Appointment was scheduled ahead of time. The technician came at the appointed time, performed the maintenance, and found no problems. He was competent, professional, and courteous. Overall it was a pleasant experience.

he was very apologetic for being late but got stuck behind a train in traffic - we have all had that San Antonio experience. He walked me through the process- showed me the issues needing repair and cost. He was knowledgeable and fast.

Repairman was punctual and courteous. He took the time to explain what work was going to be performed. The air filters needed replacing and he installed the ones we owned. Afterwards, he checked the coils, flushed the drain pipe, and checked for leaks. He checked the outside unit for air flow and cleaned the condenser coils. At end point, he told me what he was going to do and the most common "issues" and repairs to correct them. In the end, the unit checked out perfectly and he cleaned up after himself. I felt I could trust him if he had found something.

Did a great job! On time and did tune -up without finding (problems) like some companies seem to do even when there really are none. I was impressed enough to have them come back a few weeks later and replace my furnace when that went out a few weeks later.

He was very thorough, courteous, and professional. He did have to replace a part that helps jump start the condenser. This was something I did not know I needed and was a bit wary of a 'bait and switch' type service call, but I could immediately tell the difference in how my A/C was performing. Seems he knew what he was talking about! I will use them again.

He came after hours and within about 20 minutes of my call. It took abour 40 minutes to complete the work. He was very professional. In Texas I think they are the best in the business.

Technician Edgar Garcia was very professional and informative.Told him my blower was running but my compressor was not. He went to my unit upstairs and diagnosed the problem immediately . He said the drain just needed to be blown out . As soon as he did that the compressor kicked on and the temperature in the house began to drop. He took the time to offer advice as to avoid this problem again with routine maintenance. Refreshing to use a service company that doesn't just want to sell you products you don't need . Very impressed with this company and it's employee. I will recomend them to my friends.

Tech arrived as scheduled, happily did his tune up to my A/C system. There was a question if the freon (or whatever they use now) was included in the Angie's list 24-point tune up, but he agreed when I showed him the printed out coupon. I asked the tech to inspect the duct work in the attic, especially as it applied to one of the back bedrooms which always seems hotter than the rest of the house. He did so, free of charge. He noted some junction box up there that he thought was too small, or split too many directions to effectively cool that room. I asked him what to do to fix this, and he said he would have someone come out and give me a solution and estimate on that modification. He wrote this on the invoice given to me at the time of his inspection. I waited several days, but never heard from Tex-Perts. I eventually called them and asked, and they said they had the request and would get back to me. They never did call me back and it has been a few months now. So, overall, they did very satisfactory work on the tune up as advertised. However, they don't appear to follow up even when it would generate business for themselves.

Do call Tex-Perts they dont charge extra for showing up after 5pm! There are no donts!

On 6/14/12 I had routine maintenance performed om my two a/c units. The technician arrived on time and after completing the checks on my units,he said that I needed a new capacitor. He showed me the damaged part and replaced it after I gave approval. He also said that one unit needed a new coil. He said that his office would call with a quote on the part and labor. As promised, I was contacted by his office and was given a total cost for replacing the coil (including tax and labor). On 6/25/12 a technician came and replaced the coil. He arrived on time and was courteous. I was charged the quoted price. I would definitely recommend (and have already) Tex-Perts a/c and heating.

Had an AL special. Tech was professional and prompt. Did what he was supposed to do. However that was the issue. Two weeks later my AC went out. Tex-Perts tech didn't bring up anything around preventive maintenance items, which turned out to be the issue. The tech that came out to fix the AC after it went out was great and was more of a consultant than just someone doing the minimal. I would call Tex-perts for routine stuff, but I would call the other company was real issues.

The air conditioning unit in my duplex was making terrible noises. Then the motor just quit working. I found Tex Perts on Angie's list.I live on my social security and rent from my one rental unit. The technician could see that I don't have a lot of money. So he found a way to replace the motor and the fan in the existing air conditioner, thereby saving me thousands of dollars. He was quick, efficient, professional and very good at his job. I will call TexPerts for any future air conditioning, heating, or cooling needs. I have recommended them to several other duplex owners in my neighborhood.

Texperts came in and did the job in a few hours. When we had a drainage problem 2 days later? They came back immediately and added a new overflow drain that made much better sense with our home. We have had no problems since.

