Then when he left he didn't put something back in the outside unit to where it would work. I think it was a fuse or something. That night it was hot and the ac wasn't working like it did so I was worried that the Tune up ruined my unit. But the next day after work I looked at the outside unit and saw the fuse and plugged it in and now its back to normal.

We called the service at 8:00 A.M. They said they could have a service man out around 2 or 3 in the afternoon. Around 2 p.m. they called to say the technician would be at our house a little after three. At 3 p.m. they called to say the technician was on his way and would be at the house around 3:15 or 3:20. The serviceman arrived on time, was courteous and well-prepared. He fixed the unit and did the regular maintainence required. It took about one hour, We were very pleased with everything.

Took advantage of the special they ran on this. They were very professional, promptly scheduled a time and then met that time. As I had to leave work to travel home, they called me ahead of time at work to meet them at the house. George, the service pro met me at the house and then proceeded to do the inspection on each system. One unit was in the attic and he checked it with no problem. A previous company I had used did not bother to go into the attic when they did the checkup (even though they tried to convince me they had looked at it). All that company wanted to do was sell me a new system. George was very thorough and checked all the indoor and outdoor units. Put boot covers on when in the house. Did not try to sell me new units or upgraded systems. Honestly gave me his best conclusion on one unit that had been giving me trouble and explained why it was having trouble. Replenished the freon and it has been working good since. Of all the companies I have used this was the most professional and dedicated company I have ever used. I will have them back for future work and would recommend them to others.

I called JP and she scheduled a service call to have my central air conditioner checked. George arrived and was very cordial. George assessed the problem, checked the a/c, and finished the work expeditiously. I needed 2 pound of freon?? which raised the cost of the service call - but necessary to properly service my a/c. I want to thank JP and George both for being customer oriented and meeting my and my family's needs - a properly working a/c unit (brrrrr:)) Thank you George. I've asked George to have Tex-perts follow up with me to give me an estimate on the cost to replace my a/c unit.
Description of Work: George removed the A/C filter that was had been sucked up into the coils and replaced the a/c filter. The unit was checked, line blown out. Outside, George checked the a/c unit, added freon, checked and washed the unit. I've had Tex-perst come out previously to do a heater seasonal check. I was very happy with the service person (i forgot his name) who was very thorough and explained everything to me. Truly a customer oriented company. I am very pleased. Thank you. And so I called them, without hesitation, for today's service call.

Everyone with ABC is very professional. From your first call to the office to set up service, to the service techs that come out, everyone is polite and courteous.
Description of Work: We have used ABC for most everything outside our home. Whenever something comes up, I know I can call ABC and it will be taken care of. They have taken care of our lawn for 2 years+. We have the best looking lawn on the block! They keep the beds and trees trimmed and looking great! Their holiday decorating crew is amazing! When they wrap a tree with lights, the strands are less than an inch apart! They custom fit lights to the eaves of our house. I can't say enough on how easy they are to deal with.

Was selling the house and repairs/service was based on the inspection report. Called Tex-perts after difficulty in trying to make an appointment in the evening with another company due to work schedule and also was closing that week and needed someone quickly. Craig was very flexible with great customer service He was able to get a tech out to the house the next day. The cost was in the estimated range and called to let me when the cost exceeded the estimated cost.

I appreciated that even though it was 7PM, serviceman George arrived so I could have a peaceful night's rest without worrying about all that water that was accumulating under my indoor unit. George was knowledgeable and efficient in repairing my air conditioner unit's problem quickly. He explained how to prevent future drain problems & honored Tex-Pert's promotional discount that even saved me some money. I will be calling on them in the future to provide a complete unit inspection & service.

Anthony and Mike arrived on time Feb 28th and replaced the whole system in about 7 hours. The old air handler was badly rusted and fell apart while they were bringing it down the steps from the attic. A piece hit the wall and broke through the sheetrock. Anthony and Mike immediately asked me to come and see the damage and stated they would repair the wall after they finished the installation. They made a trip to the closest home improvement store for sheetrock, repaired the hole, taped and floated around it and then came back later to paint the area. The repair was done so well that the damaged area can't be identified! Craig came to the house and made sure we were satisified with the new system. He also had his office submit the paperwork for the CPS rebate. The office called a week later to see if we had any additional questions that had not been answered.
Description of Work: We contacted 3 companies with top ratings on Angie's List to give us proposals to replace the HVAC system in our 20 year old house. We are in an area that doesn't have natural gas so we have to use a heat pump/airhandler system. Craig Tuffelmire from Tex-Perts returned my call within an hour of our initial contact with their office, listened to what I said, asked questions about how well the current system was working and made an appointment to come to the house on Feb 22nd. Craig was prompt, professional and made several recommendations and explained the pros and cons of each one. We had asked each of the companies to give us a comprehensive, complete proposal for a Trane brand15- SEER System. The Tex-Perts proposal was the middle cost of the 3, but, the most complete, and included a no interest, 60 month payment schedule. After hearing the 3 presentations we chose Tex-Perts and arranged a Feb 28th installation date.

