Covered Wagon Moving

They were short staffed so one of the individuals was not a seasoned mover. They forgot their tools, fortunately, I had mine to disassemble the beds and furniture. Did not appear very organized.

They were good, they were timely, and the only issue I had with them is the price I got I paid for off of Angie's List, they then charged me, the company themselves then charged me an additional $20-$30 on top of what I already paid on Angie's List, for what they were saying was fuel, and I got in a big argument with the guy telling him that that's basically bullsh#t, that whatever payment I made, when I buy a service off of Angie's List that's what I'm paying, I ain't paying an additional money, and I got into a huge argument with the guy, never even paid it, but they still came and moved, but I refused to pay additional money for what they considered to be fuel charges. I basically told them they need to include that into the price that you bill through Angie's List, that's bad business, if someone's on Angie's List you pay a price for a service, that's what you should be paying. I don't like when a company comes back at me and asks for more money, that just leads me to believe there's some crooked sh#t going on, and so I had a good half hour, big time argument on the phone with this dip sh#t, and it ended with them still coming and helping me pack stuff up, and I never paid the 20 or 30 extra bucks for their fuel. That was the only issue I had with that company, but the guys that came and did the work were good and timely, and what not. The actual guys that do the work were great. The owner, I could care less for. I will grade the guys that did the work, and they're an A, as usual, those are the guys that get sh#t on, so, the owner of the company is the one that's constantly scheming people out of extra money.

Covered Wagon crew did a great job making sure my items were protected and moved promptly. I have used them three times, and would use them again.

Arrangements were made several weeks in advance. I explained to the owner what I had and could it be done in the two hour window advertised on Angie's List. He said no problem and it worked out perfectly. The movers called to let me know they might be a bit late due to traffic problems. Once there, things went very smoothly and quickly. I also got a cash discount.

It was completely great. Had to make 2 trips with a stop at another location. Covered Wagon guys took it all in stride.

The packing job was about as terrible as it gets. They packed one day and did not finish due to lazy work habits (such as playing on their phones) and not bringing enough supplies. They assured me that they would finish the next day no problem. They showed up late on move day, and were not prepared with enough supplies to finish the job as promised in the agreed upon timeline. This resulted in them just throwing things in boxes without proper packing. They exceeded their 4 hour timeline by 2 hours. They also had to bring another truck with more supplies because they didn't bring enough yet again. I live in a 2 bedroom apt that was about 1000 ft^2. This should not have been that complicated. I will never use them again.

They showed up right on time, easy to schedule and professional. It was a great experience and I'd absolutely use this company again.

Went very well. The moving guys called when they were on their way as well as when they arrived at the pickup location. And they were at the drop-off location in good time. They moved the items to the right room and even assembled the bed frame! The Covered Wagon movers were professional, courteous, and helpful. I'll definitely use them again for any moving needs.

My move was fine. The move for my referral to my assistant was a catastrophe. They showed up 3 hours late for a move from a 10 x 10 storage unit to a home. They then were rude, and proceeded to open the boxes and take photos, for what they claim needed to be sure nothing was broken. I had the same service, and they did not do that to us. Then proceeded to arrive at the home and had to explain to my assistant why the boxes were open. The final straw was the employee then asked my assistant out on a date, she was offended and spooked. Now she feels vulnerable that these guys know where she lives and knows that she is a single mom. Never again would I recommend these guys. A call was made to the owner to discuss, he downplayed and it, told her she had nothing to worry about. So disappointed.

Excellent company. Great communication and follow up. They scheduled a time and met it. Excellent work quality. They even dropped off some articles of furniture to goodwill after the move was over. I would use them again. There are many shady movers around. This operation is professional and completely honest.

TLDR; Covered Wagon moving was the most reasonably priced and hardest working moving crew I've seen. I would highly recommend them to any person looking to use professionals. They are the best. Paul at Covered Wagon moving exceeded my expectations from the start. I contacted the 3 highest rated moving services in Austin from Angie's List. Paul's website and voicemail directed me to their website, where I inputted my moving information and received a quote back the next business day. The other two services quoted me a price in excess of $2000 dollars. This was more than double than the quote I received from Paul. I was shocked to see how reasonable his quote was in comparison to what I had seen from these other highly rated services. I told the other companies that i would not be using their services after receiving Paul's quote. They then told me that they could match his quote which told me that they had been disinterested in being competitive from the start and were more likely looking to extract as much as possible from my wallet. We had several issues arise during the weekend prior to our move. We asked Paul if we could move back the scheduled day to our move to which he agreed without changing the price on us which was another greatly appreciated gesture. The movers called around the 9am start time and let us know that they were going to be a few minutes late as they had been stuck in traffic and were thus slightly behind schedule. They showed up a few minutes after the 9am start and started working promptly. My wife provided the movers some donuts which they graciously accepted and loaded the truck up very quickly even having to share the elevator with another moving team. With the entirety of the contents of the storage units loaded up in the truck, they moved everything to our home. They moved all of our furniture to the requested locations without a complaint, including our heavy entertainment center up the stairs. The movers were very careful and did not leave any markings on the walls or on the furniture. My wife also asked them to set up all the beds as we did not have a chance to do so as i was at work. They told her that they could do that but that they would have to charge her for their time, which I appreciated. Considering that there were several people to help set up the beds very quickly they did it in no time flat. the most amazing thing was that the quote we received included a time estimate of 6 hours. The movers completed the move in 5 hours and 45 minutes and so are very reasonable estimate came in cheaper than we had anticipated to which my wife and I were greatly surprised. So what we had anticipated to be a very difficult trying day ended up being one of the easiest parts of our transition to Austin. This was wholly due to the excellent service we received from Covered Wagon moving. Thanks Paul for getting a great team in place!

Trey and his crew did an outstanding job. We had a lot of items to move including some delicate furniture and art work. All items were moved without any damage. We moved into a newly constructed home with very high end hardwood floors and travertine floors. It was very important to us that none of the floors were scratched or walls damaged during the move. None of the floors or walls were damaged, which we were very grateful. Trey and his crew were easy to work with and listened to what are concerns were regarding the move. We would recommend Covered Wagon and Trey's crew.
