ARS / Rescue Rooter Ft. Worth

I have dealt with this company before-- they will "getcha" on the price if they can. Their website has a coupon for $88 +$15 service charge= $103.00 total. Don't let them charge you more because they will. They come down fast once you call them on it. It's a big chain.... That being said, they are prompt... and you don't have time to wait when your sewer is backing up. Curtis came out to clear my line, and he was really nice and polite. You never know what technician is going to show up and the last guy I dealt with was pretty grumpy, so that was a relief. Within about 30 minutes, everything was back to normal. I know we need a new main line installed pretty soon, but in the mean time, this will keep life running normally.

They were courteous and prompt, and did not charge an initial fee to assess. But the bad news was they quoted a price ($248) that was 40% higher than the going rate. When we said no, they dropped the price to 208, then "found" a coupon to reduce the price to 158 (still $15 over the going rate). Then stated that a second line needed to be cleaned as well, so with misgivings, I approved another $80 charge. Though the service was good, i do not trust the whole pricing procedure, and will not use them again.

Very quick response after a sewage backup. Curtis cleared the blocked main and examined to identify the problem area. Initially, the break was identified as under the street and the city's responsibility. After the city identified the break on my property, the plumber returned promptly and remained on-site until the city returned to again identify the problem. Curtis was professional and personable throughout the process. When it was clear the break was, indeed, on my property, Curtis arranged for Kyle to estimate the repair. Kyle arrived within the hour, estimated the cost (minus the cost of the previous bill) and had his crew out to repair it within hours. The correct identification of the problem, estimate and repair were completed in an afternoon. I am very happy with the service provided throughout this experience and am pleased to have a plumbing company I can trust to call next time I have a plumbing issue.

Fast, efficient, friendly, knowledgeable, experienced, punctual and reasonably priced. This is the second time I have used this provider (the first was during a Christmas Eve plumbing emergency - and it was an emergency) and I am planning on using them again in the very near future. I wish I found these guys 20 years ago - it would have saved me countless hours and a huge number of dollars. On this particular visit, scheduling and resolution occurred within hours of each other.

I called told them my problem Wednesday morning, said I used them before. Lady on the phone Kim, "I can have someone out to your house in 45 min." I said great! 40 min. later Michael was at the door. Two min. later, he pulled out lots of hair. (I was slightly embarrassed, because I should have checked this for myself) I thought this is going to cost me at least a service call. Michael said "I going to run the snake through the drain just to make sure." He left me a work order and said there was no charge. Great people, will never use any other plumbing company!

They did an excellent job and were very professional. they do good work and are pricey.

I called ARS on Sunday because there was a water gusher in my yard coming from a leak somewhere off the main water valve. They were very patient with me as I was slightly freaking due to not having water (had to turn it off), and it being a Sunday. They coordinated for a plumber to come out in a two hour window that same day. The plumber showed up promptly, was very professional and detailed in his assessment and explanation of what the problem was. He provided a quote right away as well as including a military discount (which was discussed on the call, which discounts ARS offered). The plumber told me step by step what he was doing. A couple of hours later, the leak was fixed and I could turn my water back on. The hole in my yard had to remain until an inspection was done to confirm the fix. Once the inspector qualified the fix, ARS came back out and filled the hole and reverted my yard back to normal. I was very happy with ARS, their responsiveness, professionalism, cost and would use them again in the future.

Our pipes tend to get root intrusions on a regular basis, and this time the clogging was so intense that it took the provider several hours to finish. Other providers sometimes suggest replacing the entire system, or using more expensive equipment, but this provider did not do that -- he stayed until the job was done (and I was there for the whole thing -- it took a long time!). We appreciate his diligence and prompt service. It was just a tad more than we've paid other providers for the same service in the past.

Shawn and David have earned my business for the following reasons. 1-Prompt and Knowledgeable. 2-Accurately diagnosed the problem. 3-Provided a competitive cost quote. (not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for. 4-Followed up after the repairs and they were always very professional.

Came looked at pipes and after 15 minutes decided he didn't feel like he could do the job and left.

It went really well. He brought in an auger type thing and got both sinks unclogged. The sinks have the condensation from the air conditioners drain through the sinks pipes. He had me purchase this liquid that will clear all the gunk from inside the sinks pipes while the sinks are still draining. I am hoping it helps. He cleaned up any mess he made.

They were very prompt arriving 30 minutes after the call was placed. Everyone was very helpful, friendly, professional and informative. The job was finished quickly and cleanly. I will definitely use them again!

I had to use them because of the home owner’s insurance. They didn’t pay much of it but I had to use them to get what little they gave us. There was no damage to the house. They were actually wonderful. They were very, very good. I have their card and I will use them again without it being an insurance issue. I have never had this problem and hope to never have this problem. I never had a problem since.

