Texas AC & Plumbing Specialist

My downstairs went out late Friday night and as luck would have it I had out of town guests arriving the next day. I called (actually texted) TX AC Specialists the first thing Saturday morning and received a prompt reply and a scheduled appointment time frame of 10:00 to 12:00. Domingo arrived at 10:30. checked the system out and informed me that my compressor had locked up. I was expecting the bad news as I had used TX AC Specialist in 2008 for the upstairs AC unit. They replaced the evaporator coil when all other companies kept trying to sell me new AC units. All the companies,including TX AC Specialists, told me that my HVAC systems were on borrowed time due to their age. But TX AC Specialists was the only company that offered me an option. I got 22 years out of my 2 Trane HVAC units so knew it was time to replace them. It was ano brainer for me, based on their past exceptional performance, they were the only company I allowed to bid. I decided to have both systems replaced since they were the same age. Domingo provided me with a quote on the spot, and said they could do it today. Which shocked me considering it was a Saturday. Their crew was at my house by 1:00 and went to work immediately. They explained before hand what they were here to do, and kept me informed through the whole process. They laid down drop cloths on he floor where they were walking and covered the clothes in the closet (access to my attic is in the master bedroom closet) with sheets.They had both systems installed in half a day. They hauled off all the old units and even cleaned up after themselves. Including vacuuming! Domingo and every single one of the Technicians was polite and professional. I have dealt with several HVAC companies over the 22 years for my first set of HVAC units and always felt that the sales/technician was always trying to upsell me something. I never got that feeling from any of the crew at TX AC Specialists. I can't say enough good about this company. I very recommend them highly!

They came and did a great job. They came the same day. I had called them once before and they did an inspection a year ago. The thing that impressed me the most was that they came in and looked at my system and they were open and honest. They said it was going to cost a lot of money to fix it and they tried to give me the best deal on a new unit.

Came out on a Friday afternoon shortly after a call to their office--a/c wasn't cooling and we had guests coming for the weekend. They performed troubleshooting and explained problem and recommendation for repair. Part was needed but might not be available until the following week. Shortly after the tech left and returned to his office, he called and informed me that he had located the part and would return the following morning to repair, which he did. Very pleasant receptionist and technicians. Technician made our a/c system a priority to repair, on a Saturday morning.

They were always here on time. They were very courteous and very honest with me. They don't sell me staff. The previous company I used, every time they came there was something that they wanted to sell.

He didn't charge for parts or the run to Home Depot! Outstanding service exceeded our expectations!

Everything was professional, from the first phone contact through the actual installation. The office gave me the price(which beat several other estimates), the installation team came when they were expected, took out the old furnace, installed the new one, and hauled the old one out of here. Will definitely use this company again, although I hope it is not in the near future!

I really like this company. They are responsive, fair and creative in offering solutions. A/C broke, they were out before their Scheduled arrival (called first) and they were just great.

What a fantastic experience. I arrived home on a Sunday evening and realized our heater was not working. After poking around in the attic noticed the drain pan had filled up as well. We reached out via the website and heard back within 10 minutes. Wow. We did not think we would hear back until Monday morning at the earliest. 2 hours later they had a tech at our home to resolve the issue. They didn't even charge us for draining the pan and cleaning the lines. I highly recommend these guys.

Could not be more satisfied. From the visit by the estimator to the techs who di the installation, all personnel were professional. friendly and efficient.

It went very well. I called to get a second opinion on the condition of my unit. I expected to have to pay a minimum service fee and to my surprise I was told it was free to evaluate my unit and there would be no charges unless work was needed. Tory arrived on the day the appointment was scheduled and he was on time. He went over the unit and confirmed what a previous service person another company had determined - I had a pin hole leak in a copper coil. He said the unit did not need to be charged. I appreciate his honesty since a couple of days before the unit had been charged (I had not shared this information with him when he came out). He said I had a little time maybe a year before the unit failed. The company carries several brands and he discussed with me the one that would best fit my needs. He gave me a written bid before he left and answered any additional questions I had. I had a great experience with this company. The person I spoke to when I made the appointment and Tory were very professional. I will use Texas Air Conditioning Specialist when the time comes to replace my unit.

I called 8am Saturday morning and he was here at 9:30 gone by 9:50. Air came on immediately. Price was a little more than I expected but glad he came out so fast before we burnt up another night!

I scheduled an appointment for an estimate for a new A/C system. A man named Domingo showed up at my home a little earlier than scheduled. He was supposed to send an estimate shortly after his visit. I sent him and e-mail. I called his cell phone. He did not respond to either and I haven't heard from Texas Air Conditioning Specialist since. Unimpressive. I'm sure there are other vendors that will inspire more confidence. I am amazed these guys rated so high.

