Thom is extremely great to work with and is very trustworthy. He was very helpful with the installation of the sliding glass doors because those we didn't purchase from his company but it was important to have all the information that we needed to give the actual seller so that we got the right size. We are very happy with all of the new windows and thought that the price reasonable. We will definitely use Southern Pride Openings when we replace the windows upstairs and replace any other doors in our house. There was never a mess and everything was back in its place by the end of the job.

I met with the owner who spent a long time explaining the materials used for a new door plus all the options available to me. I appreciated this effort as he was not rushed which gave me time to ask questions and I did not feel pressured to make a quick decision. I selected a solid (non wood) door - very sturdy - seemed a little pricy but after it was installed, I was impressed with the quality of the door. The installation went great - on time and I was left with zero mess. Full warranty also. Would highly recommend Southern Pride Openings.

Excellent experience overall - Tom and Justin and Kelli and team are absolutely top-notch. Probably one of the my best AngiesList Provider experiences to date. Quality work, communication, attentiveness and precision. We are prepping this house for a future sale and Southern Pride Openings will be the only door and window company we will consider for our next "new-to-us" house.

We are very pleased to be able to share our experience with Southern Pride Openings.The entire process and service provided by Southern Pride Openings was excellent from beginning to end. After researching window replacements for over 6 months, we thought we knew everything about windows. We joined Angies List to find reputable window companies and were able to find a couple companies to consult. Our initial contact with Kelly told me this company knows what they're doing. Her husband, Tom, came out promptly and explained the process beginning to end with much detail. His knowledge blew us away. We asked for a quote and he gave us one on the spot. (We did consult other companies, but were not given comparable window knowledge and felt like we were given a sales pitch.) Tom did not pressure us at all and answered every question we had. After a couple days, we made the decision to choose Southern Pride Openings! Tom helped us choose the right windows and heir professionalism and genuine care for our home was so apparent from the beginning. Kellty helped me feel comfortable with my choices and understood that this was a huge purchase for us and we wanted it to look great! Tom helped us choose the windows we needed according to the issues we felt were important. For example...The back side of our home is a block away from a busy street and a highway. With that in mind, Tom told us about the "Hero" glass. Also, our home faces west, so it was important to have UV coating. On the front of our home we have 2 elongated windows that had leaded glass in them. Tom helped us choose a design that would look great on our home. Wanting a cleaner look, (we have wooden 2" blinds), we chose windows without the grids in them. Our home looks bigger on the inside of the house. The entire installation was done in 1 day!!! The windows not only look amazing, it has made a big difference in the appearance of our home, inside and out! I have waited to write our review for several months so that I could report on the efficiency of the windows...and we couldn't be happier. Our home has maintained a very comfortable 74' in the heat of the summer with a lower electric bill! BEFORE we replaced the windows, my husband put a weather station thermometer in the front living room window sill...registered 94'!!! AFTER our new windows were installed, the thermometer registered 78' and that was before our air conditioner had time to cool the house back down! The entire process from initial consult, ordering windows to installation took approx 3 weeks. The workmanship is perfect! Kelly even stopped by the house to check on us a couple times during installation! We can't begin to say how pleased and happy we are with our new windows! Our neighbors had foundation work done last week...we couldn't hear the jack hammer!!!...thanks for the hero glass recommendation! Kelly, Tom and their installation crew are down to earth, hardworking people, and it felt more like family than a company! We would definitely use Southern Pride again and recommend that you call them with your window needs!

They were beyond excellent. Prompt, efficient, easy to work with, and great pricing.

Everything went well. Measurement was taken and two weeks later windows were brought in. The whole crew was courteous and easy to work with. Our windows were a one-day install and the installer worked late to complete the job. We are very happy with how everything turned out. Once we are ready to do the rest of the house and doors, we will be repeat customers.

Came to our home to walk us through process of window replacement. They came when they said they would and followed up first visit with a formal bid and measurement on a timely basis. The bid then matched the final bill without exception. Their bid was competitive and was one of the few bidders that would also put in the bow window, most wanted to replace the easy smaller/standard windows and leave it to me to find someone to replace the bow window and large living room window set that had to be replaced. A family business that I would recommend.

Sales and customer service were attentive, prompt and professional. Crew showed up on time, performed good work and stayed late to ensure the doors were secured on day 1 (this was a large job with dual entry doors and a transom so the total job took more than 1 day). Did a great job of cleaning up after day 1 and a reasonably good job of cleaning up after day 2. The doors were not the least expensive on the market, but the quality is excellent and the end product was beautiful. I would use this company again and highly recommend them to anyone.

Tom came out to our house on 09-27-2014. After looking at the area where we needed the door replaced we sat with him for over 1 1/2 hours reviewing all options. He was very knowledgeable and very well prepared with catalogs, pieces of different type of materials used to make doors. We were so impressed that we did not contact any other contractors. Based on his impeccable reviews in Angie's List and our meeting with him we did not feel that it would be necessary. We ordered our door and Tom told us it would take approximately 3-4 weeks until they received it. I put it on my calendar to follow up with him but he called me first. Tom and Jason came to install my door on 10-27-2014. They worked almost all day. They took great care to cover the floor and surroundings and clean up when they left. The door looks great. I would definitely recommend him to others and use him again should the need arise. 11-10-2014 - I have changed my rating from B to A something I never do because no matter how amazing a contractor is I always feel that no one is perfect and there is always room for improve. This is not fair to Tom because I don't know that there is anything he could have done better. Everything about this job was as close to perfect as it could be. They are a wonderful company and did a wonderful job.