As I already said it was a disaster. The plumber did not know how to clear a toilet he had problems with the auger getting jammed in the toilet. Leaving us with problems that returned two weeks later and we had to call another plumber to repeat the operation again. This Company refused to offer any kind of warranty on their work probably because they knew it was so shoddy. I asked this question before they left the house because I was so concerned about the difficulty that they had had and I thought that there will be problems in the near future. They never told me that there would be no warranty because in the past I had always had at least a 30 day warranty. I think it is very sleazy that they don't tell you that there is no warranty until after they perform the work.

Originally called ARS on a Saturday morning due to clogged drain line. (Water and sewage were not flowing out of any drain in the house! Only back in!) They arrived as promised and diagnosed the problem as a clog in our main drain line. While here, the technician, Devon, noticed another problem with a toilet and we showed him some other plumbing problems we had been having (including leaking supply line in one bathroom). Devon evaluated all the issues, made recommendations to repair, and provided a complete estimate. We took advantage of the fact that he was here and had him complete ALL the work suggested. We are thrilled with our correctly flushing toilets and non-leaking valves and water supply lines. He also provided us with a chemical solution to use monthly to help keep our drains clog free. He also evaluated our water heater and provided suggestions for eventual replacement. He provided tips for maintaining our water heater and made suggestions for future maintenance on other plumbing. He did a great job at a fair price on a Saturday! We will be calling ARS for our other plumbing related jobs. Thanks, Devon for all your help and great suggestions!

They have said they are going honor the coupon on phone and when they come home they point to their fine print.

After a heavy rain, toilets would not flush completely. I had done my own research on issue related to toilet gargling, etc. I had flushed out the vent stack prior and it resolved the issue. However this time, I flushed out the vent above shower and waste water actually came up further in toilets and came up in shower in the master. I called ARS (using their $69 1-drain cleaning deal) and Marcus promptly arrived. He snaked through front yard cleanout and did video. As he video'ed, he pointed out that the pipe had repairs before and it was in poor shape. At some point previous owners had repair done where installation of PVC was used. My system is cast iron so we were able to see this clearly. He also showed me that there was a sag in the pipe, possible pipe rotted out on bottom and/or roots. He had called another guy, named Chad, to evaluate the pipe and provide me an estimate. Marcus was polite and professional - wore covers over shoes while in house. Once Chad arrived, he had already video'ed the line while Marcus and I were waiting in the house for him. Never knocked on the door to say he was there. Once we saw he was outside, we went out. Chad immediately -without even a "hello" questioned me on who repaired the line with PVC. I explained I bought the house last year and do not know that information. He began to tell me that it would need to be replaced. The bathroom was next to exterior wall. When I asked Chad questions- he was extremely rude. When we were outside, I asked how much this stuff usually costs, does homeowners typically cover, etc. He said it would be $5,000 and that I could get it financed. When i said that there was no way for me to do that even with finance option...his demeanor and attitude towards me was even worse and was extremely uncomfortable/unprofessional. He wouldn't give me a written estimate and this is what he said, "if you are not going to do it now than the estimate is no good. And the prices WILL go up from this day forward." Another question I asked him was about the work and the process of it. Chad came into house with pipe finder and located where the pipe would need to be replaced - which was in the middle of hall bathroom. My plan is to remodel the bathrooms-including bathtub, so when I asked him if it made sense for me to try and coordinate the pipe fix with demoing of my bathroom remodel. He cut me off as if my question was stupid, and said that we "dig outside under the slab." Then repeats himself ...when I asked if the AC unit outside would be a problem..."WE DIG UNDER/AROUND SLAB." I asked him whether it made sense to replace the entire sewer line piping instead of piece it together like previous owner. Sp would it make sense while the labor is done to dig and get under there to replace pipe line coming from the bathrooms to main? Which is a straight shot on one side 45 feet. Once again he was short and contenscending towards the question and immediately said to "repipe your entire lot with cast iron would be $100,000. do you have $100 grand?" My question was not understood by him, because he cut me off. First of all, if someone wants your business and has questions - don't be an a$$hole because they are not comfortable signing off $5,000K right off the bat. He even went on to say that there could be all sorts of other problems below the slab that would make the price go higher. I understand that something that is not seen by eye and hidden may add additional $, but give me break and give me a ball park...and ya know write it down. Also, the whole concept of instilling fear into a customer such as "well you better not throw any tissues down your toilets or use these bathrooms." Give me a break Chad! Like I said Marcus was a Gem, but I would not use ARS for pipe repair if Chad is the guy.
