This is a little long but please bear with me: Tex-perts was hired to diagnose a problem with my AC which at the time was 5-6 years old. Their diagnosis was that it was low on refrigerant, however they could not find any leaks, and proceeded to add 4 pounds of refrigerant @$100 a pound, which at the time corrected my problem however the tech attempted to sell me a complete new system at ~$8000-$9000. I also purchased a service contract at that time. 8-10 months later the same thing happens with a different tech, who also couldn't find any leaks but again, added 1 pound of refrigerant and also advised that a new system is needed $8-9000. I deferred to get a second opinion and when the tech from Bravo Heating and Air came out, he diagnosed my problem as my system was over dangerously charged with almost exactly the same amount of refrigerant that Tex-perts added, and proceeded to remove 5 pounds of refrigerant. My system now works and has worked over the course of almost 8 months without a single issue. I have called and talked to the owner and service manager at Tex-Perts who said they would try to resolve the issue but then stopped returning my calls or emails. They said that my system wouldn't have worked this long with that much refrigerant in it, which is not true; it would have been working much less efficiently, but could work. They were very responsive when I was asking questions regarding their recommendation for a new system but when my second opinion showed that they were just trying to get me to buy one became the topic, they stopped responding to my calls and emails. When I filed with the BBB all they did was lie about me not responding to THEM, which was laughable.

They were on time. They did what they said they would do. They cleaned up after themselves. I gave them an overall A just because of their overall process, professionalism, and responsiveness.

There was a discrepancy in the price. Something was not covered. Deal was for 84 point check and they said they don't do 84 point check. They said that is something Angie's List puts out there. I asked the question why am I paying for 84 point A/C check but you only checked 50 something items. That's kind of misleading, but she said that's how Angie's List advertises it. I don't want to ding them, cause I don't know if it's a miscommunication because I'm thinking I'm paying for this particular thing and I'm not getting that. The work they actually performed was sufficient, but they need to work this out with Angie's List, because we paid for a particular service and we did not receive it. For what they did, it was sufficient.

Promised on 8-23-16. Was changed to 8-24-16 to accommodate another customer. Was vaguely orally quoted a cost to repair. Not sure what the total would have been. Was encouraged to replace unit at an orally quoted price of $4,500. Had to replace some vents at a cost of $2,000. The total price seemed more than what I was quoted. I asked for a detailed list of services. Was denied saying that is just how Craig quotes and bills. Was also denied the use of a tex perts coupon for replacemen that I received in the mail on 8-24-16. It sounded like the representative told me they quote prices on the basis on the use of a coupon. Wil ask for printed service quotes from now on.

The only time that I've had an issue was when they were going to come out to give me an estimate on something and they never showed up on the appointment. It was for a repair of something. They made an appointment with me and they didn't show up. I've used them before and that has always been fine when they actually showed up.

They came out on time and did a great job with the check up.

They responded and did the job the same day.

I couldn't have been more impressed. They came on a Sunday afternoon, and only charged me $60.00. They were really, really great.

Went as expected until the pan overflowed the next morning. It dripped through the insulation and left a terrible stain on our kitchen ceiling. The float switch was: 1. on the high side of the pan and 2. stuck with puddy. The pan was tilting away from the drain. My husband had to correct it even after Tex-Perts' guy fixed the unit the next day. This tells me it was not checked at any of the routine maintenances they performed. When we tried to contact the manager he didn't return the call for two weeks. We tried again and he was in the office so we were able to speak to him. He said he would talk to the owner about refunding the cost of the company that came to dry out the ceiling. We never heard from him. Today I spoke with Christina who was very helpful in getting our refund of the service contract. Instead of calling me back she sent an email to my husband stating we never returned THEIR calls in regards to repairing the drywall. They have two numbers for us and (now obvious) an email. We never received a missed call, voicemail, or email regarding the refund and repair work. I am very disappointed in this outcome, but glad it showed their true colors. This error has already cost us $800 and will cost another couple thousand for repairs.

Guys showed up on time and did a great job. They did not try to sell me anything, just did what was promised. I am impressed!!!

Called and left message. Frank called back immediately and let me know he had two jobs ahead of me but would come out as soon as he could. I told him I would keep calling around but hoped he'd check in. And...he did. So...even though someone else was able to come out right away, Frank kept in contact and I appreciated that very much so would like to acknowledge that. Tex Perts is still on my list of those to call! :)

The service technician was very thorough and explained every step that he took in servicing our AC unit. He arrived promptly and provided a detailed invoice of potential problems that he found. We were very pleased with this company, as we had never used them before. He spent a total of about 3 hours servicing our unit. He also explained what was working correctly and what we would need to address in correcting in order to have our AC unit working most efficiently.

Very well. They did not hurry, but they checked every aspect of the AC unit - including cleaning out the unit to make sure it was functioning properly.

It was a difficult installation because the furnace had to be put in sideways due to limited depth of the enclosure. It also required revision of the gas line. Two men worked from approximately 9 AM to 9 PM. There was a problem, which I think was related to the thermostat, and a senior installation supervisor/service manager came and corrected this. I am very pleased with with the service I received and highly recommend this company.

Very nice work and fast it took just a couple of hours ,every pleased with the service.

Very professional and honest. Arrived much sooner than expected especially on a Monday. Saved our family at least $5000 by advising us how to perform the required drain pan flush ourselves. That really saved us a great deal of hassle especially since it is summer and we have family from put of town staying with usI suspect we will have to replace the system soon because of the age of the unit and but we will definitely call them to do the work. Very appreciative!

A company that I would continue service with for servicing our bi-yearly AC and Heating check up.

Very well. Company workers were prompt, efficient and professionally competent. I have their company service contract so I still deal with the company and its workers.

Cleaning indoor coil (if accessible)-ACCESSIBLE (IN CLOSET) AND DIDN'T DO. Flushing and treating condensate drain with anti-algae product- FLUSHED, BUT DIDN'T TREAT WITH ANTI-ALGAE. Inspecting condenser coil- DIDN'T DO. Monitoring operating pressures of refrigerant- DID. Inspecting safety devices for proper operation- I DON'T KNOW. Inspecting disconnect box for proper rating and installation- DIDN'T DO. Monitoring volts and amps on fan motor- DID. Tightening all electrical connections- DIDN'T DO. Inspecting and testing contactor for burns and/or pits- DID. Inspecting electrical for exposed wiring- I DON'T KNOW. Inspecting and testing capacitors- DID. Inspecting fan blades- DIDN'T DO. Cleaning condenser coil and removing debris- DIDN'T DO. Inspecting service valves for proper operation- DIDN'T DO. Measuring temperature difference between supply and return- DID. Inspecting duct work for energy loss- DIDN'T DO. Monitoring compressor for proper amp draw, volt draw, and wiring connections- DIDN'T DO. BESIDE THAT, HE WASN'T ABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM OR TO OPERATE HIS OWN TOOLS.

Edgar to the rescue! He called well in advance of the appointment, much to my relief. He diagnosed the problem quickly, explained it clearly, and fixed it quickly. And for a very reasonable charge -- especially for a Sunday!

We have been very happy with them so far. They did replace a component but the system was still under warranty. So, I got partial credit. The cost was a hundred and something dollars, not too much. It would have been three hundred and something dollars if it hadn't been under warranty still. I intend to use them again in future. They installed the system that we have now. we have had them back for checkups and maintenances before.

They are an A company, they are a good company. They don't over sell you. They don't work on commission. They don't push you. They do very good work as far as I can tell.