I am sorry that the office did not let the home owner know that they were running behind. Any service call scheduled after the first call of the day is impossible to give an exact time for. We always give a range not an exact time that we will be at the home. This does not mean that he shouldn't be kept abreast of the delay however. He was originally told 11am to 2 pm. He called my office at 2:05 pm wondering where the technician was. He was told there was a technician in his neighborhood that had run into a repair at his previous call and would be available shortly, he then cancelled his maintenance call. I was informed that there was a problem when i arrived at the office a few minutes later. I immediately called both of the numbers that I had for him to apologize. About 15 to 20 minutes later he returned my call. I apologized and told him that there was a technician less than 5 minutes away in his neighborhood finishing another call, and that if he needed to move his tune up to another time whether it was in the evening or over the weekend I would accomodate his schedule. He demanded a refund and I told him since he purchased it online he would have to use the online service for the refund. He began to yell at me and told me that we must be too busy and he would help by not using us. He then hung up on me. I am sorry that we were later than the time frame that he was given by the office. I have spoken to all of the office personnel about updating customers if we are running later than the anticipated time.

When they came out, the guys were very nice. They did most of the work, including going into the attic to assess the system. They brought me the sticker that stays on the unit upstairs because it was falling off and they were worried about it getting lost in the insulation. The convinced my husband that our system had to be repaired and replaced a couple of very expensive parts, to the tune of $430.00. I remain suspicious that they were out to make money and screw us over. Makes me sad. I don't know for a fact they did. They may have been proactive and the repairs needed to be done. However, with the luck we have had, I just don't know. The techs themselves were very nice. I have no intention of besmirching their conduct, just feel that they are required to sell parts in order to keep their jobs.
Description of Work: We purchased the A/C tune up and cleaning. Within 15 minutes they had "suggestions" to maximize our A/C output. We have had absolutely no problems with this system so far. Our bills were reasonable and there was no reason to expect any problems. Now, I am suspicious of all A/C people because the last two companies I have used did horribly shoddy work. The first company took a screwdriver and poked holes in my compressor. I had to buy a new A/C system (from someone else). The second guy, who replaced the system, did a slovenly job. Our city inspector signed off on it without even going up in the attic, despite my demands he did. I am very distrustful of all of the companies, and this one has my concerns up already. They convinced my husband that we needed to replace a cylanoid? that was leaking as well as putting a new on on that will assist in the "start-up". This cost us another $430.00.

I have left a message with this home owner and we are still awaiting a response. My technicians are not required to sell anything as part of their job description. There are multiple happy reviews on this site stating that the customer was happy to hear that they did not need repairs as part of their maintenance. When repairs are needed or suggested my technicians are trained to explain and prioritize any and all repairs or suggestions for better performance. The dual capacitor that she had a problem with was leaking and was verified by myself and the service manager. It is common practice for all bad parts to be returned to the office so that there is no question that we did the right thing for the home owner. The start kit was suggested because of the amperage readings on the outdoor unit were higher than it should have been running at. The air conditioning system in question was an entry level builders grade unit. The home owner has stated that she was concerned that it was installed "shoddily" by another company. It stands to reason that some repairs or corrections would be needed because of this. I stand by the fact that her repairs were needed and that she was given the option to either do the repairs or not to do the repairs. I have offered to remove the parts and refund her money if she's changed her mind about her purchase and am awaiting a response. I am sorry that she has had bad experiences with other companies. A significant portion of people who find us on Angie's List have had a bad experience with other companies before they find my company and that is why they choose to use our services. As always I am personally available to all of our customers on my cell phone at 210-772-5911 as well as the main office number. I am regretful that she did not bring her concerns to me or anyone at the office before posting her review. I hope that she returns my call soon to resolve this matter.

This was the first time I have used this company, and I found them through Angie's List. The two technicians Edgar and Andy arrived a little late, but that is understandable because I live in a new area that is not on GPS. They were very pleasant, polite and knowledgeable. They were very neat and clean and even used shoe covers when they were in the house! They did a complete system check and diagnosed a problem I have had with an unpleasant musty odor I have noticed this spring when running one of the units on A/C as "Dirty Sock Syndrome". They offered to spray the coils, but my house is only a litttle over a year old, and the unit is under warranty, so my husband called the builder who is sending the installer out to see about it. My husband and I were both very impressed with the Tex-Pert service and the technicians. We will use them again and recommend them highly!

I called and was scheduled for a technician to come out and give my system a onceover. The tech arrived on time. He cleaned all the drains, and checked over the unit and addressed my questions. I opted for a starter kit to help with the electric load at startup. I was very pleased with the knowledgeability of this technician. I was quite satisfied with this company, and got a service contract with them. I am ready for the Texas summer temps!

