They were perfect and friendly. They went above and beyond with everything. They walked us around the finished front and back yard. I would hire them again.

Smith Lawn & Tree recently re-did our side yard. I say “re-did” but they basically started from scratch with an uneven, overgrown pasture with poor drainage that we couldn’t use or enjoy at all. Smith extended our fence to give us a larger space, set the fence in a new retaining wall that they poured to protect our landscape investment from washing out, mounted on the fence custom-made trellises to match the aesthetics of our home and style, leveled the entire space, constructed a hardscape area according to our design ideas, installed new irrigation zones, and gave us beautiful grassy space and plant beds. Our goals were to have an attractive outdoor living space that (1) didn’t blow our budget, (2) gave us privacy without blocking our neighbors’ windows with an ugly solid fence, and (3) addressed leveling and drainage concerns for long-term sustainability. We are thrilled that Smith delivered all of this with a level of professionalism, responsiveness and service well beyond what we expected! We love our new space and are very eager to recommend Smith at any chance we get!

This company is everything a customer would want all the way from courtesy, grasp of the project, knowledgeable personnel to execute and real efficiency. They were wonderful to work with; they did everything I asked and more.

Came promptly, did a good job, and left area very clean. Very Professional crew and very polite.

They did my mother's yard for a couple years. It was always a big headache. Wouldn't do what I asked them to do. Always had to call or email several times to get things straightened out. Not worth the hassle at all.

Smith did a very thorough job of trimming all of my trees.

Once I got on the schedule they arrived at the time they said they would and completed the job efficiently and completely.

From my perspective this was a relatively large job w/multiple parts. I had requested other bids & Smith Lawn & Tree seemed reasonable & was a little lower than some others. An arborist on their staff came & assessed what would be good to do & explained thoroughly what he recommended & what he didn't recommend (I had my own ideas but his were better!). Removing the Hackberry was a full day job as it had to be cutdown in sections. They kept the debris very well confined & the cleanup was thorough. They came back a second day to do the other trimming I requested. I did have some questions when they were done & I really appreciated their willingness without hesitation to comeback a third day & to do some add'l trimming on the Live Oak. To me that demonstrated a customer service ethic that makes me want to use them for other needs & recommend them w/o hesitation. One thing to note was they use an "industrial size chipper" that takes a pretty large truck to tow. It wasn't inconvenient for me but I suppose it could be in tighter circumstances (or neighbors who aren't flexible!).

Smith Lawn and Tree sent out their arborist to do the initial evaluation of what needed to be done. He advised the two large globe willows we have had borer worms and that was reason several large limbs were dead or dying. He took picture and explained what the team would do. They arrived early on 10/29. They had a chipper to grind up the limbs. They used the photos so that they knew what needed to be cut. They worked for approximately 6 hours. They racked up all the remains and made sure all the gates where shut so that animals couldn't get out. The arborist responded back with email about what treatments could be done to eliminate the borer worm and get the willows healthy now that the dead sections were removed. I did take their advice and get the chemicals from Home Depot and treated the trees. They seem to be doing much better and will know more when spring comes and they leaf out. Smith Lawn and Tree did a great job with fantastic follow up. Highly recommend them for any tree work that is needed.

We well - they were very professional and responsive and answer numerous questions to satisfy the need to remove a very loved plumb tree that was past saving. In fact they had to make several trips to ensure that the tree could not be saved and did so without complaint.

We called back in March. The specialist John told us that live oak trees are better serviced after June due to potential fungal infection. So the service was provided this month. The crew removed about 20% of the branches and the tree (about 28 feet high) now looks much "cleaner". They also cleaned our driveway, lawn, and hauled away all the trash.

It went horrible. Will never use nor recommend this company.

A tree in my backyard had fallen to the ground due to the saturated ground from all the rain and high winds we had in May. The tree took our fence out with it and landed in our neighbor's back yard. Naturally our neighbors were anxious to have the tree removed from their property as soon as possible. I called several places for an estimate including Smith Lawn & Tree ("SLT"). Several other places I called didn't call me back at all, and another that did gave me an estimate nearly 3x the one SLT gave me (which was also consistent with an independent insurance adjuster estimate I got ahead of time). Also, SLT returned my call the same afternoon I called and was able to actually do the work the very next day after I authorized it be done. I was especially impressed and appreciative of SLT's ability to get the work done so quickly given all the extra workload they had at the time due to the stormy weather north Texas had just experienced. The work crew also arrived on time, was courteous, did a thorough job removing the fallen tree, and cleaned up afterwards. I couldn't have asked for better service and the price was in line with what I was expecting. I hope to not have to have a fallen tree removed again, but if I do, I will definitely use SLT again.