I really can't make a higher recommendation than the one I give for Southern Pride Openings. From start to finish, it was a great experience. Our initial meeting covered multiple choices, he had samples of windows and colors to choose from. Tom was very helpful and professional. When calling the company, Tom's wife was very helpful and delightful to speak with. It is obvious it is a family owned business and they take great pride in what they do and how they do it. It was a significant project and they let us know when they would show up (and were on time), and finished the entire job in one day. Great crew, neat not messy, and very quality oriented.

Our experience with Southern Pride Openings was great! Tom came out to measure and estimate windows for our new (30 year old) home, we wanted to replace the old, original windows. Tom was very professional and knows windows! He gave different options for the windows, but no pressure in the sales pitch. He was even able to find windows to replace the hard to find, small width, but tall arched windows in the home - something three other window companies were not able to do. Our total cost estimate to replace all 23 windows was $10,000 and this was getting exactly what I wanted as far as the type of replacement windows. We decided to start with 3 windows first, and do the rest when our old house sells, which just went on the market. We placed the order on September 1st and the windows were installed three weeks later and they look amazing. We decided to start with the three windows that won't have shutters on them - den windows that look out to the pool. The windows that Tom suggested for those windows are perfect and make a huge difference in the room. Installation went well, no problems at all. There is no difference in the price for splitting the order, which is really helpful. We're looking forward to our old home selling quickly so we can replace the rest of the windows soon. I highly recommend Southern Pride for windows and doors - you won't be disappointed!

Tom and his wife Kelli are great! Tom was very thorough in explaining his product and the installation process. He is also very focused on what may seem to be the tiniest of details. However, I appreciated his attention to detail because the finished product looks great. Kelli is SO very responsive. She responded via phone and email very quickly. Both Tom and Kelli are very pleasant to work with. I would definitely recommend them to anyone!! Also, Francisco was the installer and he and his team did a great job! All around I could not be happier with the product, the installation, and the finished look. Thanks Tom, Kelli, and team for great service!

Tom and Kelli are great, we have used them for our windows and shutters at the beginning of this year. So when I was trying to figure out how to fix our 37 yr old door, I called Tom. After getting several quotes on the surround I realized I could not save the original wood work, it was just too expensive to rebuild. I found a fiberglass surround online and talked Tom into installing it, and they did a wonderful job! It turned out so much more beautiful than I expected! Then we ordered a Provia Door to match our windows and shutters Tom had installed. They came back a few weeks later and finished up, installing the door, and all the hardware (letter opener, door knocker and handles) I love everything Tom has done to our house! He is a perfectionist, doesn't stop until its just right. Kelli is awesome and on top of everything, keeps you informed and all the scheduling on time.

Southern Pride were great to work with. Larry came out to explain their products and custom built doors and give us an estimate for the door we chose. After Tom came to get exact measurements, we placed our order. We chose to provide our own handle set and locks instead of using one of the designs they offered, and that was no issue. They were happy to accommodate our choice. It took a few weeks for the door to arrive, and when it did we were able to schedule the installation promptly. Justin performed the installation, and was very cautious to keep our home clean during the process. We were amazed at the difference with the new door. It fits perfectly and is so satisfying to open and close now. We chose the vallis red color, and it's perfect! We couldn't be happier with our decision to use Southern Pride. We received estimates from a few other companies, and no one compared to the level of service and ease we had with Southern Pride.

We met with Larry for the estimate, etc., and 2 other men installed the doors. Everyone in this company came across as being of high integrity, honest, hard working, and never pressured us in any way to go with a certain product or to go with their company. As a result, we have high respect for everyone in the local office of this company and would definitely use their services again! (In fact we have other work we want done whenever our budget will handle it.) The ONLY reason I didn't give the price 5 stars is because we were hoping to find doors of this quality for less. Nonetheless, we found the price to be competitive with other companies and not out of line. Everyone we talked with or met was professional, knowledgeable and easy to work with. They didn't mind us asking questions about the products or the work. The doors are beautiful and of very high quality. We've had the doors for 2 months now; just replacing the original entry doors with these made our home feel almost new and we still comment frequently how very pleased we are with how they look and how they've improved our home! I got several quotes from several different types door companies, both in person and over the phone. I liked the door manufacture that SPO carried Provia - the website had a great visualizer. Tom came out two times to make sure we got exactly what we wanted. The door arrived within the time frame promised and was installed shortly after that. Installation went smoothly, they took every effort to protect the interior of the home. It's amazing to see the lack of quality in builder grade doors, our new door is not only beautiful it feels like a real door - like Fort Knox. The door exceeded my expectations, as did Southern Pride through the process. We will be ordering new windows from them very soon!

I needed a new door from my house to the patio. Tom Herold came to my house to explain the product. He spent a long time going over all the details and helping me pick the door, the door pattern, the hardware finish, the colors, etc. Since the door was to be made at the factory, it took about three weeks after it was ordered to arrive. Three weeks later I spoke with Southern Pride Openings and we scheduled the installation. The installer came on the day scheduled and explained what he was doing throughout the process. The door is absolutely beautiful and the colors match the inside of my house and the outside siding on my patio exactly. I am so pleased with the door and with the service Southern Pride provided. I would use them again and I would recommend this company to my friends.

The presentation by Tom was superb, has visuals, demonstrations and "see to believe" proof of why these windows a the way to go. His installers are knowledgeable and great problem solvers and are extremely well-versed in "clean as you go". Really a wonderful experience and can already tell the difference the windows have made in the week they've been in. Their whole operation is professional and their pricing is hard to beat too. I will be scheduling my next windows in the next couple of weeks - work in process, you see.