I am in awe at the level of service I received! This experience was like a good old fashioned, down home service call. Edsel "Eddie" Perez is the most incredible technician I have ever met. This young man was mature, arrived early, explained exactly what he was doing and even took the time to walk me through the process of how the system should work. All this while having the patience to train a new employee. His work area was neat and clean when he finished the job. I bought a service contract and he took the time to explain what it did and did not cover. This company could give lessons to their competitors and other businesses in how "customer service" is done. I truly cannot say enough good about the level of service and my level of satisfaction~ If "Eddie's" coworkers are anything like him this company has nothing but continued success in its future!

We had the fan blowing, but not cold air. I called them and they sent someone out in two hours. Quickly he detected that we had a freon leak and we had a unit that was 12 years old and could give more trouble. The same day they sent guys out to replace the condenser and AC Unit. Very impressed.

Different quotes were provided from just changing the compressor all the way to replacing the entire A/C unit.They even provided ways for us to finance since we told them we could not afford the cost of replacing the entire unit. Unfortunately we did not qualify and had to go with the lowest cost option, which was just replacing the compressor.The compressor was replaced in a timely manner and it is working just fine up to this date.

I am very impressed with Texas Air Conditioning Specialist. I just bought my first house two weeks ago to discover that one of the outdoor units wasnt running. I checked the breakers, etc then decided to call a specialist. My first call to a different company resulted in them telling me I had to pay $75 just for them to come look at my unit. Then I went to the website for Texas Air Conditioning Specialist's website and filled out an appointment request. They offer a free estimate to come out and figure out what is wrong with your system. About 2 minutes later someone from Texas AC Specialists calls my cell. I was impressed right away with the speediness. The person said they were booked up all week (this is on a Tuesday) but said he would try to get someone out that day. The technician arrived 30 minutes early and was very friendly. He diagnosed my problem quickly and asked if I wanted to have him to do the repairs, which I said yes. He then helped show me where my indoor units were located and told me all the steps need to maintain my a/c units. This was extremely helpful since this is my first house. I will definitely be using them again in the future. They are friendly, efficient and well priced.

They had to order the coil out of San Antonio. Was supposed to be in the next day, but wasn't in stock, so they over-nighted it. They said they'd be here first thing in the morning, then called & pushed it till noon, then 2:00 p.m. finally showing up around 7:00 p.m. I understand that shipping can be "iffy" and they DID keep me informed of the delays, so I'm not holding that completely against them.

I can't say enough about how professional and nice Thomas was! I'm thrilled it was so easy to fix. Even better that I wasn't charged a fee for the service call. You can be sure I will use Texas Air Conditioning Specialists in the future and recommend them to everyone I know!

I used TX AC Specialist a year before for a complete upstairs system replacement with excellent cost and service. I called them out today due to issues with my secondary furnace not heating. They arrived within a few hours and did not charge a thing since it was simply cleaning a sensor. AND did not try to sell me a service maintenance plan like other repair companies have done, of which when I needed a repair the service plan did not cover. Highly recommend TX AC Specialist.

I was pleased overall with the service. The technician was very polite, friendly, and professional, and did a good job of explaining how to program the new thermostat. I would definitely call this company again.

I had visiting family over the weekend, so of course the air conditioning went out. I found this company on Angie's list and called. (This was my first time utilizing Angie's List). They came out the next day and were courteous and prompt. They went over the necessary repairs and had a replacement Trane out quickly. I went with the same brand to keep it simple and I trust the brand. It wasn't installed properly and that is when the problems started. First it wouldn't turn off. They came out and put in more freon. Then it flooded my hallway and a bedroom. They did not offer to do anything about the water. The repairman glued a hole shut that he said should not have been open. It still wasn't doing right and another repairman came out and took the cap off of a tube that wasn't supposed to be there. That seems to have taken care of the problem, but this was a two week ordeal and my carpets haven't been the same. I spent a lot of money for a lot of heart and head ache. I should have posted right away, but I was so upset by this experience that I haven't been back on this site since. The company was always polite, but never apologized or seemed remorseful about the problems that arose. It felt like they were trying to be careful not to say anything that might hold them responsible.

TX AC Specialist did an excellent job replacing our AC system. Their price on a Trane 18 seer high efficient HVAC system beat two competitors. Brian was able to work me into their schedule at the last minute, which was a great relief for me and my family. They exceeded my expectations and I will definitely use them again when I need to replace my second AC system. None of the installers left until the system was completely up and running.

They were quick to respond and were professional.

We had multiple problems with some local HVAC repair companies and needed our unit repaired fast since it had been several days and most companies would not come out or return our calls. I contacted Brian at Texas Air Conditioning Specialist and had someone out there that day and put in a new outside unit and a coil inside. He also arranged all of the financing and everything was done in just hours. Plus the price was $800 to $1000 less than everyone else. It was a blessing.

I called them the minute our A/C unit stopped cooling the house. Within 15 minutes a repair guy was at the door and immediately started working on the problem. Within 15 minutes it was working again after replacing a capacitor and some minor parts. So in less than one hour after the A/C unit quit working everything was fixed and the price was extremely reasonable. This is the best service experience I have ever had. They deserve an A++++