Called Smith for an estimate. Three days later John came as scheduled, examined the trees and gave me an estimate. John is a certified Arborist, not someone with a pick-up and ladder. The crew came one week later and did a superb job at a fair price. The crew left my property cleaner than they found it.

The storm that came through the area on April 18th, 2015 split my tree in the front of my house and it is resting on the house. Called to schedule someone to come out and give me an estimate to take care of the issue. The receptionist was very nice, but apparently there is only one person that can come out and do the quotes. He is over booked and cannot come out until the following week. They do not do quotes on the weekends either. It is nice I guess that they are very busy from their perspective, but I would expect for them to work later hours and even weekend times when storm situations occur and people have emergency situations. I can ill afford to leave a tree on top of my house for a week for this company to finally make their way out.

Extremely pleased and having them back for more work!

This company advertised that they do service in my area, so I contacted them for quotes on Lawn maintenance and landscaping needs. They responded quickly to my scheduling request, but stated they were not interested in residential services at this time, even though they are doing and only interested in commercial accounts. I contact them and asked if they would add that they are really only interested in commercial business, this way residential customers like myself do not waste 2-3 days of my time corresponding with them only to be told they are not interested in residential business at this time. Very frustrating, I am new to Angie's list and I hope this is not what I continue to find from their service providers. Truth in advertising will help everyone save time when looking for a service provider.

Wow.........these guys are fantastic. They got here a little past them time they promised but immediately went to work. The crew of four had the entire tree debris from both trees cleaned up, chipped into their trailer, trimmed the upper limbs and professionally cleaned up our yard............all in less than an hour. The limbs they chipped were not small with some 8-10 inches thick. Before they could finish, two of my neighbors came and asked them to clean their stuff up in their yards. They left my house about an hour ago and are still in the neighborhood. If you want the job done right and very professionally, these are the guys to call. I will use them for all of my future tree work...........can't say enough good things about them.

They were excellent. We had a load of stuff to do, and they sent two really great guys out. They stayed until 9 and finished the work.They were prompt to come out and give us a quote and they stayed with the quote. They were just excellent. The price was fair for everything that they did.

My initial meeting with Mr. Smith went well and the price he quoted was very reasonable. The crew arrived right on time and got to work. I had to leave, but when I returned later that day I was even more pleasantly surprised than I expected. My patio and driveway were cleaner than when the crew arrived. If I hadn't known 4 trees had been cut down, I would not have believed it. I highly recommend this company.

They called and said they be 2 hours late but arrived on time to: cut dead limps get limps over power lines and roof cut odd shaped limps cleaned up both my yard and the neighbors yard chopped up limps and stumps They are very professional , experienced , efficient and practiced SAFETY Measures.

They're very good, I love their service. They do what they say they're going to, arrive at the times they schedule, they worked through a light rain, and cleaned up when they were finished.

Initially the service was good, however this is unsatisfactory to have a 20lb box be installed so insecurely. All the work that was done earlier is now wasted. In response to companies response. They didnt call the number I gave them. Whoever took down the information did not do a good job. If customer service was a priority then my issue would have been resolved. They had multiple different oppurtunities to do so with no resolution. I feel as if they could have gone above and beyond for customer satisfaction but they decided to pass on it rather than follow through. I sent them a copy of the invoice of the work that had to be done by another vendor and pictures to show this is a legit issue. They still decided to go another avenue instead of rectifying the situation. To me it seems customer service is not their number one priority.

Guys worked efficiently. Talked in over with supervisor on each tree, i.e. what I was looking for and what he suggested. It turned out we were pretty much equal with regards on what should be done. Everything looks good. They hauled everything away and you couldn't tell they had been there except for the trimmed trees. Even got some advice on what to do about mold on our crepe myrtles.
