Description of Work: Howell Services replaced my heater in the attic to my central unit. They are so trustworthy that they had access to my house while I was at work. They did excellent work and in a timely manner. Would definitely recommend them and definitely use them again. The BEST!

Description of Work: Problem turnrd out to be a simple commode stoppage, wife and I are semi-invalids and couldn't pump it hard enough to do any good. I called Howell based on their ad in a Sugar Land phone book, they gave me the price for a visit ($ 62), included in any work done. The rep arrived right at the set time, diagnosed the problem and cleared it up in a few minutes. He said he could rod out the line for another $ 100, but didn't think it was necessary. So we settled up for the $ 62 and he was gone in less than an hour. Good service, very knowledgeable rep, a good experience.

 + 0 moreThey completed the work as promised after I paid the additional $1600. Hopefully the problem is fixed, cost about $2100, not sure about any warranty. I will update the posting if the problem resurfaced again. I don't know if the price is too high, but I called around and their prices seem to be about the on-going rate, may be I was able to pay +/- 200 using another service, but I did not see a huge difference between contractors. Assuming the problem is fixed, and I paid fair market, I will rate this provider top rating for everything, except price, I will rate fair since their price is average, not exceptionally high or low. They are pleasant to deal with, and very prompt
Description of Work: Called them on Sunday to clear a clogged main sewer pipe, they cleared it, but charged me close to $500 dollars. They said the price includes diagnostics with a camera. About a week later, they took pictures inside the pipe and they emailed me photos with quotation for 1600 to dig part of the old pipe out and replace it with schedule 40 PVC: "QUOTE: DIG UP 4" PVC PIPE FROM WHERE HUMP IS IN LINE TO BROKEN FITTINGS THAT I COULD SEE ANDREPLACE WITH SCHEDULE 40 PVC PIPE AND FITTINGS. COVER ANY RUBBER TYPE CONNECTIONS WITH CONCRETE AND COVER HOLE WITH EXISTING DIRT. $ 1600.00"

 + 1 moreThis contractor primarily works the Richmond/Rosenberg area, but sometimes in the Houston area also. I had a water heater leaking in a rental property and Howell was called to provide an estimate. I met the technician and we agreed the heater needed replacing. They began work right away and were finished in two hours. Job included new 6 year gas 40 gal heater, new water lines up thru floor, new copper connectors, pan, and drain lines. I was very pleased with their work. I have used them for years and are always professional, thorough, clean, and on-time. I have used Howell for HVAC work also, including a complete new installation. They don't do electrical work, but if electrical is needed they bring in a qualified electrician. I highly recommend them.