I could not be more pleased with their work!!! I always feel like I'm being talked down to by AC guys, but not by Tex-Perts. These guys are in the business of making you happy, and it shows in every interraction with the company. It is clear that Craig has chosen his people based on proficiency, professionalism and attitude. And he's done a great job. Craig encouraged me to look-up the parts he was installing. Other companies I have dealt with don't want you to do that - otherwise you'd find out they're charging you $200 for a $5 capacitor! But craig is actually honest, so he wants you to be informed. He was very responsive to my emails throughout the week, humoring me through several configurations until we landed on the one I wanted. When the installers arrived (on-time!), I got tense because the parts-warehouse had told Edgar (installer) that the F200 filter wouldn't fit in the F100 base. But he was perfectly willing to try it, and behold! the manufacturer's documentation was correct! (This tense moment brought to you by parts warehouse, not by Tex-Perts!) Throughout the day, the team was professional, courteous and pleasant. Craig and I spent 20 minutes comparing notes on favorite authors, and exchanged a few to read next. During the install, there was one surprise, about which Craig was disproportionately embarrassed, imo. They had to call an audible, but did so with ease. They increased the size of my intake vent to accomodate the new filter base. oh no! Construction! But Edgar is an absolute surgeon with his tools, and it looks GREAT! It even made my air-handler quieter! I never realized that the old vent was 'humming' or 'whistling' when air was being sucked through it, until suddenly it wasn't anymore! What a wondeful surprise!!! I already scheduled my 6-month checkup with them, and I hope I never work with another HVAC company again.

They came out and did 29 point check on my air-conditioning unit to make sure it was running properly and all of that. He checked the outside and the inside. He checked the vents, and changed the filters. He checked for Freon in there. They were offering 1 pound of Freon free with the visit, but only if I needed it, and I didn’t need any. They really did a good job and it was all for $49. I was very happy with them. The price was satisfactory because it is usually a $150. It was on Angie’s deal of the month. They were very efficient. They had two guys working on the outside, they washed it, and they cleaned whatever needed to be cleaned. The one in charge was upstairs checking the unit, the intake and outtake, and he did a very good job and he was quick. He left me a paper saying what they did step by step and I asked them for their card because they do maintenance contract; they come out twice a year, they do service your heater and A/c. They were very responsive, and they called me back and set me up with an appointment within 3 days. They showed up when they said they were. They were professional, even the guy who worked in the house, removed the shoes off and put some footloose on, and he was considerate. I am going to start a maintenance contract with them.

Tex-Perts called the day after I purchased Angie's Deal. We scheduled a morning appointment two weeks later. They called the morning of the appointment and said it'd need to be changed to an afternoon appointment, and then called when George was on his way. George performed the check-up and found nothing wrong. He added the refrigerant and said that we'd need to be sure that there was not a leak when the unit is checked next year. He left a copy of their Peak Performance Maintenance Agreement for me to look over and consider--but he did not do a "hard sell" for this. I was impressed that when he did not find any problems he did not attempt to "manufacture" any. (I'd used a large firm, also on Angie's List, in a previous year who'd diagnosed several problems. I asked for someone else to come out to re-check; he admitted that there'd been a "mis-diagnosis," and then proceeded to find other "problems" which were estimated to be approximately the same price as the mis-diagnosed" ones. Another company came out and found nothing that needed to be corrected.) I appreciate the honesty of George, his explanations of what he did, and the information that he gave about a maintenance agreement without pushing a sale.

Awesome. Tecnicians arrived at scheduled time, explained in a professional manor what they were going to do. Then proceeded to conduct their business. They removed their shows so they would not track dirt in the house everytime they came in and out of the house. They worked efficently, one technican in the attic and one working the system outside. They were very courteous. When they completed their work, the lead technician went over all the aspects of the inspection and their findings.

They scheduled promptly, arrived promptly, and reported no problem with our system and said they'd simply cleaned it thoroughly. While the technician was here, I requested information about an air filter unit since the simple 1" filter in the ceiling air return had to be changed every 2 weeks because of all the dust. The technician left me with a detailed estimate, which we did check out with some other companies, and it was quite reasonable. He was honest in telling me that we'd have less dust with a the larger filter unit (it uses 4" box-like filters), but that the dust level inside might have been ok in more typical weather; that perhaps with winter, and/or an end to the drought, it'd be ok. This was my first year in TX (previously I lived in a humid climate) so I had nothing against which to gauge whether that filter was good enough. I appreciated that he didn't pounce on an opportunity to make a sale without letting me know I might not need the extra filter that would cost $650 to have installed. The technician, and the woman through whom I scheduled the appointment, were both courteous and professional.