The overall experience was ok. The only negative thing is that I don't feel that every item in the checklist was performed as described in the ad. For example, the technician did not clean my outside unit, nor did he fill up with freon. He said that freon level was good and did not need to add. I just don't think that he could not have added some more of it, considering that the last time the freon level was checked was about 2 years ago.

I was happy with this company. My home felt cooler when they left. They were honest and didn't charge me anything extra. They did their job and left.

We had to wait several days for the appt. Our unit work working so it was just a seasonal check and we did not go without air at all. They called the day of appt. to confirm and they were prompt. Service person was very courteous and professional.

Craig (the owner) responded immediately when I called and was out to my house to look at my problem within an hour of my call. He was very knowledgeable, and gave me lots of information. A bit too much too fast actually. I got that deer in the headlights look after a while. I guess I work better off of a visual chart of options. After some discussion with the wife and my wallet, we decided the best route was to replace my entire A/C system. Tex-pert's workers were out at my house the next day and replaced the entire system by 3:30pm. For the most part I was pleased with the work. There were a few minor details that got overlooked. A few small parts left in my driveway/yard and some wiring that I think could have been installed a wee bit better. I also got a similar quote from another company and although it wasn't exactly apples to apples, the price was competitive. Could I have found a better price elsewhere? Probably, but it would have taken a bit more time and effort than I really had to spend. Overall, I'm happy with the way things went. Tex-pert's did a fine job, although for being #1 on Angie's List, I expected a little bit more polish on the details. They were very minor issues, but they were still there. I would probably use them again.

Based on an Angie's List magazine ad, we contacted Tex-Perts via their website for a quote on a replacement of our A/C system. We got a call from Craig shortly after finishing the online request even though it was a weekend. He asked some questions and said he would call back on Monday to set up an appointment. Craig called on Monday as promised and we set up an appointment for Saturday morning at 11:00. When he hadn't shown up or called by 12:00, I called him and left a message on his cell phone voice mail. At 12:30 when he still hadn't shown up or called, I called the company phone number and left a detailed message with the person from the answering service. Craig never showed up for our scheduled appointment and Craig nor anyone from Tex-Perts has ever called. If this company cannot be bothered to show up for appointments or follow up with customers I certainly don't want to rely on them to install a new A/C system or provide warranty service on it.

Got home late and found my air conditioner stopped cooling properly. With two small children and the Texas heat, I needed to get it repaired immediately. Contacted TEX-PERTS based on their good reputation and 24 hour availability. The answering service forwarded my request to an available technician and I received a return call approximately 30 minutes later. The technician showed up promptly, was courteous and helpful in his explanation of the problem, which he immediately recognized as being a bad "dual run capacitor" on the unit (it was puffed up on the top). The replacement part was $254 installed, plus $79 for a trip charge. I am used to companies that apply the trip charge to the cost of the materials and labor if work is required. I also looked up the part online after the technician left and it can be purchased for about $50, despite the bill claiming a retail cost of $242 and total install time was maybe five minutes. While I feel like the price I paid was likely unreasonably high, I am appreciative for the late night visit. The AC is working great again and the parts have a 1 year warranty. At least I know how to replace it myself (for considerably cheaper) should it break after 1 year.

Very pleased with the technician and the work he performed. However, I talked with Craig about upgrading my thermostat on two occasions and he was suppose to get back to me the following Monday with pricing and some additional information. It's now been almost two weeks and still no response. I guess he didn't take me seriously. Therefore, I will be contacting another company about upgrading, This disregard is why I can't give them an A rating. I hope they don't treat other customers this way.

I came home and noticed that the temperature was at 81 degrees, tried lowering the temperature on the thermostat and reseting the A/C unit outside. Neither worked, so I went to Angie's List and found favorable reviews for Tex-Perts. I contacted the company at 10:15pm and received a return call within 15 minutes. The service tech, George, arrived 30 minutes later. Upon arrival, he went straight to work and very quickly isolated the issue. He found that the A/C unit was very low on freon and possibly has slow leak. George recommended multiple options and provided a thorough explanation. I chose to add more freon to see how it would effect the A/C unit. After the freon was added, the temperature immediately started to cool. This is the second day and the temperature is still cool. George explained that we may still have issues with the A/C unit. Due to the professional and friendly service, I will call them in the future.

They were on time, polite, and professional. Very helpful in acquiring Appliance Insurance to fix major problem.
