Smith Lawn & Tree

It did not go at all. Very poor responsiveness and no services performed.....

No progress, just a waste of time. First time I called I asked for a price on lawn mowing. I was told someone would get back to me with a quote. Never heard from them. Most recently I had (actually have right now) a problem with a shrub and tree shedding leaves and c turning brown. I was told someone would visit my property in 'a couple of days' for a diagnosis and treatment plan. Again never heard from them again.

One of their guys came out and gave us an estimate. I sent them an email asking when they would come out but I heard nothing from them. All of a sudden, their truck shows up with the guys ready to do the work but there had been no appointment made in the first place. I happened to be home that day so I let them do the work. The bags of mulch they used was more than the estimate I was given and they charged me for the amount they applied. It was very irritating; the communication was terrible. The work they did was pretty good, however.

I contacted Smith Lawn & Tree on 5/2/14 and spoke with Tammy from the front office. She was very friendly and professional. I was immediately scheduled for an appt. with Jud Smith (owner) on 5/5/14. Mr. Smith arrived on time, was professional and wrote me a competitive estimate. The next day I called Tammy at the office and accepted their bid. The work was scheduled to be done on the morning of 5/22/14 at 8:00. When the morning arrived nobody showed up or called regarding my appt. I called the office at 8:45 and left a message wondering why their crew wasn't at my house. Nobody ever returned my call. I called them back again at 10:00 and finally got a hold of someone in the office named Tina. After being put on hold I was told the crew had made a mistake and went to the wrong house. I was next in line after they completed their current job. I voiced the fact that I wasn't happy about not being called back (she said she had received my earlier message) and was stuck waiting around because of their mistake. Tina explained I didn't have to be there for the work to be completed. However, I wanted to be there to make sure the work was done to my satisfaction and to the parameters set by the original work estimate. I feel like they missed the entire point of the issue so I just cancelled the service. Never heard from anyone representing the company after that.

We have been billed but a second crape myrtle has not been delivered nor planted as arranged.

The provider did not show up for scheduled appointment, and when contacted regarding missed appointment, they did not remember scheduling or offer to reschedule.

He was so nice and knowledgeable. He did exactly what he said he was going to do and went above and beyond.

They did an excellent job and they cleaned up the yard after. I will use their services again.

Jack said he would email my quote to me the following week, and I still haven't heard from them, even after an email to their company on the 25th of March (2 weeks out). We were hoping to have this scheduled and done by now, but we will have to start over and find someone else. I am bummed because this company is so highly rated on Angies List. I have always had great luck with referrals on this site.

He arrived on time and called while he was no the way. He got right to work and had higher end equipment that allowed him to get the job done more quickly. I was very IMPRESSED, he fixed a problem that 3 other sprinkler guys could not and they did it in under an hour! He also got a zone of sprinkler to work that I was told could not work by 3 other irrigation service companies. Don't waste your time and money on anyone else!! Thanks again!!

They came early, worked quickly, cleaned up everything. Great! Would absolutely recommend! And I like that they are a Ft Worth company!

They were excellent. They were very prompt, their price was resonable and they were an A+ all around.

They were here bright and early, like they said they would be. Went straight to work after confirming which trees to remove and trim. Did all that was expected in a timely manner, cleaned up all debris when they were done. Nice, clean friendly guys. Have used in the past and will use again in the future.

They were good. One day they were timely, one day they were late with no call. I needed to work and so I have to call where they were. The work met my expectations and they removed debris. Their tree service was fine but their sprinkler system was expensive.I would hire them for tree services again.

E-mailed Smith Lawn and Tree detailing my needs and requesting service. No response from them in the six days since. I have moved on to another Angie's List provider.

We have several mature trees on our lot -- red oak, live oak, a couple of types of pecan and a red bud. All of them needed attention and most of the subject limbs were too high for me. We called Smith and set an appointment. Jud arrived exactly on time and I showed him around. He's very easy going. He told me what it would cost and approximately when the crews could come out. He said we'd get a call to schedule it. The scheduling call seemed to come immediately and we were set up for about 11 days later. The arrived when he said they would and they finished in the amount of time he's indicated (about half a day). They left me some firewood as I had requested. Everything was cleaned up and they did a good job.

The sprinkler system was installed by Smith Lawn and Tree Service on May, 2005. We noticed there seemed to be a leak coming from our side of the water meter , guessed it was probably the sprinkler pipe and so called on Thursday last week. The earliest time they could come was Monday (today) in the PM. However the repair man called this AM and said could come this AM so that was good. He arrived just when he said he would and quickly determined the problem. The price he quoted to fix was "less than $200.00", so we requested him to fix the leak. The leak was really worse than we expected and it was apparent that the leak had been happening longer than we thought. He dug up the area of the leak and replaced all of the pipes. The mess was cleaned up and the entire process was completed in a very timely manner. The final price was $130.00 to be billed. He also tested the existing sprinkler heads. Will use again.

Had to remind them, repeatedly, of missed items. Watched them blow debris into pool.

They have done other jobs for me. They have basically done every area of my yard, and I have been happy with them.

They worked hard and did a fine job. We will have them back.

It was good to have a single full service provider for all of these jobs.

They were responsive and punctual, but their quote was high to me. They were going to charge an additional $175 to remove the stump which the other company didn't.

Repair work was quick and top-notch. The repair man didn't just do a patch job. He replaced the full line from the leak point to the sprinkler head. In addition, he asked me if I would like the head moved to where it should have been all along. I would definitely use Smith Lawn and Tree again.
